Ros returns to London from her prestigious job in the US producing a radio show. Unfortunately she doesn't return in triumph and is forced to sleep in her parents' shed because they have converted her bedroom into a yoga studio for her mother.

Ros sends a group email to her entire address book to let them know she is back in the UK and would love to get in touch. And who contacts her? None other than Patrick, the intellectual travel journalist who broke her heart. Is this a chance for Ros to turn back time and get back together with the one that got away, even though her three best friends can't stand him?

We've all been there, stuck in a dead-end job, single and broke when all our friends have miraculously found a high-flying career, bought a house, found a life-partner, settled down and moved on. Things are especially bad for Ros because they all moved on without her while she was in the US. Now her friends have a new hang-out swanky bar instead of the old boozer they used to frequent and an annoying new friend, John, owner of said swanky bar. And to add insult to injury her parents are trying to rekindle the romance (sushi will never look the same) which is something no 30-something woman ever wants to imagine LOL.

I think Lindsey Kelk is underrated, especially by me, I never recognise her name but I loved the previous book of hers that I read We Were On a Break and this equally as charming and funny in that very British way.

Lindsey Kelk has done it again! Engaging characters, lovable story - I could read and stay in her world forever

Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins and Lindsey Kelk for the opportunity to read such an amazing story. This is a story all about, growing up, realising the past isn't always as good as it seemed at the time and moving on to bigger and better things alongside a heap of funny moments that will have you laughing out loud, this has to be Lindsey's best book to date so far.

Ros returns to the UK after 3 years away and is kinda hoping she could pick up where she left off but everyone has moved on with their lives. Ros is instantly relatable if not a bit chaotic and clumsy but being a person who is in their 30's I completely got all the references to the past and I just felt I instantly got her. What if the past is not really what you thought it was?

Another heartwarming read from Lindsey Kelk and just what I needed during this Covid-19 lockdown!!

'Everyone has a Patrick' - What a knob. Never trust a Patrick.

As soon as I saw the name Gwen I thought instantly of Gavin and Stacey, only this Gwen is a little different and doesn't seem to comprehend 'growing old gracefully'. She is loud, proud and reclaiming her lost years whilst her children grew.

I love all the nostalgic references in the novel like care bears and Groovy Chick!!

As with most of Lindsey's books the witty one liners are rolling off the characters and it's hard not to smile and laugh as you read.

This is a book with a lot of strong and independent women but also a few supportive and kind men shining through.

Ros is another classic Lindsey Kelk character - slightly chaotic, messy, can’t quite get things right yet has masses of personal qualities that make her incredibly likeable. On returning to the UK after a few years working in America Ros catches up with her old friend Sumi who when she hears Ros has a new phone and number suggests she sends a group text to all her contacts letting everyone know her new details. This would have been a great idea if her contacts list hadn’t been downloaded from the cloud and included people she hasn’t heard from in years however a stroke of luck has a very old acquaintance message her about a job and then her ex who she has never got over sends her a message.

This is a funny and relevant look at life in your thirties when everyone else seems to have moved on and got sorted in life and whether the past was as rose tinted as ever. There’s fabulous characters including Ros’s embarrassing loved up parents and the young YouTube star and his agent Ros has the pleasure(?) of working with as well as her eclectic collection of friends. This is a highly enjoyable standalone book with plenty of humour and a very modern storyline.

Review:
In Case You Missed it called out to me in an email sent from Netgalley, it appeared to be the perfect chick lit that I had been looking for. The reviews looked promising and it appeared that this read would have a perfect balance of humour and emotional moments. Let’s just say, I was not disappointed or let down!
I really wanted a read that would lift my spirits and this book did that and more. From the first chapter I knew that the authors writing style was perfect for me, it was light and down to earth and I found myself smiling from the beginning until the very end.

Ros was a character I could connect well with, she was down to earth, a fellow book lover, clumsy and often hilarious! I absolutely loved her and it tugged on my heart strings when certain characters tried to dull her shine. I adored her parents too, reading about them literally made my day, they are true goals for the future. John was another character I fell in love with too, he just warmed my heart.

In Case You Missed it was motivational in places, it made brilliant references to other books and it was full of laugh out moments, the banter was my kind of funny. The chapters were the perfect length and they moved the story on at a pace that matched the characters. I was able to predict many parts in the story, but honestly, I did not mind this because I wanted these events to happen and it had me smiling when they did.
This is such a heart warming read and highlights how it feels when life moves on and you have to leave the good times in the past ready for new experiences, it shows that this can be a difficult process and that’s fine. Reading this, I was able to zone out from reality and have my heart warmed by a lovely read. This was my first read by this author and I honestly don’t think it will be my last. She is perfect for fellow Paige Toon lovers.

I only discovered Kelk late last year after a netgalley ARC, and found myself buying her entire back catalogue. Naturally, when this came out I leapt at the chance to read it and it shot straight to the top of my pile.

It’s everything you would expect - comedy, great characters and a nice pacey plot.

Kelk is becoming one of my favourite authors. Fantastic.

This has got to be Lindsey Kelks BEST BOOK YET!
Ros has just returned from America and working in Washington for three years. Her friends are still there but have moved on with their lives, she’s jostled by her parents into living in a pimped up shed at the bottom of their garden and sending out a group text with her new number opens a whole can of worms.
I was gripped from the very beginning, desperate to know what Ros was not saying about her time in Washington, what’s the deal with the new dude John that has infiltrated the friendship group since she’d been away and can you ever go back to how you left things.
It’s no secret I’m a massive fan of Lindsey and love her writing style but this book has just blown me away, the story, the characters, the undercurrents the twisty bits. This will be a book that I pick up and re-read over and over again.

In Case You Missed It by Lindsey Kelk a five-star read you can’t miss. This is like the reading equivalent of coming in on a rainy night soaked to the skin and finding out someone has run you a hot bubble bath, has the wine chilled ready and the biggest fluffiest towels ready and left to warm. It just gives you that awwwww warm heartedness that blows you away. Getting to know Ros was like discovering a new best friend, which as the story will tell you can be difficult when you are an adult. If you are looking for your next favourite read then look no further, pick this up and enjoy as you will not be disappointed, it is one of those stories that I will re-read over and over and I am sure I will always get the warm fuzzies for. I can only hope we get to hear more from the other characters in this story as the are all amazingly well written and have qualities that I need to hear more from.

I loved this book. It was warm funny and so relatable! I am the same age as Ros and could really relate to where she was in her life & the relationships she had with her friends. I loved her parents to especially her mum. I was feeling really down during week 9 of lockdown & this book really cheered me up. It's a fun happy and excellent read.

A pleasant read and a nice story. I just could not warm to the main character Ros. I loved the re wedding and how parents do enjoy their empty nests. I am glad Ros ended up with the right man in the end

I am a big big fan of Lindsey's and to see I had been given the opportunity to read and review this ARC I was so excited, thank you Harper Collins and Net Galley.

I was so upset when the I heart series finished last year and thought what will Lindsey write about next, you needn't be disappointed as this is just as brilliant as all her other work.

Meet Ros, she left london for Washington 3 years ago to be producer at radio station and left behind boyfriend Patrick. Ros is now home and her parent's have changed her bedroom into a office, so they have given her space and privacy AKA the garden shed.

Patrick is now back in her life and they think they can pick up where they left off, none of her friends liked him and neither did I. Her parent's are bonkers mad and her friends are just wondeful. New to the gang is John.

Can you get back with an Ex?

This book had me laughing all the way though, the shed, the sushi, the dark disco (we all want to go to one of them right?) the tiger had me cracking up. I didn't want this book to end.

I could write about this all day but I won't spoil it, Just pick it up and read it, you will be left wanting more.

Let's hope this is just the beginning of Ros and her mad life.

I would give this 10 stars if I could.

I am a big Lindsey Kelk fan but this book exceeded all my expectations. I absolutely loved Ros and her three best friends. Friendship is a big theme in this book and I loved how they were always there for each other. Thankfully Ros saw through her ex, the very unlikeable Patrick and a knight in shining armour was in the background ready to sweep her off her feet. There is a very funny scene involving sushi but I won't spoil the surprise. Lindsey at her best.

Another great read from Lindsey Kelk , predictable.......Yes, but it didn't make it any less enjoyable. A romantic comedy that is a definite must for Lindsey Kelk fans, her style of writing flows easily with lots of laughs and 90s pop culture references #fuzzypeach. The main character, Ros, is very likable along with her group of close friends, and is someone you want everything to go well for. This has been my favourite stand alone read of hers and stayed up all night to finish it. Perfect for lockdown.

Lindsey Kelk never treads any particularly new ground, but her books are always reliably fun.
‘In Case You Missed It’ is about a typical Kelk heroine- newly dumped and having a work crisis, Ros is surrounded by a quirky family and ever supportive friends. When she sends a mass text announcing her arrival back in the UK (having left her radio job in Washington DC under mysterious circumstances) Ros is shocked to hear back from her ex Patrick, who she was with before she left. But can they pick up where they were before? Or will ya I turn bartender John make her reconsider her new/old relationship?
Ros is a likeable main character, and Kelk is always adept at creating amusing situations. I particularly liked Ros’s parents, who have suddenly rediscovered their passion for one another and express it in a variety of embarrassing ways, including a naked sushi session.
Ros’s friends felt disappointingly underdeveloped, and like cardboard cutouts of ‘friend’ characters from recent chick lit novels, although there was some diversity shown, which was a nice change.
Overall, this was a fun ‘read in one afternoon’ affair and I’m sure I will happily read whatever Kelk writes next!

Firstly, let me say when I received this ARC from NetGalley, I am not ashamed to admit I did a happy dance. I am a huge fan of all things Lindsey Kelk and I have been waiting for In Case You Missed It since I finished I Heart Hawaii.
For me, Lindsey Kelk books are like a warm hug. I have been hooked since I Heart New York. I know her style of writing and humour and I can’t help but race through her books, however bereft I feel when I’ve finished them!

In Case You Missed It is a story about Ros who returns from working in America, back to her parents house (shed) and finds herself back in touch with her ex Patrick.
I can say with confidence that EVERY woman has a Patrick, and that’s why Lindsey’s books are so relatable. “A Patrick” is a man that broke your heart, you have dreamy memories about and thoughts that if you could go back maybe, just maybe, it would be all different. Ros gets to find out if reconnecting with Patrick is her second chance at that one big love.

This story isn’t just about romance though. It’s about reconnecting with childhood friends, growing up but giving a nod to the past (I specifically loved the Sweet Valley High and Judy Bloom Forever references) and moving on with life - you can probably tell by how this review is going that I loved it! I laughed until I cried and I’m sad that I have finished it.

If you have never read a Lindsey Kelk book you absolutely should. You will not be disappointed.

You know it is a good day when the new Lindsey Kelk novel lands on your kindle, it is a day that you abandon all plans because you know you are in for a treat! In Case You Missed It is te title of her latest release and this book came at the perfect time as I was in need of something light hearted and witty to read and that is something we can always rely on in a Lindsey Kelk storyline.
Ros has been living it up in America for the past three years but she has now returned home to England with no job awaiting her, no man coming back on her arm and having to move back to her parents. Things are not looking bright but with the support of her life long friends back around her surely, she can turn things around and get her career and love life back on track.
Lindsey Kelk isn’t shy in creating flawed characters and I think this is what makes me love her characters and why they stick with me long after I have finished the books because they are so relatable by the time you are half way through her novels you feel as though you are one of the group reading about friends!
Lindsey Kelk always excels in creating such life like and relatable characters who hold the most natural and believable friendships amongst her characters. In this storyline there is a large friendship group with Ros, Sumi, Lucy and Adrian each of the characters are so well developed and have individual personality traits so they are easy to differentiate early on and they each bring their own little something to the group.
The storyline was predictable but this didn’t stop my enjoyment of the novel because although I could tell what would be the outcome in Ros’s love life the witty roller-coaster of a journey that she takes to get there held my attention the whole way through.
The storyline shows that we should never focus on looking back and comparing but looking forward and making the most of life and aim for your dreams rather than settling for the familiar. Know your worth and don’t stop until you achieve what you want and deserve.
This was the perfect pacey, light hearted humour read that I needed for this dull and dreary day it sure did bring a smile to my face and brightness to my day, this is definitely going to be a hit with Lindsey Kelk fans.
