Firstly- I loved this book! Its a “keep you guessing” story Indeed. I was left wonder where the story would go and didn’t want it to end. I would recommend this title.

Probably one of the slowest of her books but intriguing nonetheless. Telling the story about a harassed mother who confessed to multiple murders and we witness the interviews. Stick with it it gets good!

This Author is really great. I really loved this book. This tale was highly engrossing and highly recommendable!!

Without giving any spoilers away, I will just say this book is definitely worth a read.
It highlights a lot of different subjects, especially knife crime. I didn’t expect to cry at the end but I did.

Susie Lynes is my FAVORITE author. I'll admit I have a huge fangirl crush on any book she writes because they are twisted, twisty and Awesome. I have read every single one of her books and loved every one of them in a 10 star way. This book included. Can You See Her is so powerful in so many ways. There are some deep rooted issues addressed in this book but done along with classic SE lynes voice and psychological thriller ways. I am not going to give anything away because you need to go into it without anyone elses reviews or opinions.

This book took a while to ramp up, but I kept up because I wanted to see how an interview with a forensic psychiatrist by an alleged murderer could turn into a full page novel. It also took me a while to get used to the vernacular and slang, but once I did it was easy reading. It is very much to her credit that Lynes was able to show the state of mind of Rachel, who due to psychological trauma, believes she is responsible for several recent murders that took place in the vicinity of where she's been. The theme of "not being seen" hits home in so many ways, and you just want Rachel's pain to end. While I thought most of the outcome was predictable, part of the ending will really come as a surprise. In the end, I found the book to be a creative, rewarding read, but a little too depressing for these times we live in.

3.5 rounded up for the ending!

This is my third book from this author and probably my least favorite but still very good. It takes a long while to get going, really halfway before it starts to take off. The writing was very choppy and manic and gave great insight to Rachel’s state of mind. It was so meandering at times it was hard to stay engaged.

The alternating narratives switched seamlessly and slowly layered the story. There were some great twists and the last one was chilling! This author knows how to tell a story and I will look forward to the next!

I was pleasantly surprised how good this book was. We have all felt invisible to others around us. But the question is what would you do with your life? What would happen if while you were feeling invisible you were losing some periods of time that are blacked out in your mind. What in the world is happening? Now she is a suspect in murder.

This book was so bizarrely written that it was intriguing. Rachel is telling her story at times but there other parts of the book are by the forensic psychiatrist who is interviewing Rachel and all the other characters in the book which are so enjoyable to read.

It took a little bit to get into it and understand the flow but once you take the time you will not be disappointed. If I didn’t know better I would think it is a true crime book. Wonderful read!

What a brilliant read. Loved the style of this book. Its read in a narrative statement way and for me it worked really well. Its an easy and engaging story with a few twists and turns but personally I'm glad there wasn't too many as the flow and pace of the story was just right. I really felt invested in the characters and enjoyed the whole journey. Its a book that will stay with me for a while! Well deserving of the 5 stars.

This is the first book that I have read by this author. I would probably read more if I happened upon them in the library.

I was originally drawn to this book by its colourful and intriguing cover and blurb. I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Bookouture. I have yet to read a book published by Bookouture that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).

This novel consists of 58 chapters and an epilogue. The chapters are a mix of short and medium so can easily read 'just one more chapter' (not that I ever manage just one more, usjalyy about 3/4 more).

The narrative takes the form of interviews with a forensic psychologist interspersed with transcriptions of interviews with Rachel's husband Mark, daughter Katie, best friend Lisa and new neighbour Ingrid.

This book is set in England which is always a bonus for me. I'm from Wales but visit England regularly on trips and holidays so have visited quite a few areas. This helps me picture places if they are mentioned in books and I have visited them.

I think the book is very well written and
I like the fact that Rachel 'talks' exactly as I do sometimes and goes off on a tangent. The descriptions were detailed and it was easy to picture myself in the storyline.

The storyline itself was quite unique and put alot of emphasise on how many women do feel like the just become invisible in life, along with other problems women suffer with.

Unfortunately, I found the book just too much of a slow burn to get really caught up in it and it took me twice as long to read it as I would normally take to read a book. That said, the majority of other readers did seem to enjoy it and find it suspenseful, just not myself.

However, I did love the end and was not expecting certain details, some were not much of a shock but the whole reasoning behind everything was definitely unexpected. I don't want to say too much as I don't want to spoil it for future readers.

For me to give an honest review which I always do this book would have to be a 3/5 which is It was OK. Although there were aspects of it that I did enjoy there wasn't enough of them for me to justify a 4 star which is 'I enjoyed'. This won't stop me reading more of her books though as some reviewers have rated this lower than previous books they have read by this author.

I would recommend this book to fans of crime, slow burners, murder, psychological and mystery.

This book began as a very slow read for me. In fact, I put it down several times and almost had to make myself pick it up again. However, the story of Rachel was compelling enough that I wanted to know how her tale ended. Rachel Edwards is a housewife, married to Mark for 27 years and with two college-aged children. Rachel used to turn heads when she walked into a room and now she is feeling invisible. No one notices her, not her husband or her children or even those in the shops. It was interesting that to me Rachel seemed somewhat unstable and went into what was a fugue state in which it was hard to discern what was real and what wasn’t. There were two narrators: Rachel and a forensic psychiatrist names Amanda. I enjoyed the Amanda’s parts better since that is where I got more clues about what was really happening in the story. It was intriguing that Rachel was so drawn to violent crimes and kept a folder of those events, especially knife crimes. With a theme of noticing the unseen people in the world, this was a deeply thoughtful book that almost made me cry at times over the frustration that Rachel was feeling. Fans of psychological thrillers that will make you consider your own actions and feelings will enjoy this book. The revelations made at the end were surprising, and they were definitely worth sticking with the book.

Can You See Her by SE Lynes

I wasn't sure about this book when I started it, even by 30% I wasn't sure where it was going, but then slowly I was drawn into the story more and more, and towards the end I didn't want to put the book away to sleep, and picked it up next day to see how it ended.
There is a dual narrative, Rachel is a middle aged woman who has confessed to multiple murders, and then police interviews of Rachel and the other characters. I grew to enjoy this style of writing the more I read.
I was quite invested in Rachel's character, she is only a few years older than me, and I found I could easily identify with parts of her story, so much so I shed a few tears towards the end.
This book had a different feel to what I typically read, and I enjoyed that difference. I enjoyed this book once I was hooked into the storyline.

Wow this was a bit slow to get into but once you do it’s amazing. Don’t want to give spoilers but it took me by surprise. This is a must read!

Good read. Good story. Well written. I did find it slow to begin with. I wasn't sure how I felt about Rachel. But it did get better and I was surprised near the end. I was sure I knew who it was. I was wrong. 4*.

This book was very thought provoking and actually started of very slow for me. The story is told from the perspective of Rachel. I wanted to slap a couple of characters in the book. It had me guessing a lot of the time and I simply couldn't put it down.
