A Scandal Made in London is written by Lucy King and published by M&B Modern. Billionaire Theo Knox always felt as though he owed Mike Cassidy a debt which he never got to repay as he sadly passed away. Theo, therefore, was shocked when he discovered Mike’s sister Kate Cassidy was an employee who was also trying to set up a sideline as high class to sell her virginity! Kate is over 6ft in height and lacks confidence. Theo is even taller than she is and is an alpha male. They enter a relationship and she becomes pregnant. Can they overcome their secrets and issues and create a future for three?
A somewhat formulaic romance: problem, fake relationship, relation ship, baby and marriage. The height was an added interest as was seeing her blossom and become less self conscious. A quick easy read.

Likeable characters and plenty of emotional depth to the storyline. I will admit, I wasn’t a fan of the initial set up with the characters coming together, but, once the story moved on and the plot got going, I found myself engaged with the characters and wanting them to overcome their issues. I enjoyed the levels of anguish and emotion that appeared within the story as the plot moved towards its conclusion, and the closing chapters are befitting of the characters. Well written and engaging.

I grew up hearing about Mills & Boon books, but this is the first one I have read.

The storyline was interesting, if a little predictable, but it was enjoyable to read. The characters were well written and had a certain amount of depth.

Overall, a good, easy read. Thank you NetGalley for my advanced copy of this book 📚

This is a surprisingly engaging story. Theo and Kate both have secrets, troubled pasts, with the consequent emotional damage. The chemistry between the unlikely couple is intense and the sexy romance, hot and passionate.

Theo is not the misogynist you may suspect, he is tough to survive, and his big heart reveals itself, where Kate and her sister are concerned. Kate is courageous. Naive in some respects, her tragic past has forced her to be independent and resourceful. The internal conflicts often seem insurmountable. The ending is passionate and thankfully happy.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.

I will admit that I struggled with parts of this book but by the end I did enjoy it
Kate is very tall and incredibly self conscious about her height and this insecurity is a big part of who she is as a character. The love she shows for her disabled sister comes across very strongly and both of these combined makes her more human.
Theo has learnt not to show what he is thinking on the outside and he has adopted a mask where the world think he is cold and calculating but where he actually has emotions and his own insecurities inside
They both had their own motivations and it took time to accept them and understand why they did what they did and it took me quite some time to actually like them but when I did I found myself routing for them
There are however some sex scenes throughout so please note that it may be something to skip through like I did as I was on the train when I got to them!
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a story where the characters go through a lot of self discovery and development

A debt owed, a debt paid to help with a sinking financial situation.

A little blackmail to act as payback. With a whole new set of personal circumstances. Plus baby makes 3.

Past hurts and feelings are shared and true love grows. With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story.

A Scandal made in London by Lucy King

This was so good! Theo and Kate made for such a fabulous couple - interesting, engaging and funny. The dialogue was so good and I loved both characters. The story of 6’ tall virginal Kate who had missed out on relationships, and closed off Theo who came together through their phenomenal chemistry and then worked their way through unplanned pregnancy to a loving happy ever after was just so very enjoyable and satisfying. This is a new writer to me but I will be looking out for more from here. Fresh, vital and totally entertaining. 5 star read for me.

Received an ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
