What a clever plot and although the author states in her notes at the end that witness protection is not easy to research the way she writes about it seems very real.
The blurb on the book tells you as much as you can know without it being a complete spoiler so I’m not adding much other than to say it would make a good tv series.

What a brilliant read this was , I have read and enjoyed all of Gillian's books and this certainly doesn't disappoint .
Zara witnesses a terrible crime on her way home , the murder of a homeless man . To keep her safe her and her Mum must enter the witness protection program , as they are a blended family Zara's step dad decides not to go as he has a daughter . They are told they must not break the rules , that there can be no contact , I really felt for Lauren , the feelings of isolation and desperation come across so well . With the people behind the attack out for vengeance and Aidan , Laurens husband doing what he can this turns into a fantastic game of cat and mouse .
Fantastic 5 stars , would love to see this on the big screen !!!
