I have loved Lindsey Kelk's books since the I Heart series and never miss a single one, they are my guaranteed comfort read that I know will raise a smile.

When Ros returns home to the UK after four years in Washington DC everything has changed. Her dad has recreated her bedroom in a shed at the bottom of the garden, her parents are loved up in quite a disturbing manner and her best friends all seem to have moved on. A misguided text all contacts manoeuvre on her new phone end up with her being reunited with the man (Patrick) who broke her heart when she left for America. Now we can see he's a bit of a douche and who she really should be hooking up with but Ros is lust blind and desperate to reconnect with the good old times.

Loved it and a what a total blast of nostalgia Ros's bedroom/shed was!!

When Ros steps off a plane after four years away she’s in need of a job, a flat and a phone that actually works. And, possibly, her old life back. Because everyone at home has moved on, her parents have reignited their sex life, she’s sleeping in a converted shed and she’s got a bad case of nostalgia for the way things were.

Then her new phone begins to ping with messages from people she thought were deleted for good. Including one number she knows off by heart: her ex’s.

Sometimes we’d all like the chance to see what we’ve been missing…..

Lovely easy read for lockdown afternoons chilling by the fire - really enjoyed this even if was a little samey and predictable. Would read more by same autho. Thanks to netgalley for an arc of this book in return for my honest opinion.

This was an up and down story. Some parts were very entertaining and lighthearted, other parts I could have done without. I haven't read any of this authors books before and she has a large following but this didn't quite hit the spot for me.

In Case You Missed It by Lindsey Kelk was another fab book. I loved, loved loved this book, read in a day I could not put it down. This book follows Ros who is living in her parents shed after returning from America. Thinking her life would pick back up from when she left it but her three best friends have moved on so now Ros has to decide whether she wants her old life back or something new.

I love Lindsey Kelk, and have been a fan since the first Iheart book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it still tickles me now that she was living in her parents shed. The supporting characters were brilliant and really made this book, I would love to meet her parents, although I'm glad that they're not mine. A fun, interesting, heartwarming, sometimes frustrating (Patrick, you will see what I mean) read..

I could definitely relate to Ros wanted things to be like they used to be. She wanted to turn back time because she was looking at her past with rose tinted glasses and I can appreciate that. She also really wants to succeed at work and it rounded out her growing all areas of her life.

The only part of the story that I struggled with, was understanding how Ros put up with Patrick. She’s clearly blinded by her feelings but it was frustrating to read about how she was accepting so little from him. But that is realistic and happens all the time.

John was lovely and precious, I was rooting for him however I would have liked a bit more romance in the story. I do appreciate though that the book was more about Ros’ growth as a person.

This story came along at the right time for me. I needed to escape from a fraught work experience and Ros took me away from the situation and brought me so much laughter.

There are some emotional scenes that brought tears but my main takeaway is laughter.

Two scenes stay in my memory:
Ros going into the men’s loos when it’s empty.
Belly laughing at Ros shopping with her mum.

Ros is a great character and totally relatable. I thought her job added emotional depth and portrayed how life can change for influencers and the impact that has on families. Her friendship circle is a great foil for all that’s going on. Sumi, Adrian and Lucy are important for different reasons and all try to anchor her in the present and not the past.

We all have one who ‘got away’ and most of us wonder how it would have been had things been different. Although all relationships are unique, Ros and Patrick’s is similar to my own experience (and probably for a lot of us). You know it’s not exactly right but you can’t say why for sure. Sometimes it’s easier to go along with everything but usually the universe will give you a kick and get you moving …

If you need a pick me up, this is the book for you.

Ros' story was great. Full of drama without ever being too serious, romantic, funny and heartwarming. Chick-lit (or women's fiction) at its best. It's clear that Kelk is a seasoned writer - her characters are well-developed, the plot trips along at just the right pace, and the dialogue is entertaining. I felt like i knew Ros well by the end of the book, as if she were a living breathing person and one of my best friends.

This took forever to read. I just couldn’t get into it and from the off I knew the end. It was just so predictable. I’ve read and enjoyed other books from this author but I’m sorry to this this wasn’t as good.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

I truly loved this book, Ros was the perfect character. She was well written, and a character not afraid to have flaws. The scenes where she was working for the online videogamer, had me in actual laughing tears. A brilliant book and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking to read a happy book in these difficult times!

Rom com is not my chosen genre but I wanted to give this book a try. The characters were described well and I could picture the story in my mind and the interactions between people. However it was a bit boring, following the life of someone who is living in the past and making silly choices.

But I guess that's to be expected with this genre, there were funny parts throughout the book. There were definitely characters that I liked and the odd one that I definitely didn't.

Overall a reasonable book but just not my type of read.

This is a nice easy read, an uplifting romance about the importance of friendships and living in the moment. Lindsey Kelk writes very well, and has a light comedy touch. It made me laugh and cry. I enjoyed it very much.

"In Case You Missed It" is another fantastic novel by Lindsey Kelk and I had a great time reading it. The story revolves around Rosalind who, after spending a few years in the US, gets on a plane and goes back to England. She has decided to reconnect with everything she is missing: her family, her friends, and maybe (just maybe) her first love. However, not everything goes as planned and soon Ros finds herself too focused on the past and forgets to live (and enjoy) the present moment.

As mentioned before, Lindsey Kelk has done it again! Ros' story will make you laugh out loud and it will also show you the importance of failure, friendship and what we do when we are truly in love.

I felt a bit like I was waiting for the story to get going for most of this book. A bit beyond belief in parts but it was an easy read.

This book seemed to take an age for me to read it, no idea why. It had a great start to it, an ok middle and then picked up again towards the end.

I actually liked the fact it was very current with technology, the story was centred around E-Sports etc.

This was my first book by this author and I would like to read more, I think I may have just been in a reading slump when reading this one which is why it took me so long.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
