I absolutely loved this book! Partly because I am from Reading so knew all the places the author mentioned. It was instantly easy to read from the moment I read the first page of prologue I was hooked. I felt instantly at ease with the main character and felt her initial heartache. How far would an Instagram blogger go for followers? A funny and easy read. It's definitely a nice, easy read for a holiday.

Izzy’s biggest dream is to be an Instagram influencer full time! When her work colleague Luke suggests they buddy up to help each other our in the world of instagram. As this partnership develops her irritation towards Luke grows and everyone around her seems to be moving on following a devastating incident that happened two years ago! One evening a chance reunion with Aidan the stranger who helped her out two years ago adds a huge complication in her new Instagram world.

When you first read the blurb you think this is going to be a bit of a superficial chick lit. However there is added depth and actually goes behind the world of Instagram. I really enjoyed the concept and really like Izzy as a character. The story was a really good read, with a lot of funny moments but also some quite heart warming ones. It fits into the summer beach reads and what is needed right now for escapism from the real world. It’s the first book I’ve ready by Anna Bell and I definitely will be reading her other book “It started with a tweet”.

“We just clicked” is a definite five start read.

Enjoyable read. Would recommend to friends and family. I could sympathise with characters (important for any fiction novel!) and looked forward to picking it up and reading the next few chapters! Interesting plot line and a good ending. Will look out for more novels by the author. Thank you.

Thanks for the opportunity to read this one. It just wasn’t for me and I struggled to get into it sadly.

This was such a nice easy read, I've been on a contemporary high and this was just what I needed! I really liked the concept of the book and it had me laughing which is always a plus!

This has made me want to try more of Annas books hands down!

Well I feel like I just clicked with a book.

Fast paced and funny, I found myself completely falling in love with izzy and Aidens story.
Brokenhearted izzy travels home after bad news and meets Aiden who helps her get there.
Some time later she meets him again and they start falling for each other. The only problem is izzy is currently in a fake relationship for Instagram.

I found myself saying noo not now whilst reading this book. So sad to put it down, would love another book on izzy and Aiden.

This was a nice quick read. You know what’s going to happen but a nice read with a few annoying yet addictive characters & a nice happy ending.

This book is literally me!

I found this book fun and a bit eye opening at times.. As a bookstagrammer you want the followers and likes, you want to be recognised and you do everything you can to develop your “Brand” I do not however lie on my feed!

This book had me chuckling, especially the Dirty Dancing part! Izzy Brown has returned home after tragedy struck and she seems to be in a bit of a rut. She’s temping at a company whilst trying to get her instagram off the ground and get to Influencer status! She has some ups and downs especially when you include Luke and their ploy to get followers and brands endorsing them.

I found this book really refreshing, it made me more aware of what I’m posting on my feed and how I come across. The characters were funny, I loved Izzy and her best friend - it really made me laugh when they were trying to take photos for a Halloween costume!

Definitely a must read if you want to laugh and smile throughout the whole book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The message behind this book, coping with grief, is really quite lovely. Despite this, I can't say I enjoyed this book. I didn't feel connected to the characters or the story, and found myself rushing to finish it. I also felt the story was quite disjointed in places.
I wasn't invested in the romantic love/dating aspect of the story, but I did love the parts of the story where she talked about her brother. The platonic family love in this story felt so much more genuine than the romantic love and I wish there had been more of a focus on her relationship with her family and friends.

The blurb on this book sounded fun and it was definitely that. I love reading books that include more of the up to date ways that we are all living our lives - social media etc.

Story was fun and it also had some sweet and tender stuff too.

Thank you NetGalley and HQ for this advanced copy.

This was my first read from Anna Bell and it didn't disappoint. Izzy is an aspiring Instagram influencer, and when she meets Luke - a work colleague with similar dreams - they decide to help each other out. She then bumps into Aiden, who had helped her out a couple of years back on the hardest day of her life, and things get a little complicated.

Overall I really enjoyed the book - Izzy and her friends were completely relatable and Aiden was completely dreamy. I laughed out loud, I cried and it was just such an easy read.

A great modern day rom com that tugged on the heart strings.

Izzy has always dreamed of being a Social Media star/influencer and doesn't think twice about staging her posts and telling little white lies to gain followers and up her engagement.

Whilst grieving her brother she bumps into Luke, who has similar influencer dreams and talks her into pretending to be the perfect instagram couple to gain new followers and brand contracts. During their staged relationship there are ups and downs and when her real life becomes compromised she has to make a decision on what is most important to her.

I think this book is so relevant in today's society and highlights the fact that real life isn't insta-perfect. There is such a high number of influencers and social media stars out there, this book makes you wonder at what price their fame comes.

Touching on love, grief, heartbreak and friendship, this book made me laugh and cry in equal measure. Fast paced and easy to read, a definite 5 stars from me.

Izzy has been dreaming of becoming an Instagram influencer for a long time. She confides in her brother and he encourages her to go for it, to follow her dream. Sadly, it was their last conversation, as Ben then passes away in his sleep from an undiagnosed heart condition. Izzy rushes home, but overwhelmed by grief she panics, and only a random stranger and his kindness bring her safely home on this day.
Fast forward two years and Izzy is still in her boring job, but still trying it with Instagram. The number of her followers is growing, and maybe, just maybe, there can be a proposition that could bring her the dreamed - of status of being an influencer but it's nothing sure. But then, a chance interaction makes her to team up with a fellow instagrammer and a fake relationship start, giving Izzy and Luke the first taste of Instagram stardom.
And then Izzy meets Aiden again - the kind man who has helped her on the day Ben died - and Izzy starts to feel unsure. Can she have it all? Fame and love? Is it possible to lead two lives: the fake one on social media and a real one?

The story introduces us to a great bunch of characters and some of the most hilarious scenes. Our main character, Izzy, pretends to wear Louboutins and creates outfits of the day but really she runs around in her Converses and brings the clothes back to the shop. She is funny and, actually, honest - however strange it sounds, as she was faking almost everything in her life, but she was honest with herself, I think, she realised that she can't go on like this for long, and while I may not understand her decisions I still can understand where she was coming from. She has her flaws, she's not perfect but what I liked is the fact that she realised it and it, in the end, made her feel more realistic and genuine.
Also, as I mostly wanted to shake Izzy and slap Luke, it means that I was invested in the story, so that's really good. At the beginning the fake relationship was funny and light as it was not hurting other people and I'm not going to go deep into lying, secrets and so on, absolutely not. The behind - the - scenes moments of trying to create the most romantic or interesting background for the perfect photo for their Instagram were hilarious, funny and sometimes even embarrassing. But then, when we started to get to know Aidan, who - let's be honest - is absolutely perfect without being too meh, I started to feel so bad about Izzy letting Luke go that far. It was crystal clear what's going to happen, and Izzy knew it to and yet she wasn't able to stop the charade, digging her own grave actually, and it - the fake relationship and above all Luke - started to drive me insane and desperate.

It took me some time to get into the book and to let the character grow on me, and it's because a) I've read a book with very, very similar plot lately and b) I am probably one of the few people in the world who really, truly don't get the whole influencer thing. So there, I've said this, sue me but well, people, just get up and go to work. And this is why I couldn't get Izzy as quickly as I'd like, her dreams of becoming Instagram star were simply alien to me. However, the author has hit the spot on the use of social media and maybe we simply need more such books, light - heartedly showing that sometimes we become so wrapped up in our social media bubble that the "likes" start to be our real life, that we forget to look from above our computer screens and realise that another important life moment has just passed without us realising.

The writing style is lovely and easy to follow, full of lightness and humour and some of the scenes were really hilarious. Anna Bell has for sure way with words and she's a great and funny story - teller.

It is an easy, light - hearted and relaxing read that from the moment the male character enters the scenes, so from the very beginning, screams: you know how I'm going to end and what's going to happen. Yes, I know the idea of women's literature, of rom - coms etc and I know the heroine is not going to end with an alien from Mars but with the super sexy and easygoing character that we know she simply has to end with - and it's OK, no problems here, but I think I'd expected more freshness from Anna Bell, more uniqueness. However, do not get me wrong, pretty please, it was a great and funny story with deeper themes running through it, showing and highlighting the difference between real life and life prepared for the audience, filtered, highlighted, perfect and - let's be honest - fake. I'll take my imperfect life any time. The story also touches upon grief and the author has really well captured all the feelings and emotions here, how hard it is and how much it's connected with bad feelings and guilty conscience. So even though it was not completely my kind of read, I enjoyed it and I'll recommend it to you anytime you're looking for a feel - good, uplifting story.

This was an enjoyable easy read and served as a light-hearted reminder that we shouldn’t believe everything we see on social media.

I wish I could see some of the scenes re-enacted in real life, as they were well formulated and had me laughing to myself. The acerbic take on influencers and their lifestyle was refreshing and enjoyable for the first half of the book. However, as the deception progressed I found it became tedious and I didn’t enjoy the anticipation of seeing how it turned out.

The characters were well formed – I loved and hated some of them in equal measure which is always a good sign. Using social media and Instagram as a coping mechanism for Izzy’s grief was reflective of modern life and provided a touching level to the book.

Despite losing the interest for the fake love for the insta trope; the ending was satisfying, with a nice heartwarming message.
The love story was sweet, and definitely had Netflix love story vibes and in that sense, it was the perfect chick flick escapism.

We Just Clicked was my first read from Anna Bell and I adored it.

Izzy and Luke are work colleagues who want more from life. They want a stratospheric rise to fame on Instagram and believe the way to get there is to pretend to be in a relationship. But what happens when Izzy meets Aidan and develops something worth more than likes on a post?

This is a heart warming emotional rollercoaster that had me gripped from start to finish!

This was a pleasant book to pass a bit of time. Definitely a cautionary tale for the hazards of the reality or lack there of in the virtual world.

This was a fun and thrilling romp of a romance. The writing was good and it was quick and exciting. Izzy was a believable and well-rounded character that Bell was not afraid to show her flaws through the writing. I loved the layers of the romance in this and the development of the relationships over time was done well. I'd definitely pick up more romance books by this author as they are a great read.
