I've read Promises to the Fallen by Glyn Haynie. It is a novel about the soldiers who fought in the Vietnam war and is very well written and it feels almost like the author tells a true story. I must thank #Netgalley and #BooksGoSocial for giving me this book for reviewing. I have a special interest in this conflict but can't really tell why. I started out as a young boy reading about history and different wars like most do but I got stuck on this war. It could be that it's a strange war with a peculiar background and strange effects on all involved, even those that wasn't there. I think we can learn a lot from reading about different conflicts in history. This was a great fictional story although I prefer to read true stories, I can really recommend it.

A good read. It took me a while to get into it but I'm glad I stuck with it as it was a really good read. The author knows his stuff and adds authenticity to the story

I struggled with the narration on this one. It didn’t grab my attention like a book of this nature should.
