Oh my goodness! Twice a Wish picks up where Once a Myth left off, and it takes off running! This one is much more fast paced than the previous one! It's fast paced, sexy, angsty.... there's a slow burn going on between Sully and Jinx. And I just have to say, I love Skittles! Lol! And the ending of this one, OMG! I cannot wait for Third a Kiss!

Ok I liked this one as the pace/story progression was better than the first book Once a Myth. And that ending sure makes me want the third book asap. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Wow! What. A. Read!

The cliffhanger from Once a Wish had left me wanting more from Eleanor and Sullivan, and damn! I was given more than I could handle.

Twice a Myth, we see more of Eleanor fighting back for her freedom, and we see Sullivan so desperately trying not to unleash his darker side. I loved seeing Sullivan more vulnerable and see more into why he does what he does.

I loved the chemistry between the two. It was fire, it was chaos. It was passion. It was explosive! I didn't need heat to keep me warm. I had those two to do that for me.

Let me remind you this is a dark romance novel by one of the queens in the genre herself, so there is a creepy and a dark shadowy element to it especially when it comes to Sullivan.

This book completely swallowed me whole. I didn't eat or sleep until I finished this book. It consumed me. It was dark and hot and creepy and weird and steamy and I am just addicted to it all.

And the imagery... Oh, the imagery. Totally contradictory. And paradise, even for your head!

Yet again, what is it with the author those jaw-dropping cliffhangers? Stop with that you! Oh, keep on going. I'm such a sucker for them.

This series is shaking up to be my favourite of these authors. It's creepy, weird, hot, fierce and a chaotic and very unusual paradise... And I'm loving it. LOV.ING. IT!

In true Winters fashion I am left speechless.
I couldn't read fast enough and at times I found myself going back and rereading because I couldn't believe what I just read. Sullivan and Eleanor are unlike any of Winters other characters.

I have no idea how she does it, but Pepper Winters turns words straight into gold. This series is everything. The storyline is so unique. I devoured the first 2 books, and I'm dying, DYING, for more. Sully and Eleonor are my favorite couple. Twice a Wish ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm waiting anxiously to find out where this goes. This book is super sexy. Tons of angst. Great story pacing, and fantastic writing. I'm so happy this story exists. Do yourself a favor and start this series now!

As I go on with this series I feel as if it's going to get harder and harder to review with all of the things that happen. My reviews will get shorter and the less information I can give the better. So please do not mistake my lack of discussion on not enjoying the book!

It was hot. I mean...hot, hot, hot. The entire book itself was hot. And not in a cringey way! The writing was exceptionally well done when it came to Euphoria. I really feared that I wouldn't like that direction that the book was taking but Pepper did me good. She caught my attention and didn't let go of it.

If you had any doubt in the first book if you would enjoy the way these books were going trust me when I say that Pepper Winters will not let you down. I promise.

I'm still trying to get my bearings in order after reading this second installment of the series.

Sully and Eleanor will forever be engraved in me because the pull and push between them is just so addicting. I can't get enough of this series and the god and his goddesses.

Even though I was completely and utterly speechless with the first book and I can tell you that I'm even in a worse state now with this second book. Pepper Winters always has a way with her wording and the topic and the premise of her stories that will leave you completing wanting more and more each and every time.

We get a glimpse of what Sully really is or was in his past in this book and it explains in more detail why he is the way he is. Eleanor somehow has a connection with him that is beyond physical attraction. They share similar likes and dislikes and that scares Sully because he figures that will be his demise and there will be no way out for him when it comes to Eleanor a/k/a Jinx.

The ending tho....really with each book I'm going to die another death with the way these books end!

Pepper Winters has started a new series with so much angst that will leave you completely shattered!

⭐️ 5+ "Serigala" Stars ⭐️
The Goddess Isles Series started so strong with Once A Myth where I was easily immersed into this world of seductive fantasies. Twice A Wish conquered my heart even more and left me utterly speechless! I’m blown away by all the emotion this book delivered. I wanted to know more about Sully, this enigmatic man, and I was served with a heartbreaking story that showed that he’s so much more than meets the eye. With her poetic writing style that is just sublime, Pepper Winters assaulted with all the feels!

This phenomenal read made me cherish its complex protagonists so much more than I already did. Eleanor continues to show her awe-inspiring resilience, but still has conflicting thoughts about Sully. She doesn’t stop fighting her cruel fate even if her heart and body start to battle with her mind more and more! With her fearless attitude and tenacity, she becomes a true goddess! As much as she’s strong and brilliant, she has her moments of vulnerability. They only prove her genuineness and make me admire her.

While I’m fan-girling over Eleanor’s qualities, Sullivan as well is an impressive hero. I loved this intricate man and to finally discover a little about his childhood was bittersweet, but gave me answers about his severe behavior. He’s sweet and caring at times, which contrast a lot with his strong persona he shows everyone. Eleanor is the only one who seems to read him like a book and sees between his cracks which forge an even more potent connection between them.

The chemistry between this couple, which was already off the charts hot, increases again! Every single moments they share is charged with so much lust and ache. They want to resist this temptation, but the pull is just irresistible. The back and forth between Sully and Eleanor left me totally drained, but satisfied and hopeful.

I don’t know what to add about this story that I devoured? Every single facet of Twice A Wish was perfect! Pepper Winters created magic and I can’t get enough of this wanton, tropical universe! With that wicked and titillating ending, the wait for book three will be excruciating! I’m clearly happy that Third A Kiss releases next month, but I’ll be frantic for more! This read is without a doubt a top favorite for me this year!

I'm still speechless from the heartpounding cliffhanger Winters leaves readers with. The push and pull between Eleanor and Jinx continues through this story. Eleanot fights remaining herself or accepting the next four years being Jinx. My heart was literally pulled from my chest learning more about Sully's heartbreaking past and the struggles he lives with daily. This story was an amazing ride through so many emotions, learning so many layers of the characters. You are guaranteed to not be able to put this book down as you walk along with Eleanor and Sully. Euphoria is not all it appears to be...

Reviewing on behalf of Relentless Book Chics Ramblings and Reviews

Another thrilling instalment of this epic series.

I’m a huge fan of this author and her stories are always so creative and addictive. I was hooked on this series when I read book one Once a Myth and couldn’t wait to read this one.

The story begins where the first book ended and we’re thrust into the confusing relationship between Sully and Jinx as it evolves to another level. As Sully’s past comes back to haunt him, he’s left with a difficult choice and has to leave his island but can he really trust the people left behind to take care of his assets?
As the story progresses we delve deeper into Sully’s past and begin to see the truth behind the monster he appears to be on the surface, why does the man who cares so little about humans do everything he can for animals?

As with all the previous series this author has written, it’s difficult to write a review without spoilers but one thing that’s certain is there will be a cliffhanger at the end of each book and you will be left craving the next book as badly as a goddess who’s been given elixir. Reading this book has been a welcome escape from all the craziness going on in the world and I definitely recommend it and the previous book in the series.

If there was any doubt before, be assured that Pepper Winters is a master storyteller. Twice a Wish is the ultimate in continuations with Sully and Eleanor/Jinx and their inescapable attraction becoming even more intense. Picking up where we left off in Once a Myth, Eleanor/Jinx is cautiously aware that Sully is more than meets the eye and she carefully begins her quest to uncover the layers of his soul.

There is heat and sexual tension like only Winters can deliver, paired with the struggle from Eleanor/Jinx to try and escape Sully's supposed paradise. But the ongoing tether between their hearts that neither can deny nor sever may be either their ultimate downfall or savior depending on just how stubborn they remain.

There is plenty of mystery as Eleanor/Jinx learns more about her captor and decidedly pushes him to the brink, desperation he can't even fathom continually written all over Sully's face. The facade he so carefully has crafted is truly on the precipice as the usual jaw-dropping conclusion makes itself known.

In addition, I will say that Winters's love of animals is an extraordinary part of this story as Sully's distaste for humans is only magnified by his adoration of his furry and not so furry friends. With an interesting twist pertaining to Eleanor/Jinx and the scene-stealers in Pika and Skittles.

Twice a Wish is a book that deserves to be relished, each decadent word a gift to readers. Only Pepper Winters can combine cruelty with pleasure in the most exceptional of ways and with that in mind, I happily give this latest creation a huge 5++ stars!

Holy cow!!!! I dont know how pepper does it! This book topped the previous and I have a feeling the rest will too. Sully is now my favorite of hers and Jinx she is just the best leading lady. I never thought a series would top the indebted series in my heart but this series has. I cannot wait to finish it.

Twice a Wish by Pepper Winters encompassed so many intense experiences for me. It was blissfully hedonistic. It was a storm of conflicting and bruising emotions. The writing was pure torture as Pepper Winters assaulted all my senses expertly and with ruthless precision.

Sullivan Sinclair needs control in his life. Over his islands. Over his goddesses. Over his feelings. He runs a pleasure paradise in middle of tropical beauty but he was not prepared for Eleanor Grace. Bought and paid and put to other men's mercy. But a fierce and gorgeous and stubborn woman. Sully is not supposed to feel. But she is breaking him down. Eleanor is not supposed to feel attraction and warmth towards her master. But as time passes, she discover the truly inspiring man behind the monster mask. Before she can explore it, Sully has decided to cut her off his life. But how? Will Eleanor do something awfully stupid to provoke the beast?

Since this is a five book series, the author spends a great amount of time in exploring the darkest desires and most dangerous secrets of the characters. And I am absolutely stunned by the process. I am not sure she has not secretly passed some of Sully's Elixir in the pages. Because I am drunk on the feelings. This story is such a visual masterpiece. I am transported right into the sandy white beaches, blue ocean, green forest and luxurious villas. The push and pull between Sully and Eleanor is driving me insane. I want to hate Sully for the cruel and devastating and depraved things he is forcing Eleanor to do. But the Author is peeling his layers painstakingly and I am beyond fascinated by the man inside. This is a difficult balance to achieve and the author aced it. So I cry and break for the tormented soul of Sully. I am in awe of Eleanor. She is nothing less than a Goddess. She fights for her freedom and respect. She uses her power of beauty and sensuality. She breaks down but gets back her pieces. That ending was completely unexpected and I am still reeling from the shock! The chemistry is extremely erotic in true Pepper Winters style. The emotions are raw and filthy and gritty. The mind games were fantastic.

Pepper Winters took me to the edge of carnal love and heartbreaking hate in Twice A Wish. Her words were weapons against my heart. And I surrendered fully to the onslaught of seductive, dark and terrifying emotions. Not only a top 2020 read. But an all time favorite dark romance series that I cannot recommend enough.

Finally! I can recover from the cliffy from Once A Myth...and embark on the journey that Twice A Wish takes us on. And what a journey it is!

Ms. Winters continues the story of Eleanor (Jinx) and Sully in her own fashion...giving us highs, lows, moments of despair only to follow them with moments of amazed wonder.

Eleanor makes a new friend and learns more of Sully’s well hidden secrets, leaving her confused and intrigued. Sully, consumed by his interest in Eleanor, is torn on what to do with her. This leads us to a surprise ending for this book and waiting in suspense for the next book in the series.

High five!

She was the goddess bought to pawn and rent. He was the man who became fascinated by this rare goddess.

As her mind struggles to own her body Eleanor’s body continues to crave the desire given to her by elixir. She is the exception to Sully’s fantasy.
Transitioning simple sex into a wild unhinged creature her body became prisoner to its carnal wants.

Overall:
Imagine viagra for men and an aphrodisiac of sorts for women when combined creat a creature so full of want, need, and desire that the body rules out power over the mind and heart. Your mind is overruled by the need of your body thriving and thrashing for raw pleasure. That’s what Pepper delivered. This book takes the reader on the second leg of the journey regarding the power of this elixir and the man who owns its power on fantasy island.
I’m so glad Pepper gave us dual points of view. Had I just been left with Eleanor’s thoughts and feelings I would’ve felt betrayed by what was truly happening to her body. To know before Eleanor, that all is just a fantasy that she was forced into helped release some of the dangers associated with this type of situation.
Peppers words play tricks with the readers mind. It’s extremely thought provoking with that hunkering of self realization that the game is not only being played by the characters in the book but with you as the reader. We are a team, both figuring out this illusion. Pepper is the mastermind of trickery. She pours her thoughts into words creating a fantastical word of confusion and debauchery.
Pepper broke the typical rules about sex and substituted her own with raw, honest, sexual kink. She gave her readers a twisted non-traditional love. Underneath the surface was a breakthrough so unexpected.
The answer to that burning question: what or who is the once a Myth gets answered here.

Oh good grief...Pepper you have smashed it more than I thought possible!

Book 2 in the Goddess Isles series and somehow it was better than the first!!!!

I have so much to say about this book and series yet I'm lost for words!!...how?!?

This book had me fully captured from page 1, I physically couldn't put it down, I HAD to know what happened next, I lost my breathe a few times, I held it in others, I was blind with rage and my heart was torn to pieces at one stage! And of course I can't forget how freaking hot and flustered I got! So a word of warning...don't read in public!!!

So yeah, that's it! I'm off now to lie down in a dark room and try and recover and anxiously await book 3 which can't come quick enough!!!

Excellent!!

I voluntarily received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Book two delivers just like book one! Sully is still fighting his attraction to Eleanor. She is seeing more into who he is. Lots of twists and turns in the plot making this a can’t put down book! Lots of descriptive writing makes the reader feel like you are on the Island living this story with them. We are left on a great cliffhanger wondering what is going to happen when all control is lost.

Part of me wanted to speed through this story because I had to know what the story entailed. But then another part of me wanted to slowly savour each word. So I compromised and read sections at a time to enjoy the way the story wraps around me and pulls me into Sully's paradise.

Just like Eleanor, this story has me questioning everything. Was it him? Wasn't it? Does he care? Doesn't he? Reality and fantasy have blurred and I'm not quite sure what to believe. It's like the concept of scotoma: the mind see what it chooses to see. And Sully alludes to this when speaking with Eleanor. But she is still fierce and fiery and I love her tenacity.

Now Sully... who is he really? He is full of contradictions. He hates people but loves animals. He would go to the needs of the Earth for small creatures but uses people for money. I think this is why he is so torn with Eleanor because he changes his behaviour around her. We start to learn more about him and my heart cracked for him. I fell more in love with him and then he does something that makes me want to slap him!

Now the ending... I was not expecting it! I admire Eleanor's moxie but damn girl, not sure if that was a good idea! I am so glad that the books are being released every month. I don't know what I would do if I had to wait months and months! I can't wait to read more of Sully and Eleanor.

This book, this series? It is amazing! Classic Pepper Winters. She knows how to weave a story that sucks you in and toys with all of your emotions. I absolutely loved it!
