I wasn’t really a fan of the “I heart ....” books, I usually prefer the standalone novels and this one is definitely the best yet. Although obvious who the heroine is going to end up with, it was a pleasant journey to the final destination! This is perfect lockdown-pretend-you-are-at-the-beach read.

So it took me a while to get into this book, I would maybe call it a slow burner. However, once I got into it I just couldn’t put it down! I absolutely love Ros! I’m so glad she saw her self worth! It is a book that teaches you about the value of self worth too! I really loved John and was cheering for him from the beginning!

'In Case You Missed It' is a wonderful book. Lindsey Kelk has woven an enchanting story that is exactly what I want from a romance book. It follows Ros as she sets out to re-discover who she is when she's at home. There are heartbreaking moments alongside heartwarming ones and Kelk has written each part, each character, each arc perfectly.

I don't think there's anything I'd want to change about 'In Case You Missed It'. It's thoroughly enjoyable and written so brilliantly. I flew through its pages and devoured the story. Kelk has written a clever reflection of real life, and while it may be a little similar to every other rom-com story out there, it's simply so much better.

Lindsey Kelk you smashed it yet again!!! I absolutely adore all your books and this one is no different. Yet again I fell in love with all the characters and if I had a complaint it would only be that the book ended - I want to read more about Ros and her friends.

Ros returns from three years abroad working in America. With no job she is forced to move back in with her parents, who it would appear have rediscovered themselves and their love for one another. As she catches up with her besties, Sumi, Lucy and Adrian she finds out how life has moved on in her absence. They no longer want to hang out in the comfy old pub that was their go to place when they shared a flat but now go to this swanky new bar - a place that Ros doesn’t immediately gel with and gets off on the wrong foot with the owner, John.

A group text sent out to all her contacts with her new number has massive connotations. The main one being that it reconnects her with the man who broke her heart before she moved to America.

This book is hilarious and Lindsey Kelk just tells it how it is - no holds barred. All of which makes for a fantastic read. There are more than a few cringey moments which just make it all the better.

Returning back to the UK three years after leaving for her dream job in Washington DC. Everyone has moved on and Roz just wants everything to be the same as the day she left. The twists and turns of four friends and family members as Roz comes to the understanding that looking backwards means you miss the here and now and can miss chances for the future. Lindsey Kelk at her best.

Lindsey Kelk never fails! I feel like I’ve said this about a lot of different authors lately but all my faves seem to be stepping their game up! Lindsey’s books always make me giggle and the characters are always engaging. I absolutely loved the character of John and the supporting cast of Ros’ friends were all absolutely fab. A lovely easy summer read, I'm on furlough from work and reading like a demon in this funny old world we are living in at the minute, this book is perfect for taking your mind off things, some really lovely charecters and a really great story, loved every minute of it, a perfect garden read

This is the first book I read by Lindsey Kelk and definitely not the last! It's an entertaining and well-written story, perfect to escape real life for a few hours. Ros is such a relatable and lovable character, insecure, starting a new life back home after a few years abroad and trying to hold on to the past while everyone else has moved on.
I loved all the characters, every one of them was well developed and I would love to spend an evening with them all (well, except Patrick obviously). Veronica and Sumi were my absolute favourites :-)

This was a rare beast; a chick lit with quality, well drawn characters, wit and a little pathos that was just enough to make me think and question what I'd do, if I'd want to go back and recreate that time that I think I loved.

Funnily enough I've read a gazillion second chance romance stories where the couple do get back in touch after being wrenched apart, they work to overcome whatever deeply held hostility/misunderstanding had got in between them and discover they were destined to be together after all so it made a really refreshing change to experience a totally different take on that trope. Just trying to recreate a perfect night out by doing it all again has never gone that well for me so I get it. I have to say this story kind of resonated with me - "memory believes before knowing remembers" as William Faulkener put it.

This wasn't just about Ros's love life though, I absolutely nloved her relationship with her friends and her family too. It was warm and uplifting to read and just genuinely funny, I had such a good time escaping into this book, I struggled to put it down.

I haven't read this author before but I enjoyed this one so much I'm going in search of more by her. A fab , undemanding and warm read. Recommended.I

Ros returns to London after spending three years in the US producing a radio show. She is slapped back to reality having to live in her parents shed in the garden, because they're 'rediscovering love' in retirement,cringe!😅 Coupled with this, she accidentally texted her ex boyfriend back into her life, and all of her friends are now 'proper' adults, Ros is feeling a little disconcerted. How will she start to reintegrate and, most importantly, why is she spilling her life out to John, the lovely owner of her friend's favourite bar? Life is complicated..... or is it🤨

4⭐- Frilly, flirty and fun, this book is a great summer read! There's laugh out loud moments, cringy moments and fuzzy moments that meld together to create a funny read. If you like Marian Keyes type books, then get this when it's out!

I love the I Heart series so was really excited to read something else by this author. And, I was pleased to find that this was actually very similar – a fun, light-hearted comedy with an overarching romantic theme.

Main character Ros was another slightly chaotic but incredibly likeable, smart and funny lead – typical of this author. Whilst she frustrated me at times for letting boyfriend Patrick treat her so badly, I could totally relate to her feelings of self-doubt regarding her professional talent and career, blaming herself for life’s inevitabilities such as redundancy.

Ros was ably supported by a wonderful cast of secondary characters – in the form of friends Adrian, Lucy and Sumi as well as adorable love interest John and straight-talking colleague Veronica. The dynamics between the four friends was so true to life and best summed up by Lucy who when asked by Ros if she should hook up with Patrick again said “We both know you would have called Sumi if you wanted someone to tell you not.”

There were lots of laughs from Ros’ parents moving her into the garden shed to surprising her boyfriend (and his important colleague) dressed as tiger. But, my particular favourite was her fourteen-year-old celebrity client Snazzlechuff refusing to go on stage unless she agreed to a date, only to then announce her as his girlfriend to the packed out crowd and world’s gaming press.

Being of a similar age to Ros, I also loved the moments of childhood nostalgia such as roller discos and Judy Bloom reference.

I’ve given this a solid 4 stars because whilst I really enjoyed it, it didn’t quite live up the I Heart series for me – which is probably unfair on this but I can’t help comparing the two.

In Case You Missed It is sure to brighten any reader's day. This was an hilarious & heart-warming tale with relatable characters. I loved Ros and I'm sure countless other readers will too!

In Case you Missed it by Lindsey Kelk has a thoroughly enjoyable, if a bit frustrating and predictable storyline. That doesn’t diminish its appeal. I loved getting to know Ros and her friends. Obviously her blind fixation on Patrick is the frustrating part but he does seem to be genuine in wanting to get back together .....doesn’t he? Let’s add a new brooding man to the mix and take it from there..... light hearted romance which is very enjoyable

Relatable and nostalgic read, stayed up half the night to finish it!
I would love to have the friends Ros has, always there for one another and ready to party, her sisters a bit annoying though!
We all have that one person who got away, whether a good thing or not!
Would you try to reconnect? Or should the past be left in the past?
I loved the adventure and mishaps Ros gets herself into from falling over, hanging on a fence or failing abysmally in front of an audience, all adds up to a riveting read with a satisfying ending.
