This was a new take on a self help book to help those struggling with emotional issues, and this is before we experienced periods of lockdown. It's quite simplistic so for those of us who have read other similar books it's not the best but on the other hand it's easy to follow and the sections are short which is always good for a book like this.

Quick read! I liked that the chapters were easy to digest/ come back to. It makes you think and want to look up more on the subject too.

Found this to be a rather quick read, though it would be good to re-read a few times to truly grasp the nuances in the text and the meaning more profoundly. I did find the author went a little rambly at times in some topics (the ones that discussed philosophy and psychology, which are his fortes, got a little scattered for me). Did feel the length did the book a disservice, because while the titles were really good indicators, the chapters then delved in but mainly to skim the surface or to take heed of one specific aspect of the topic - this would've been an even better book had it been longer and more in depth.

This is quite well done. It's probably a good book for people these days because the chapters are short and include suggestions for achieving not everything, but lots of stuff. Not every idea will work or resonate with everyone, but readers are bound to find some helpful tidbits, and it's succinctness it part of it's value. It's nice that the book is not too "heavy" while still providing guidance. I suspect some readers will find it too pithy (not enough meat), so if you're seeking a deep dive into the topics covered, either use this as a jumping off point or get a different book. Recommended.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!
