keen to return to her twenties- what Ros views as a great period for her.

The book itself was fine, but I would only describe it as fine. It started quite slowly and I found Ros quite hard to warm to and a little bit ridiculous in places. Although I loved the nostalgic references, I still didn’t really like her as I found her to be frustrating (and sometimes judgmental) and I just wasn’t fussed on the outcome of her (mis)adventures.

That being said, the book was easy to read and well written. I just didn’t enjoy it as much as others appear to have done!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone knows what you get when you read a Lindsey Kelk book. Fun, a rollercoaster of a relationship and laugh out loud moments. This book didn't disappoint. Oh apart from the bit they tried to tear down Heathcliff BUT I can forgive that because...well it's Lindsey! Definitely recommend.

Thank you Net Galley and Tandem Collective

I’ve read a number of Lindsey Kelk books and I think this is my favourite so far.

In this book we follow Ros, 32, as she returns to London after working in Washington DC for 3 years. Ros is jobless, living in a shed at the bottom of her parents’ garden and she’s finding it difficult that her friends’ lives have moved on in different ways.

What ensues is an incredible group of friends circling round and being supportive to each other, whilst a series out laugh out loud moments occur. I genuinely couldn’t hold in a giggle or HA! on a few occasions.

Of course, on top of this there is a romance for Ros and other characters. This was a fun, easy read with likeable characters and a great escape from the “current situation”

Hilarious, oh so relatable & heart-stealing!

I naturally abandoned all plans and curled up to devour this novel and I'm over the moon to report it was everything I hoped it would be and much more.

I was rooting for Ros from the start she is smart, funny, chaotic, and real. Her misadventures will have you crying with laugher and cringing. It is definitely not all plain sailing... but life never is, is it? Is Patrick the one who got away or he is better left in the past?

The whole cast of characters is full of depth, fabulously relevant and diverse. From their skin colour, sexual orientation, to the over 60's couple still enjoying a sex life (I will never look at sushi the same way again!). It is real and representative.

The sprinkles of 90's nostalgia throughout are icing on the cake... who remembers groovy chick?

I have so much love for this book. It warms your soul, it's authentic and brimming laugh-out-loud moments. I shall most certainly be grabbing a real copy for my shelves, this is one I'll want to read again.

Kelk at her very best! - Don't. Miss. It.

A huge thanks to Harper Collins UK & NetGalley for gifting me a copy in return for an open & honest review.

Another great rom com from Lindsey Kelk with Ros, a radio producer in her thirties, returning to London after a spell working in Washington DC, to find that everyone has moved on. This relatable story of realizing life has moved on all of a sudden was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed the love triangle as well as all the great supporting characters, who all have their own stories, like Lucy, who is married to a questionable chap and has a baby on the way. Would heartily recommend this to anyone who enjoys an easy happy read with plenty of chuckles in there too. Thank you to Net Galley for the free advance readers’ copy of this title.

I have just finished this book this morning and I have given it a 3 out of 5.
For me the story was OK, but it went on a long while with nothing really happening. The characters were alright but some got quite annoying. Unfortunately I didn't really enjoy the book but that is just my taste. It was very well written, there was a plot and the cover is nice too.

I really enjoyed this book and loved getting to know all the characters with all their faults and problems, so much so that I was a little jealous that I wasn’t part of the gang.
I laughed out loud at Rosalind’s parents shenanigans and the shed/Studio flat at the bottom of the garden that Ros’ Dad has made for her for when she returned back from the failed job in the USA.
Snazzlechuff (what a name) was a great nod to the YouTube generation and his Agent Veronica was fabulous and certainly said it like it was.
I was begging Ros to open her eyes about Patrick and see that John was actually a nice guy but I won’t say anymore about this as don’t want to spoil it for other readers.
Humour, love, cross generations and friendships, this book had it all and although this was my first book by Lindsay Kelk it definitely won’t be the last.
Thank you to Harper Collins UK via NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review, which is completely my own.

Lindsey Kelk is a master at making her characters feel three-dimensional, relatable and realistic. I could definitely identify with the main character, Ros. She’s had to move back home after leaving her life in Washington and finds herself living in a shed at the back of her parents’ home in London. Life has taken her on a path she wasn’t expecting but she’s determined to make the most of the opportunities she has been given.

There is plenty of hilarity in Ros’ new start. It’s not too often I find myself laughing out loud with a book but this certainly did. It is the perfect blend of all the things you expect from a contemporary romance. Great characters, hilarious mishaps, predictable twists and some deeper moments too.

The only thing I didn’t particularly like was just how predictable it felt. Though this isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you’re wanting an easy read to switch off with. This would be perfect to take on holiday and read on a sunlounger without a care in the world.

Lindsey Kelk has written another fabulous novel that doesn’t disappoint.

A first by Lindsey Kelk for me. Thoroughly enjoyed it & made me definitely ant to read more of her stories. It was one of those books you can't put down, as the characters were all so engaging & I needed to find out how it ended. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read it.

Lindsey Kelk deserves to win all the literary awards for this hilarious, heartwarming romantic comedy. After reading her books for over 10 years I know I won’t be left disappointed. In Case You Missed It is yet another fabulous page turner that will have you laughing, crying and yearning to climb inside and give Ros a reassuring hug.

The sad reality of life is that time stops for no one and it can be easy to fall into a state of nostalgia when your life is not going the way you hoped. This is the situation Ros finds herself in when we meet her. Having returned home after living in the USA for 3 years she finds that her friends are reaching new life stages, her parents have moved her into a garden shed and she hasn’t got a job. As Ros negotiates these changes, a craving for her old ‘perfect’ life leads her back to her ex boyfriend Patrick. But there’s one problem is Patrick really the man of her dreams or a cure for loneliness.

I loved Ros! I found her so relatable and would often shake my head at the familiar warning signs when it came to Patrick. I did not love him - arrogance would be an understatement! I really liked the dynamic within the friendship group, Kelk has a knack for developing characters that have so much depth. I liked that Sumi was a straight talker, whereas Lucy would be less judgemental and Adrian seemed to be the fun friend. The dynamic of the four friends truly worked.

I don’t want to give too much away because this book is just brilliant! All I will say is the characters are fabulous, the witty one liners will make you laugh and if you’ve ever thought about texting your ex... read this before you do!

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, this is definitely my new favourite Lindsey Kelk book.

Loved this book. A great story to curl up with and while away the day. I enjoyed every moment of it and will look forward to reading more books by this author. Could imagine reading this on the beach and just letting the world go by.

The queen of the RomCom, Kelk returns with the story of Ros. She has spent three years working away in Washington and now that she has returned she wants to pick up her old life in London just where she left it. Unfortunately her family and friends have other ideas and they have all moved on. Mum and Dad have embraced the empty nest and rekindled their romance so Ros has been relegated to living in the garden shed. Lucy has now settled down and is expecting a baby. Sumi has a steady girlfriend and a serious career while Ros kinds herself back where she started.

Jobless and struggling to find her feet Ros gets herself a new mobile phone and downloads all of her old contacts from the cloud before sending out a mass "I'm back! This is my new number... " text message to all her contacts. It has the desired effect and soon she is being inundated by people getting in touch. That includes Patrick, the cad her broke her heart by breaking up with her when she got the job in America. Responding to Patrick's message is a really bad idea. It took her years to get over him. But since when did alcohol and good ideas entwine?
In Case You Missed It is a fun story about friendship and love, about growing up and realising who you are. If you're looking for a perfect escape from 2020 you won't go far wrong.

From sheds to Snazzlechuff, I loved it all

In Case You missed It was the perfect read to get me through a particularly trying time during the Corona virus pandemic. It has everything I needed, best friends, dodgy parental antics, a handsome man, and a guy who thinks he’s God’s gift to the written word. Oh and let’s not forget the shed.
Had I been in Ros’s shoes, I would have myself in the bottom of the garden, but with the help of a technological mishap or maybe the ignorance of a technophobe Rox learns that there is life after the USA.
There was not a character in this book that I didn’t enjoy, even an ex can have his uses.
The authors humour portrayed in Ros meant my phone falling on my face as i drifted off to sleep was the only way I could put this book down.

After Ros touches back down in the UK after 3 years in US, she’s living in an exact replica of her bedroom in her parents’ shed, in need of a job and reconnecting with friends. She sends out a message to all the contacts in her old mobile phone and receives one back from an ex. Not just an ex but THE ex, the one that got away. As she revisits this romance and readjusts to her friends all having new lives, Ros is about to discover if her 20s really was all that or if things are about to get better.

I really enjoyed this book, Ros is flawed but likeable, you’ll laugh and cringe at her while cheering her on. Kelk does a great job at portraying that awkward stage in your early 30s where some of your friends are moving on and settling down, while some are single, free and want to continue on their 20s carefree lifestyle. There is romance but I think the heart of the story is the friendships and the journey Ros goes through personally. That it’s very easy to miss the past when you’ve got rose tinted glasses on! Another smash from Lindsey. I read this in May during lockdown and it was exactly what I was looking for then in a book. And I really want to go to a roller disco now!
