This series is captivating. The second installment in this series picks up right where you left off in Once Upon a Myth. I feel as conflicted as Eleanor aka Jinx does when it comes to Sully. In this book you get a bit more insight into Sulky and Eleanor. After enduring her first night in Euphoria we find her resolve although wavered is still in place. Her determination to overcome her situation finds me routing for her all the way.

The inner turmoil of Sully is evident but there seems to be more to it than just the spell he finds himself under with his acquisition of Jinx. I am truly enjoying the layers that are being slowly revealed.

This is true Pepper Winters style, leading you down the path all mesmerized by her words and invested in the story. The intricate push and pull and twists and turns that will keep you up all night in a reading frenzy. I cannot wait to see where she takes us in the next installment..

This book... This book was a roller coaster. It messed with my head to the point I wasn’t able to think, to gather my thoughts and write the review. I loved, I hated, I laughed and I wanted to shake someone.

We finally got an open door to Sully’s last. And oh boy. I hate him but I’m pulled to him, and I wanted to hug him as much as I wanted to slap him. I’m so frustrated with him, some of his decisions broke my heart so many times, ooooh the angst.

Eleanor... I love her but I wanted to shake her too. I love how strong and persistent she is even though her situation doesn’t leave much space for her to do much more. She has the spirit, I just need her to fight more during... well. Not saying spoilers.

Just wanted to say I wasn’t expecting Sully’s business. At all. It’s morally wrong and I don’t agree with it but the author had this idea and I find it brilliant. It’s weird but at same time... interesting? I can’t explain. Honestly, I’m still not in me and congratulations to the author for being this creative.

It’s a fast read, it pulls you and fascinates you even though you know it’s wrong. It’s a bit slow, it feels like we are walking in circles but then there’s always a scene that happens to cause an impact. It’s hot, it’s dirty and I’m impatiently waiting for the next book.

(Just a note that Jethero keeps being mentioned and omg I will faint if the holy trinity appears here. I have hopes that we will see Jethero and Q at some point but what about my husband Elder? I need to see him too.)

Pepper Winters doesn't do half measures that's for sure, I am stunned, shaken and stirred, and loving every bit of it number 3 now please. Eleanor/ Jinx is still reeling from the events in Euphoria and now she realises this is her life now, and Sully is her owner. Amazing read. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

I am in complete awe! I don't think I've ever been this speechless after reading a book. This book was outstanding, and has left me with a void that will only be filled by reading the rest of the series. Eleanor and Sully are breathtaking, angst filled, hurricanes of desire that will leave you clutching everything around you to stay upright. I feel like I've been left sold and tormented by Pepper because she writes these books that make you lose yourself completely, mind, body, and soul. You cannot be put back together again until you have it all. If you have not read Once A Myth yet, all I can say is you should read it right now, because this series is explosive and just keeps getting better and better. I'm craving the next book in this series, April can't come soon enough!

TWICE A WISH – the continuation of the Goddess Isles series.

And I am speechless. Utterly blown away by the brilliant Pepper Winters. Again. She does it every. Single. Time. Her writing style rivals poetry, her genius and vivid world-building is unparalleled.

I felt everything the characters were feeling, saw everything they were seeing – including the sand below their feet. It’s vivid and colorful. It feels real, like you’re part of their world – and not ours which slowly begins to look like a dystopian novel itself … Honestly, reading a Pepper Winters book and immersing yourself in her world is exactly what I needed during these trying times. It’s balm to my soul.

…which was left fairly rattled with that cliffhanger in book one! In this one our two protagonists continue to struggle – with both one another and themselves for different reasons, cut off from the world on Sullivan’s island. Sullivan who continues to be shrouded in mystery and darkness, whose secrets I can’t wait to be unraveled. And Eleanor, his goddess, who continues to fight to break down and submit…

God, this book was a scorcher! The chemistry between Eleanor and Sully is absolutely insane – I get goosebumps merely thinking about it. And I am not even necessarily talking about the sex scenes here either. Ms. Winters especially majorly talented when it comes to writing a kissing scene. I remember there one being in the Master of Trickery duet that rocked my socks off already, but this one … bloody hell! I cannot even find words. I tell you that much: It’s better than so many sex scenes I’ve read!

There’s one strong and dark, possibly even slightly unhealthy bond building between those two broken and lost souls for sure and I cannot wait to find out where their journey will take them, to get to know everything there is to know about them, but especially about the enigma that is Sullivan. God, I have such a thing for Ms. Winters’ kind of heroes…!!

A must read for everyone who loves the dark side of romance!
Book three cannot be here soon enough!!

The second installment has things heating up. And holy hotness, Euphoria is something on another level. I didn't know what to expect exactly, but it wasn't anything close to what it was. Where does Pepper get these kinds of ideas? The writing made me feel like I was transported inside and experience Euphoria along with Eleanor. The scenes were a tiny bit lengthy, but that's because I wanted to get back to what was happening outside of Euphoria.

Sully and Eleanor struggle with their feelings. They fight their undeniable connection. She's unraveling him. Something Sully doesn't want.

A different side of Sully was shown and learn what made him the way he is. I understand completely why he's untrusting and callous to people, and I can say that I really like Sully. Probably even close to loving him.

Eleanor has a fire in her eye refuses to die, no matter how hard Sully tries to diminish it. This is one of the things I love about her. She was a goddess at the end of this book.

I'm invested in seeing Sully's and Eleanor's relationship unfold. There's one thing that made me wonder if it was him or not. I'm hoping that it was Sully. I can't wait for more, especially with that cliffhanger.

4.5 Stars

Possessed by Pepper? WHEN AM I NOT?!

This book was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Pepper Winters is a writing genius. So far I have not read or listened to a book/audio I didnt fall madly in love with. How can an author make me go gaga over a heroine having sex with other men?! I LOVE IT ALL!!!!! And that ending!!!!! OMG I AM DYING. SO SO GOOD!!!!!!! 5 hundred stars. I am still on the edge of my seat.

When Sullivan Sinclair kisses Eleanor Grace it is not just a kiss. Sully is ravenous as he devours Eleanor in a kiss neither one will ever forget. And Its The Hottest Thing I've Ever Read!!! OMG the Queen of Dark continues to sprinkle her magic and mayhem as she draws us deeper into the world of the Goddess Isles. Sully becomes less of the evil God as he unwittingly allows parts of himself, he thought he had successfully hidden, to be revealed to Eleanor. And in return, Eleanor rises like a Phoenix powerful as she takes ownership of what she has been forced into and needs to believe she will survive. But both Sully & Eleanor cannot refute the insane attraction and chemistry they feel for each other. When they are together, their touch is electrifying, his whispers and lips to her ear are intoxicating and the begging of their bodies to unite is fire.

We are given clues to the mystery of Sully's past and why he is so passionate about certain things today. In the mystical place of Euphoria, not all seems as it appears. The cliffy has us right at the edge begging for more from the next book, Third a Kiss. Twice a Wish is a definite easy 1 click!!!

Twice a Wish (Goddess Isles, #2) by Pepper Winters is so crazy hot that it should come with a warning label. If you read the Once a Wish (Goddess Isles, #1), there is no way you are going to miss the second installment in the series. Trust me when I say you are going to wish that this series never ends. Pepper Winters is back (not that she ever really left), but hot dayummm. I’ve been Winterized. Read this series in order. Twice a Wish will release on 3/24

This story will pull you into a whirlpool of pleasure and carnality! With an irresistible plot, sex scenes to die for and and an erotic level that will have you overheating in the span of a moment, Twice a Wish is guaranteed to hit your libido with a fervor unlike any other. I honestly didn’t think that Q Mercer could be replaced, but step aside for Sullivan Sinclair….. he will bring your sexual appetite to its knees!

Eleanor attempts to escape her picturesque prison, and it’s in this effort that she realizes just the type of man Sully is, and his ability to destroy her. His predatory, animalistic qualities are not the only traits that make up this man, somewhere in that godlike body is a heart that beats, specifically for the vulnerable species. The audacity that Sully exhibits and what he does next to expel Eleanor from his proximity and thoughts has you questioning if he has a heart at all.

So since I finished the first book I have been impatiently (lol) waiting for this book!!! And now I'm waiting for the next one!!! I absolutely love how Pepper is taking this story and cannot wait to see where else she goes. Sully and Eleanor just keep pulling me in. And getting to know them better is just awesome.  Although sometimes I want to smack both of them I know that I can't.  This series will probably be one of my absolute favorite dark reads of ever. You need to one-click these 2 books asap!!! I highly recommend it!!!

Wow. Holy hot damn wow.
Pepper, you are a goddess.
In Twice a Wish, book 2 in the Goddess Isle series, you dive head first into Euphoria. Let me tell you, Euphoria is everything.
I enjoyed learning a little history about Sully and the islands. Both Jinx and Sully's waging war of emotions, self control, guilt and pain is heart wrenching... Heart wrenchingly glorious, and I cannot wait for book 3!!!

Round Two. It’s Only The Beginning.
*arc generously provided by the promo team in exchange for an honest review*

Eleanor, I pray for you, baby girl.

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Eleanor Grace has been sold to Sullivan Sinclair. In the follow-up to Once A Myth, he starts to feel the changes that Eleanor has induced upon him. Something’s wrong. He realizes that Eleanor might be the one who brings him to his knees.

I was enchanted by the Goddess Isles series in book one already. Book two does everything a follow-up is supposed to do and then some. That ending had me twisting and shouting. The next book can’t come out soon enough! I read this in one go; this was another page-turner for me. In comparison to other dark reads, this one is very easy to read. The world-building is great and the opportunities are endless. I can’t wait to see where Pepper Winters takes this universe in the following books.
Once again, our heroine is packing. She didn’t come to play. She came to fight. I loved Eleanor’s tenacity and her will to fight and not back down. Sure, there were tough moments in this story and I’m sure Pepper Winters has worse games for poor Eleanor to play slash endure.
As much as Sully intrigued me in book one, in book two there was something about him that didn’t have me rooting for him at all which is super weird because he went all vegan vendetta on us and normally, that would be all he’d need to get my thumbs up since the vegan anti-hero is something relatively new in the dark romance world (or romance in general; if that’s not the case, I dare you to enlist books with vegan/vegetarian heroes in the comments). The positive thing is that I’ve now gotten used to his name and I don’t think that I hate his name as much anymore. If he wants me on his corner, he’ll have to do much more than be kind to animals. I have a whole rant for his choice of victims, but I’ll spare you. If I see that this doesn’t get any better in the next instalments, I will eventually have to post my rant LOL.
There are animals in this novel that make lots of adorable and charming appearances. They were their own entities, yet they added so much sweetness to this dark and exotic story. I love it whenever they appear and I want them to keep appearing in the next books. PLEASE. LOL.
Third A Kiss is an anticipated read of mine! Hurry up, boo! Twice A Kiss ended on a very twisty and devilish note… GIMME BOOK THREE LOL
I recommend this title to dark romance lovers, vegetarians (even vegans at this point, Sully, hate him all you want, he makes relevant points) and people who love a badass heroine that won’t go down without a fight.

Twice A Wish by Pepper Winters is book 2 in the Goddess Isles series. Pepper has created a world surrounded by myth, fantasy, and illusion. She has twisted our minds around a story so thought-provoking that we can't decipher the difference between illusion and reality, fantasy and actuality, myth and fact.

This story has me more mesmerized with each passing chapter. This is a story that you can't put down. The characters are filled with a desire to be loved, a desire to trust what is before them, a desire to make sense out of the beautiful illusion of euphoria. Everything that happens in euphoria has my senses on overdrive. Author Pepper Winters is definitely playing without minds, making us want and hope for one thing but teasing us with what is actually happening. She is a master at this game.

The Goddess Isles series is like none other I have ever read. The audio version has me enveloped in this world with the sultry and smooth voice of Scott Rider who portrays Sully to a T. The emotion that is ripped from Sully meets your ears and sends your heart on a rampage, sends your pulse skyrocketing.

At this point in the story, Pepper has me hooked, has me hoping that I see through the illusion, see the truth in the beautiful paradise, see a future for Eleanor and Sully, together. Her words say one thing yet hint and tease at something more. Every chapter leaves me wondering what was real; what was the illusion.

Sully has so many secrets, so many demons that haunt him. Try as he might to protect Eleanor and keep her safe, he is fighting a losing battle. Her strength, her wisdom, her compassion and empathy, are all weapons she uses to get inside his mind. Does she have any idea what she is in for? Can she break through the hardened heart that has taken over Sully? Does she really want to? Does she really crave his love, desire him above all others, or is it also an illusion?

Twice a Wish has left me on another precipice just waiting to tip over the edge. Eleanor has done the unthinkable! Will using Sully's own inventions against him ruin her, ruin him? Using his denied desire against him in a last-ditch attempt to make him see what is right before his eyes. Is she strong enough to see Sully through the torment? Will her love be strong enough to help him weather the storm? What will happen next? We will have to wait and see in Third A Kiss.

Twice A Wish is the second book in the Godess Isles series. Pepper Winters is no contest one of the absolute best dark romance suspense authors in the genre so I had high hopes and they weren't disappointed!

In Once A Myth, we're introduced to Eleanor and Sully. Sully buys Eleanor from human traffickers and informs her she will work as a 'Godess' on his island for the next four years. By Godess, he means prostitute. They have a great chemistry and the book ends with a wicked cliffhanger. In the second book, we learn a whole lot more about Sully, this makes him much more human and likable. He is no prince, but it seems he is not a complete monster either. The couple grows closer throughout the story, but at the end of the story they're at odds again. Another cliffhanger that makes me hungry for the next book!
