This is by far my favorite comic/ graphic novel to date! This series is absolutely hilarious! I love how it's written in a way that is suitable for both kids and adults without getting inappropriate. I can't wait to see the issue when all three MC's know each other's secret identities.

Very amusing. Unlike other titles I've read of this type, where a stone-cold killer has to go about domestic activities, the premise stayed fresh by bringing in a child, then a wife, and by varying the missions. The "I'm a killer, oh no, I've caught feelings" approach is funny. Loved the blend of action, adventure, satire, and domesticity.

I'm usually not much a of a comedy reader, so I approached this manga uncertain of whether I would like it or not. That didn't last very long - this book is HILARIOUS and absolutely a fantastic use of anyone's time. I highly recommend it. So far it also seems fairly family-friendly in case you're looking for something a younger sibling or a pre-teen in need of a gift would enjoy. :)

A bit slow to get into but an interesting premise that makes me want to keep reading. I’m looking forward to seeing where the series goes from here.

An ambassador from Westalis was killed in an "accident" by a faction from Ostania. the government of Westalis put their best agent on it - a man known as Twilight. His mission get close to a certain person. To do so, he will need to marry and have a child that he can enroll in the Eden Academy! And he has seven days to pull this off! Of course Twilight set off to do this in the proper fashion! First he gets an apartment, then he finds a child and then a wife when needed. Despite plenty of diversions, and sidetracks, they finally arrive at the admissions interview. Will they pass? Or will this all be a colossal failure? Read Spy X Family and find out!

This entire series is delightful. If you enjoy the “tough guy forced to be a dad” trope, this is for you, as he has to fake an entire family for an undercover espionage mission. His fake wife and child also have their own special abilities, which he is blissfully unaware of as they either purposefully or accidentally save the mission for him.

Not being a usually fan of this genre, I was surprised to admit that it was mostly entertaining even if I'd probably wouldn't pick up another one. I'm going to pass this on to my daughter who loves this genre. And will be sure to recommend to others whose genre fav is anime/manga.

It was definitely not my first choice, as I'm not a huge anime fan, but after reading it for the Mavericks committee, I actually liked it. I think my students have enjoyed having it in the library and it will be an interesting series as it continues.

I've been following along with this title on the ShonenJump app and wanted to see how far along I was in the trades. This series is a blast. Every chapter is a delight and this mixed up family is a favorite. I can't wait to see what happens yet. Anya is the only one who knows anything of what's going on and her little attempts (that tend to mess up stuff) are perfect. A must read!

Loved this so much!

The dynamics between the characters were so hilarious and tender that I was smiling throughout the entire thing. I can not wait tot get my hands on vol 2. I went into this not really knowing much about the story and it was such a fun ride. Slowly getting to know all the characters and see our MC Twilight growing little by little was so awesome. It’s been a while since I have read a manga that cracked me up so much so I couldn’t give it any less than a 5 stars. It’s outrageous and action packed and everything I have been looking for,

I enjoyed this, and I would be interested to continue on with the series. It's hard to determine a rating since it's the first volume.

A spy, an assassin, and a telepath walk into a bar… Cue the punch line people!

We start off by being introduced to Twilight, master spy, who is unparalleled when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions for the betterment of the world. But when he receives the ultimate assignment—to get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head. Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife, Yor Briar, he’s chosen is an assassin and the child, Anya, he’s adopted is a telepath.

‘SPY×FAMILY’ is a manga series I had initially come across on a Tumblr post filled with the series caps and of course I was immediately intrigued by the unique and funny storyline. Centralized around secret-operated missions, fake marriage, smol gifted child with enhanced psychic powers, badass heroine who rivals Twilight in each and every way along with a storyline that has a touch of a little romance dab into the mix—how can anyone not be fascinated by this binge worthy action-packed comedy series that's become a true standout in recent years?!

So pick this up now. You’ll thank me later.

Thanks NetGalley, VIZ Media, and Tatsuya Endo for giving me an ARC of Spy x Family, Vol. 1 in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. Spy x Family is way better than the description for the comic. The graphics are amazing and story unique. This comic is a definite win for VIZ! It's thrilling and yet fun, all at the same time. It felt like the fun that Man from U.N.C.L.E. gave me when that film came out.

This was absolutely amazing! I loved Loid, little Anya and Yor. They may be a strange group, but they make a perfect family. A spy, an assassin and a telepath. What more could you want on top of sweetness. I enjoyed the action and drama. Great read and looking forward to reading volume 2!

I hesitated with this one for a bit because I thought it was going to be super serious and I was wrong. Man, was I wrong and I’m so happy about that. It’s such a great and funny manga and I am sincerely waiting for the next edition. I love all of these different new mangas coming from VIZ.

Thanks so much for allowing me to review!!

This is the cutest manga I have come across! It has such a great premise and the characters are adorable!
I felt a connection to all of the characters and enjoyed seeing their interactions.
The plot is fast-moving, and very entertaining! I loved every minute of the story. My only critique would be that there were some moments where a little more time could have been helpful in getting some depth.
If this gets made into an anime, I will definitely be watching. For now, I’m going to grab myself the next volume!
