I loved this book, not quite what I was expecting. I don't know if it is based on truth or not but truth for fictions I'm surprised that it has been allowed. I suppose too many years have passed for it to be libellous. I loved my visit to Alcatraz and I thought this was a great story. No spoiler alerts from me! .Caitlin “Red” Raeburn is an ex cop now private detective. When an elderly gent asks her to look into 8 murders which were committed 50 years ago she is intrigued. and finds out more than she bargained for!

Engrossing. Historical murders at Alcatraz that were covered up as normal deaths. What is true what is a lie? Red is hired to investigate and the race is on. This book was so hard to put down!! The characters were phenomenal and the twists and turns of the plot have you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end!!

Thank you NetGalley and Eddie Owens for this edition and hearing my honest review. Looking forward to reading more with you

This book was probably the first actual good book I have read in a while. I loved the plot and everyone loves solving a murder that happened half a century ago. I loved Red's character, although it was slow at some points that were just unnecessary.

I'm in the minority on this book. I that it was just okay. The story was ok. An ex deputy warden of Alcatraz has an unbelievable story to tell. He wants to get it published but needs help from Red, a PI, to prove some facts. This book involved a wide array of characters from the PI to a LBGT motorcycle game. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

A good story about illegal organ donations from Alcatraz. Well written and funny in places. The plot is interesting and different.

This crime story is about missing men in Alcatraz and Harold who is writing a book about his time at the prison. His publisher wants the information in the manuscript to be verified and Harold hires Miss Caitlin “Red” Raeburn a private investigator to do this. The protagonist gets caught up in the story about unexplained deaths at Alcatraz. As the time progresses it appears that someone wants her to stop her investigation. The characters are varied and well developed..There are a lot of twists and turns throughout the story with the ending unexpected. Red is associated with the biker gang 69, a LGBT motorcycle gang , which adds some humor to the story. Thanks to NetGalley and Eddie Owens for an ARC.
