Sadly I couldn't finish this book as I found it too childish, especially for a 30 something female lead. I hate to DNF books but this wasnt for me.

I particularly enjoy an Anna Bell book, this one is no exception. It’s a fun, hilarious laugh out loud read that will lift the darkest of moods. I’m not a massive fan of social media is some aspects so was a bit unsure if I’d like this, i needn’t have worried it’s fabulous

I’m always very much on the fence when it comes to books revolving around social media. I’ve read a few previously and really disliked them but after reading the synopsis for We Just Clicked I had a feeling this would change my mind and it did!

I really liked Izzy, I thought she was funny and incredibly strong. This book deals with the grief she had from losing her brother and trying to work her way up the Instagram ladder in hopes to make him proud. Izzy had her flaws but in the end that made her more realistic and relatable. I also loved the dynamic between Izzy and her best friends!

There were times in this book that drove me slightly insane and left me screaming at Izzy and the other characters. Whilst I love a good fake dating trope there were times when I just wanted Izzy to focus on her real life and not the one she had fabricated with Luke, who I honestly hated.

This book hits the spot with its use of social media. We sometimes become so wrapped up in how many likes we get, how many followers we have and staying interactive with others that we forget to look after ourselves and make sure we are living in the moment. I’m definitely one of those people who spends too much time on Instagram but I recognise when it’s not healthy and take time away to focus on my mental health.

We Just Clicked is a light-hearted, hilarious, banter-filled novel that will leave you wanting more. It is a story about grief, the seduction of fame and living in the moment.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for providing me with a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

We Just Clicked is the story of Izzy, who’s aim in life is to be a major instagram influencer. When Luke, a fellow instagrammer, suggests a fake romance to boost their profile, Izzy agrees, I mean what on earth can go wrong? But when she bumps into Aiden, a guy who helped her on the day her life fell apart two years ago, there is an instant attraction. Will Izzy be able to juggle a fake romance while being in a proper relationship without anyone getting hurt?

I really enjoyed this book. A lighthearted story with a great cast of characters which was an enjoyable entertaining read.

I absolutely adore Anna Bell.
This book has been no different. This is one I have found utterly impossible to put down. I love how Anna Bell develops her characters and develops the romance between them. This has been an absolutely fantastic read and one that definitely should be added to everyone’s TBR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've got so many other Anna Bell novels on my Kindle to read but I just couldn't resist this one first! Her novels are well written, enjoyable and lighthearted. This one is no different. If anything, her books get better every time! I liked the character of Izzy, and I liked the whole story concept as it had some laugh-out-loud moments which is needed right now!

I absolutely loved this - one of the funniest books I've read in ages, perhaps even ever.

The situational and observational humour was spot-on from the colleague who never makes tea to going out for the night but wondering how long you have to stay before it's acceptable to go home and get into your PJs. There's also the awkwardness of a glass-walled ensuite in your swanky hotel or not realising your girlfriend has a flat full of people when you start discussing your sex life over the flat' s intercom.

A great contemporary story highlighting the difference between people's perfectly-filtered life online and their real life - including in Izzy's case a fake boyfriend. But, it wasn't all superficial hashtags though there's also deeper themes of a family moving on after the death of a loved one - which the author managed to blend seamlessly within the light-hearted romantic comedy.

There's a great posse of characters from main character Izzy, whose feeds show Louboutins and candlelight dinners but really wears 80s slogan sweatshirts and eats ready-meals to work colleague Mrs Harris aka the winner of the Great Office Bake Off and also the one who never makes tea because of her dodgy knee. They are all people you'd love to know and be friends with in real life. I even loved fake boyfriend and fellow instagrammer, Luke, secretly hoping there were actually genuine feelings developing on his side.

I couldn't get enough of this, reading it at every opportunity and was gutted when the pages ran out as I just didn't want it to end. In case you hadn't guessed I would totally recommend this hilariously funny, fast-paced romance and can't wait to read more from this author.

I was so excited to see Anna Bell was releasing another book as I love her style of writing. She tackles real life issues but with a twist of comedy and a lovely light hearted feel.

In this story Izzy is trying to escape real life through her Instagram account and I think this is a brilliant reflection of the impact of social media and how everything is filtered to perfection. I love the characters and themes created in this book and kept picking it up every chance I had to read a few more pages.

A book that was a pure joy to read that kept me entertained from the offset and made me laugh and cringe throughout. Another brilliant read from an author I love that is the perfect balance of emotions to leave you smiling as you reach the end
