NEW TO ME AUTHOR and I fell in love with the blurb and the sweet cover, I was not ready for this since it is a new author, do I don’t know their writing style very well. So this is how I felt:

The hero Hux is a big, handsome, alpha, sexy and sweet man…he works a dangerous job but is his own boss and knows how to handle himself. The heroine Phoebe is a sweet, sassy, active (don’t want to use the word hyper) beautiful woman that is a investigative journalist, so it can somewhat be dangerous. After two years of being around one another, Hux and Phoebe essentially first made contact if that makes sense. He pulls her out of a dangerous situation and she is livid pissed at him. This is where they start..and I’ll stop here because I want to explain my feelings towards the heroine…the hero seems calm, alpha, love the way he talks to her or in general and is towards the heroine, she on the other hand kind of grew on me the wrong way: She seems very ping-pong hyper at times and I am left with not knowing that I jumped from one rock to another. There were times I just, it felt off…like one where she was pissed at him for something that I don’t know didn’t seem right to be THAT overly-pissed off about since the hero explained to her from the beginning regarding the item and what he did…so that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. But in the end you do understand that she is a girl that lost everything, and it isn’t easy for her to open up to be hurt again. Aside from that I enjoyed their banter, Hux really is the sweetest and swooniest man especially towards our heroine who is a spit-fire and he tames her. There is quiet angst in here, but the sexy scenes definitely do not disappoint. To me, this was a great potential and enough for me to read more by this new author I discovered, for sure!!

This one was a miss for me. The writing style was hard for me to get into. The book was choppy. I just didn't care for the story either.

This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it It is well written kept me n the edge of my seat the characters had great depth and I was glued to until I turned that last page And what more could I ever want from a book. If I could give more than five stars I would

Huxley Carson is ex FBI and now runs his own PI firm with his own team and he is working to bring down a Cartel This cartel has also caught the eye of investigative reporter Phoebe Danvers in fact she has also caught Huxley eye and he is determined to keep her safe He warns her off the story and even hints he will give her an exclusive later but she has no intention of walking away. As they spend more time together it only increases Huxley's feelings for her and she is beginning to think that he may be the one for her but have they left it to late for their relationship and will the danger destroy them. You will have to read to see if they will survive and get the HEA they deserve

Huxley & Phoebe's story is FANTASTIC!!! We get a really great alpha, a strong heroine, fun friends & family... Is this going to be a series? This needs to be a series, because Hux's sister, Phoebe's best friend, and all Hux's guys need stories. NEED! <3

I loved the pacing, the adventure, the LOVE in this story. While Phoebe tries to put up a fight, she & Huxley are together for the whole story & the drama surrounding them is well written, which equals my favorite kind of story!! Two thumbs WAY up! This joins When She Remembers on my favorites & re-read shelf! : )

This was a quick and easy read, but nothing particularly special. The actual plot of the book wasn't written, it was summarised in a few short paragraphs of "tell, not show" so nothing really happened on the page.

The relationship between the two main characters felt forced - they'd never properly met before, but all of a sudden had real, deep feelings? I know that often this kind of book has an element of insta-love, but here it felt like there was no reason at all for the characters to like each other. Neither had any real personality and their interactions felt mechanical.

Overall, I was not a fan!

I have posted this review to Goodreads and will also post to Amazon after its release.

I loved this book so much! Surrendering to Him is my first book by this author. When I found out that she is affiliated with Boom Factory Publishing I knew I was going to be in for a treat.

I was hooked from the very first page. You see first hand how absolutely alpha Huxley Carson is and it gets better and better. Huxley Carson is a former police officer, former FBI agent and now a bada$$ private investigator. He has had his eye on the local investigative reporter, Phoebe Danvers for the past few years. Unknowingly Phoebe finds herself in some trouble, Hux finally finds his way in and makes it his mission to keep her safe. The banter between these two was fantastic and the chemistry is off the charts. But Phoebe fights the attraction, she was determined to keep her heart safe. She had lost too much in her life and not willing to go through that again, but Hux is just as determined to finally have her for his own.

I am definitely a new fan and looking forward to reading more from this author!

Thank you Netgalley and Boom Factory Publishing, LLC for giving me the opportunity to read this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Honestly I couldn’t really get into the story. I liked the character profiles, but found their dynamic a bit awkward and unrealistic. The story line was interesting, but unfortunately I couldn’t relate or connect with the main characters of the book.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect. I really liked the story line and thought that it was written awesomely.

Phoebe is a writer for the paper, well she's an investigative journalist and while good at what she does, she does take a few risks with her safety to make sure that she gets that story. When Hux tells Phoebe to not run the story as her life is in very serious danger he goes to unthinkable measures to firstly convince her and to keep her safe. She has had things quite tough in the past too but she is a strong woman because of it.

Huxley is a very sexy, very hot alpha male who has had feelings for Phoebe for a while and is very protective of her.
Huxley is an ex FBI agent who works now as a PI, a very tough badass PI and works with his own team.Huxley has kind of promised Phoebe that he himself will give her an exclusive about the cartel if she doesn't run the original piece.
Can these two for once put there differences aside for love ? Is Phoebe going to be able to do as she is told for her own safety ?
Should they surrender to their love ?
(NO SPOILERS)

I really liked these characters. Phoebe is a very determined strong willed person and totally knows her own mind. I really love how protective Hux is and you can feel there chemistry, they are so good together. Huxley knows his feelings and I was hoping love would prevail for these two.
I liked this author writing style and I will look out for her work in the future.
I thought the titles at the beginning of each chapters were also very cool.

I always love epilogue as I feel they always add that little something extra to books and I love seeing where everyone is.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

This book is expected to be released 5th March 2020.

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed it. It was different as the publisher is Boom Factory, which is run but Aurora Rose Reynolds who I Love but who typically publishes insta love stories. This is a story about some very bad men, mafia sorta in a small town and the female lead, Phoebe wrote an expose on some of their dealings as she is a reporter. They then put a hit out on her. Huxley, a PI in her small town and they dont really know each other. But he wants to try and save her and so they start to work together to get the bad men to leave her alone and he tries to protect her.

It was a fun story with lots of drama and these two make an awesome team. I especially loved Phoebe's best friend and her brother and hope to see them in future stories.

I enjoyed the main romantic suspense story, but there were some side stories that seemed to set up future sequels including one with Huxley's sister. I don't understand how the heroine could easily figure out the father of the sister when her family was around the father a lot and should have seen the same signs.

This book was my intro to this author & i have to say, i’ll definitely be reading more from her! this story was swooooony & hux was the perfect blend of protector alpha male that i enjoy reading. one thing that threw me was his POV in this book, it was written in third person when Phoebe’s was written in first. Overall though, this was a good read!
