Wow! What a great domestic psychological thriller! This was gripping from page one and didn’t let you go until the very end. So many twists and turns. Lessons on love and trust, denial and acceptance and really who can we trust in our circle. Characters were all beautifully created and woven into the dark reality of life.
Highly recommend! Another top notch book by Shalini Boland. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Oh I have adored this book! Most definitely a five star book. I literally haven't been able to put this one down.
I have absolutely adored the characters in this book, despite continually trying to guess which is the liar.
I have devoured this book in a matter of hours and definitely been kept on the edge of my seat. I have loved all the characters in this one.
This is my first read by this author, I have already added more to my kindle to get stuck into. Any author who makes it impossible to put the book down, has a remarkable talent in my opinion.
I have no doubt this will be a popular book. It really is one that keeps you guessing from the very beginning.
My only advice would be, don't start this book at night. I stayed up far too late to finish this one. I have no regrets, this was well worth the tiredness. A fantastic book by an extremely talented author.

My third time reading one of Shalini Boland's books and just as enjoyable as the other two. The story centres around Fiona, Tia and Kelly, one of whom was assaulted as a student and now someone is out for revenge. It starts slowly but soon changes pace and I was torn between wanting to see what happened and not wanting the book to finish. I would like to thank the publishers and netgalley for letting me have the book to review and the opinions expressed are entirely my own views and are completely unbiased

I love Shalini Boland books so my review might be a tiny bit biased. I found this latest offering a joy to read. I wanted to pick it up, I wanted to read on, I was really involved in the lives of the 3 main female characters, Kelly, Fiona and Tia. The reason I mention this is because I have read books that are simply tedious, ones where I do not care what happens to the characters, and where I have had to force myself to read to the end.
Not so with this book. I could picture the school, the town, the boat house and Salinger's interior design showroom. I could walk beside the women eager to hear the latest in their conversations and I was intrigued by the secret binding them together.
The secret isn't hard to fathom out but neither is it possible to predict what will happen next. How will the complicated developments, threatening to ruin each of the women's lives in different ways, be resolved?
Just how far will someone go in order to exact revenge?
I found the way in which each of the women's personalities led to certain outcomes interesting; the idea of self and how perceptions of ourself can influence our friendships and relationships. And how, when fear and self-doubt creep in, the combination can be explosive!
The ending was perhaps a tad too neat but nevertheless, as someone who prefers happiness over and above gritty and dark realism, this did not bother me too much!
Fans of Shalini Boland and lovers of this genre will greedily lap the book up with pleasure.

What can I say - another great book from Shalini Boland! She’s one of my favorite authors and never disappoints. I’m always so excited every time she publishes a new book! This one is no exception. It has a great story following three friends, who all have their own secrets they are keeping. They come together in an exciting conclusion with a great twist. Definitely recommend!

I am a big fan of this author and have enjoyed each and every single book she has written including her latest, "The Woman Who Lied"!

Three women, all friends since childhood, all with their own lives and secrets, all being targeted with threats and blackmail!

I found this to be a fast paced, enjoyable read that quickly sucked me in. I highly recommend this author and can't wait to see what she comes up with next! Keep them coming Shalini!

A huge thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book! Greatly appreciated!

I really enjoyed this one. The characters felt real and I especially liked Ed, it's refreshing for a psychological thriller to feature a decent, supportive husband.

I did guess where the book was headed and who was behind everything fairly quickly, but there were other little mysteries that I hadn't worked out and I enjoyed seeing how all the women navigated their situations.

One little gripe is that Ryan's age seemed to alternate between eleven and twelve, but overall I found the book to be very well written.

I would recommend this book to others.

I’ve lived everyone of Shalini Boland’s books so was thrilled to be approved for an advance copy of her new novel, The Woman Who Lied.

It follows the lives of Tia, Kelly and Fiona. Three childhood friends who remain living in the same small town. From the first page you are immediately drawn into the plot. First Tia’s daughter asks her why she killed someone and then compromising photos of her arrive at the house. Surely it can’t be to do with what happened in the past. Could it be her so called friends who she thought she could trust? This book takes you on a rollercoaster - the tension builds with each turn of the page. It’s billed as a psychological thriller and it certainly lived up to that. One of the best books I have read this year.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

This was exactly what I have come to expect from Shalini Boland . Fast paced , likeable leads , twists and turns and family secrets . Tia , Kelly and Fiona have been best friends since school , when all three of them are targeted by someone who seems to know their deepest secrets and fears you would think they would band together but the trust is not quite there and resentments simmer just below the surface . This was a great read , as usual finished it in one sitting . I did work out what was happening and why but that really didn't spoil my enjoyment . Yet another 5 star read , looking forward to the next !!

Shalini Boland fires out another top read!

Three women - all with secrets. Yet, friends whose lives mesh a little too much...

Lots of suspense and twisty surprises... An unputdownable story.

What more can I say but - RECOMMEND!

The Woman who Lied by Shalini Boland is a fantastic, suspenseful read that I didn’t want to put down. Three women – Tia, Fiona and Kelly have their lives turned upside down in their small community. It starts with a rumor that Tia is a murderer. Fiona has a tax audit going on that is scaring the life out of her and Kelly tries to help a stranger with horrible consequences.

All of these situations may seem small, but how is that three friends are having their lives ruined in less than a week’s time? Who can be out to get them? Someone believes each of these women has done something terrible. Did they? What did they do? Is this just a misunderstanding or are their lives carefully manicured to appear innocent?

The Woman who Lied is so, so good. I really didn’t want to put the book down and finished it in one day.

Another fantastic book from Shalini Boland. We see a narrative from three women who are friends, each telling the story from their perspective and showing that they are each keeping secrets. Things start to go wrong for them all and it seems that someone is causing trouble for each girl. Between rumours about them, tip offs, threatening messages and more, each woman wonders what is going on and why she is being targeted. They even begin to suspect each other and we are left wondering who is holding so much hatred and if the past is coming back to haunt them. As usual Shalini thrills us with twists, turns and suspense, and a really satisfying ending completes the perfect reading experience. A tense, gripping tale that also explores the importance of friendship, I can't recommend it enough. All of Shalini's books are captivating and addictive and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

This is one of those books, just as soon as you think you have the plot figured out, you are hit from the left field with a twist... wow, this was a thrilling read, and worth each and every minute you read it.

Tia, Fiona, and Kelly all have secrets and someone is out to make those secrets public. Secrets that could end marriages and break up friendships, but who is behind this all? This is a quick read, and the ending is tied together nicely. I have never read a book by Shalini Boland before, but this definitely will not be the last. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader in exchange for my fair and honest review.

The Woman Who Lied is another cracking read from the incomparable Shalini Boland. I know that when I pick up this author's latest offering all else will cease to exist as I scramble to get to the bottom of a well-crafted and gripping mystery, and this latest proved to be no exception. This is another brilliant read from an author who, for me, can do no wrong.

Tia, Kelly and Fiona are three friends who are all dealing with the fallout from a change of circumstances in each of their lives. Tia is stunned when her young daughter, Rosie, tells her tearfully that some of her schoolmates are referring to her mommy as a murderer. Fiona is being audited, and is clearly hiding some secrets of her own. And Kelly, a recent widow with a generous heart, has agreed to harbour a stranger in her home, fearing for the woman's safety as she flees an abusive husband. Three women, all of whom find themselves at the receiving end of anonymous and threatening texts. Someone has decided to upend their well-ordered lives, and it might be someone closer than any of them would ever expect.

I was thrilled to receive an ARC of this novel, and am already anxiously awaiting the next page-turner from the talented Ms Boland.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture.
