This book started well but although it tackled the very serious issues of PTSD, and loss of limbs and how to resettle into 'normal' life after serving, two things began to irritate as I read on.
1. The sheer amount of sex and in depth description. We get it. Men are horny after service but to finish just about every, short, chapter with it was overkill.
2. Religion. I wasn't expecting this, and didn't appreciate being preached at. Religion's cause wars. Read the Bible.
So I was torn in how to grade this book. But have come down to 3 because of irritation.

The Army Ranger Trilogy is a wonderful collection of stories that is definitely best read in its entirety. There is loyalty, commitment to duty, passionate romance and some endearing moments of rekindled faith. The characters portrayals are realistic and well-developed, and the storylines are captivating and easy to follow too. I thoroughly enjoyed this series of books and look forward to reading more from Tracey Cramer-Kelly.

An enthralling tribute to Army Rangers with TWO romances!

First of all, I recommend that this story be read as a whole, in this complete collection. It's long - nearly 500 pages - but it's so well done that every page counts as there is a lot going on here.

The story surrounds brother and sister Cory and Ella, and encompasses Ella's romance with Cory's best friend and fellow Ranger, Chase, and Cory's romance with Ella's doctor, Maddy. Each of these couples has a very long road to their HEA as their lives are complicated by realistic risks, sacrifices, and emotional baggage. Everything in this story has a solid ring of truth, making it an absorbing story that doesn't gloss over the real-life hardships of loving a military man.

It also bears the distinction of being the first book I've ever read - out of literally thousands - that is both a well-detailed, passionate romance and a Christian story of faith. It's a fine balance to show the couples' typically mainstream lives alongside their own personal struggles with faith without casting any judgment either way, but that's exactly what this book accomplishes. I was happily impressed to see the Christian faith rendered in such a multifaceted, authentic manner.

Bring your tissues too, as there are plenty of hard-impact challenges faced by our four main characters. By the time we get to the HEA - and trust me, both couples get a solid happy ending - we've been through the wringer with all of them more than once. The final scene is both joyous and triumphant, both hard earned and well deserved. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I really liked these books. From the first time you meet the characters there is an instant bond between them all and you can feel it. I love a book with strong, determined and distinct characters and this is exactly what I read. Being an Military spouse must be quite hard and I think we feel that through the book. Just enough romance and action to keep you turning the pages to see what’s next. I’ll admit there was a moment or two when I got a little teary at what was happening in the story but I loved that too.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this book, probably one I wouldn’t have sought after without NetGalley
