Wow- this extract just want enough. I want to know what happens next. How is she meeting her mother? Why is she lying? I love the main character already and can’t wait to read more.

Only read a short sample of this, and already I know I'm going to love it. It has intrigue in only a few pages. The author has managed to create some angst and love for the characters.

From reading this extract, I am really intrigued to see where this story goes. It is clear that there are a lot of people that will play a part in this story and obviously there is the big mystery over her dead mother. I am really really interested to see where this story goes and can't wait for it to come out next year.

I was drawn in by the blurb, but found this short extract didn't draw me in as much as I'd hoped it would.

A story of a woman who has found a way of visiting her mum who had died 30 years previously. Yet this is no ordinary story of time travel and barely crosses into the sci-fi genre as, above all, it is a story of hope and love after a lifetime of loss.

Helen Fisher has beautifully and rather wittily narrated a journey across two generations, bringing with it love, laughter and also despair. From the start to the end, the events, the little twists and heartfelt prose make this an emotional rollercoaster!

Such a clever story, so cleverly written. Would definitely recommend.

To be honest the extract was too brief for me to really get stuck in but it was intriguing enough to make me want to know more.

Would I read the rest of the book? Yes I probably would. Let’s see how the story plays out...

This short extract does what the opening on any captivating book should do and it is sufficiently intriguing to make me want to know more. I have the whole novel to read and this is on my 'pile' of virtual books to indulge in. I feel confident that I won't be disappointed given the success of this extract.

I hadn’t heard much about this so decided to request the extract instead of the full book and after inly a couple of pages I’m hooked, I need to know what happens, how does she see her mum? I need to know!!

Granted this is just the opening sample - but it's brilliant. Totally captivating, believable voice. A genuinely intriguing mystery & I have a feeling the novel will touch on themes of loss, mother-daughter relationships, the demands of a complex family life & the secrets we tell ourselves & our loved ones. I'm also thinking it will be extremely funny too! So excited to find out what happens next.
