When Ros steps off a plane after four years away she’s in need of a job, a flat and a phone that actually works. And, possibly, her old life back. Because everyone at home has moved on, her parents have reignited their sex life, she’s sleeping in a converted shed and she’s got a bad case of nostalgia for the way things were. Then her new phone begins to ping with messages from people she thought were deleted for good. Including one number she knows off by heart: her ex’s. Sometimes we’d all like the chance to see what we’ve been missing.

Oh what an entertaining read this proved to be! Kelk provides the perfect mix of laugh out loud humour and a more serious plot. Honestly this read was so very enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

This starts with Ros returning home, quite literally to a shed, although we do not know the reasons why initially, we follow her as she settles back into her old life and even with her old boyfriend. Along the way Ros might just learn a thing or two. Now, a book such as this does not have shocking twist after twist but it does provide pure escapism and I adored losing myself in this read. Throughout the book I felt every emotion Ros was experiencing, I laughed a lot but there are more emotional moments as well and it all made the book feel very touching.

Ros happens to be one of my favourite characters ever, she is so realistic and so likeable. It was like reading a book about a friend and I adored following her as she navigates her life. I have to give a special mention to her parents, I will not detail their antics but oh wow are you in for a treat! Then we have her friends, I want them to be my friends! All of them are so funny, very individual and bring something to the book and to Ros' life.

'In Case You Missed It' is pure entertainment from beginning to end. I loved getting to know Kelk's wonderful characters and the plot is so entertaining and had me beaming. This is such an enjoyable read and you cannot say better than that.

This was a light and fun read with which I happily passed the time. It was really well written and I loved the characters and humour.

An entertaining book with slightly predictable conclusion. Some quite funny parts with fun, outlandish at times, characters. I found the main character, Ros, to be a mix of naive, chaotic, needy, irritating but somehow quite engaging in parts. A quick light read to escape with.

Such a brilliant book about starting again and friendship. I loved the dynamic of the group of friends in this book. The book also included another book boyfriend for me to swoon over.

I'd heard lots of good things about Lindsey Kelk and I was excited to read In Case You Missed It. I enjoyed it but it felt a little too predictable. I know that romance books usually are predictable to some extent but this just fell a little flat for me.

It is well written and I did laugh out loud a few times but for some reason I struggled to connect with it overall. Right book wrong time? Maybe.

The thing with a Lindsey Kelk book is that it's like catching up with an old mate, on your sofa in your fave Pjs, with a nice glass of vino and 'In Case You Missed It' is the prefect tonic to this crazy world right now.

In usual chaotic but hilarious still, Ros is a heroine you root for the minute she ends up in the men's loos in a pub (not as seedy as that sounds). She has a group of mates who you'd happily hang out with in the pub (especially as the landlord is one of their besties and is happy to give drinks on the house).

Ros has just returned for 3 years living in America and wants her life to return to Ros 3 years ago, including getting back in touch with her ex boyfriend...Patrick - I'll say this for Patrick, he clearly went to the Daniel Cleaver school of being a cad.

I have complete faith in Lindsey that she wouldn't let her heroine settle for anything less, especially when there is a landlord giving away free drinks on he horizon!

Chuck in a baby shower, vow renewal a leaky shed and a genius sister and you have all the making of a classic Kelk book.

This is a brilliant read!! Simple as that. I absolutely fell in love with the character of Ros. I think she may be the most memorable of all the characters Lindsey Kelk has ever written! Plus I quickly became so invested in the story that I raced through the book. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is the first book I have read by this author, I requested and was granted this ARC copy to read/review, I am really glad I did.

A beautifully told story with great and development and lots of laugh out loud moments, such a sweet funny romance that flows easily. An honest portrayal of falling in love. I absolutely love this author's realistic writing style, with clear and convincing dialogue between the characters, she has the ability draw her readers into the story, making me feel as if you are right there. Real and honest characters that were greatly developed and blended well .

I love Lindsay Kelk books and always look forward to a coffee and sit down getting lost in her stories. This wasn’t my favourite story of hers and for that I was disappointed but as a story in its own right I loved it. There were lots of interesting secondary characters and the relationship between her mum and dad made me chuckle a lot! I loved John and hated Patrick in equal measures and the break up scene had me in stitches!! Such a vivid picture 🐯 I also loved the idea of her being relegated to the garden shed!

All in all a fun read

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot (plenty of reviews doing exactly that if you're looking for that sort of thing).

This is a light and fun read - absolutely perfect for the trying times we find ourselves in at present - and it made me laugh out loud several times.

Parts of the satisfyingly chaotic (to keep it lifelike!) plot could start to seem a teeny bit predictable, but then come a series of twists to keep you on your toes.

I sympathised with Ros's precarious situation on arriving back in Blighty and her determination to improve her lot, and was delighted when she succeeded (in a random alignment of the stars). As the parent of a gaming-mad teenager, her new job sounded entirely believable (as did Ted and the others at PodPad!).

There are some fabulous characters, and I really warmed to some of them (Ros herself, Simi, Adrian, John, Veronica and her protege). Ros's parents are characters (her Mum in particular sounds great) and their "exploits" are hilarious - I will never be able to look at sushi in the same light again!!!

Is there a happy ending? Well you'll have to read it for yourself and find out!

I haven't read any other novels by Lindsey Kelk, but after this she's certainly on my "happy to read" list and I'll definitely seek out her other works.

I was completely involved in this story from the start, Ros is a great character even if a little reluctant to ‘let go’ of the past.

In Case You Missed It is about Ros who has come back from working in America, having to live with her parents in a shed and finds herself reconnecting with the love she left behind - Patrick. He is not the most likeable character you will ever come across; he is selfish, arrogant and only wants Ros when it suits him. Ros is determined this her second chance at getting the relationship right, she is determined the future can be perfect now they are back in each other’s lives, they love each other and that’s all that matters.

Her friendship group – Sumi, Lucy and Adrian are just the absolute best (they do not like Patrick at all). I wish I could be part of that group, they sounded so much fun. They are caring, compassionate and understanding but not afraid to deliver some serious home truths to Ros – which she does need on occasion.

Ros’ parents are an absolute hoot, they provide some wonderful comedic moments that had me laughing out loud. I’ll never picture sushi in the same way anymore.

Lindsey’s writing style is what sets her books apart from others. It’s fun and humorous, modern, and the books are always relatable to so many. This book is a great celebration of reconnecting with the people who push us forward, support us and purely have our best interests at heart. It is a tale of second chances and realising there is nothing wrong with leaving the past where it belongs.

In Case You Missed It is a wonderful mis of drama, emotion, romance, and humour. It is a gorgeous read that you will want to devour all in one go!

Now, not sure lockdown is the place to start thinking about boyfriends past but what the heck? I dived into this book with wild abandon! Maybe it's because we're of a similar age but reading Lindsay's books feel like 'coming home' - she has a same reference points and I just 'get' what she is talking about!

Fans of Lindsey will love this book, I'm sure. While it lacks familiarity of the 'I heart...' series you won't fail to warm to the characters. I, for one, wanted to join them at the end of the bar on a Friday night - remember that feeling?

6ft 4 John is a dreamboat from the get go and of course, Patrick Parker is a wrong 'un. I read this book quickly and enjoyed it enormously.

Well Lindsey Kelk has done it again! An absolutely stunning book. It made me laugh out loud and giggle all the way through! A perfect book for times like these!

This is an ideal book to read in trying times, it certainly made me smile. Excellently written, believable and likeable characters with an entertaining and sometimes chaotic plot, supplying plenty of laugh out loud moments. The plot's a bit predictable but who cares, it was a good read. Thoroughly recommended.

I'm at an age where I can totally understand where Ros is coming from; reminiscing about the past, not really sure what's going on in the present and having not much of a clue as to what the future may bring. So, this was a really refreshing read, as although I know it's fiction, it is also nice to know there are others out there in the same boat.

I love that this is written from Ros's perspective because you really get to experience everything as she does. The story has its ups and downs and we really get to live through that with Ros.

I think her parents are the sweetest couple and her friendship group sound wonderful; I'd happily read more about all involved and more of the other stories by this author. I think it needs saying that I think the ending was finished well, with just enough of a glimpse in to the future to get a full sense of how the story for us has ended.

I really enjoyed and it brought me a much needed laugh. Definitely worth 5 stars.

This is a new author for me but one I will look out for more often now. This book had me in fits of laughter, tears, giggles... Gosh... I love a book with really likeable characters and relatable to real life and this gives all that.

One to read when you’re looking for a feel good read

I have enjoyed all of Lindsey Kelk’s books and was looking forward to reading this one; as with all of Lindsey’s previous books this one lived up to expectations.

The story follows Ros as she returns to the UK after working away for three years. All her friends have moved on with their lives and Ros is struggling to do the same. When she reconnects with old boyfriend Patrick, she thinks she’s living the life she wants until she realises she’s not and rather than trying to recreate the past, she needs to look to the future.

Another great book by Lindsey Kelk. A warm lighthearted and fun story with great characters, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read with the perfect ending..

Another brilliant read from Lindsey Kelk. Great characters, fun story line and just a whole lot of life for us to enjoy. Meet Roz as she arrives back in the UK after returing from Washington. Watch as she reacquaints with old friends and makes new ones along the way. Enjoy her parents as they reignite their marriage showing that 40 years of marriage is something to celebrate.
I loved reading this and was desperate to know how things planned out. Memories have a way of changing for the better is it better to look back and reminisce or move forward making new memories to enjoy?

Even though this was highly predictable, `i do love a Lindsey Kelk book.

Her characters always have such interesting lives, friends that are just so fiercely loyal, family who are quite often questionable and lots of laughs.

In Case You Missed It was no different at all and very entertaining.

Plot wise it was fairly predictable but not in a bad way and was done as well as any of the other major authors in this genre. A good sense of humour and pacy storyline - i recommend!
