I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Glass Dolls is a fast paced, twisting and chilling story.
Dove Milson is on the case of a possible copy cat killer of the Glass Doll murderer. But the killings seem targeted towards her family but is this just coincidence or something more sinister.

This book makes you on edge and eager to discover who the killer is and the mystery behind the killings.

This book was very cleverly written and had me reading way into the night.

This is a cracking read. Meet Dove Milson - the detective starting out in the field - a body is found - held inside a glass box for everyone to see and admire. Who on earth is able to murder someone and display her body in this way. How would they be able to get the glass box into position by themselves - and why would they be displayed in this way. This is a horrific way to die and Dove needs to find out who would be killing in this manner - and quickly! Very twisty and a great read - i couldnt get to the ending quick enough.

For a series starter, this book was really good. It was gritty, but not too gritty. The author did a great job of setting up characters and giving glimpses of their backstory, revealing a little more and a little more. The personal connection to the murderer added a layer of suspense to the story. There were snippets interspersed from a nameless narrator - it was sometimes slightly confusing, which added to the suspense and the unknown in the story.
I couldn't put this book down and look forward to the next book in the series. (The book ended with the perfect set up for a series although there is no indication of a series on Goodreads).

A GRIPPING READ. A naked young girl is dead and posed in a glass coffin. That was it I just had to keep on reading. The same M O as an old case but the killer is dead. Copycat, partner or maybe an avid fan??? I read this book in one sitting I had to know the truth. P.enty of twists and turns and some surprises I never saw coming. Loved IT!!!!

*5 Stars*

Copy kindly received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really good read, with very interesting characters. It really made me think about who was behind everything, and the ending surprised me. I enjoyed this one, and recommend it.

I was given a copy of Glass dolls by D E White by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book by this author I have read.
This is a festive story, Dove is investigating the murder of a girl who is killed then placed in a glass coffin. The murder is similar to a series killers from several years ago where Doves niece disappeared never to be found. As Dove begins to investigate her other niece disappears.
I enjoyed this book, it was well written with lots of twists and turns.

Glass Dolls is brilliant, an incredible, gripping read! I wasn’t sure what to expect, having never read any of the authors work before.. I was not disappointed!

I like the pace of this book, plenty going on and it didn’t have lots of characters which can get a bit confusing sometimes. Really really enjoyed it. Plenty of twists and shocks. Now I’m off to hunt down more books by this author!

Detective Dove Milson is called out to a chilling murder scene by the coast. A teenage girl is found murdered, encased in glass. The murder is a replica of a serial killer known as the Glass Doll Murderer who encased his victims in glass to watch them die. He would be the prime suspect but.. he’s already dead.
I was given this book to read as an arc on Netgalley. When I first started reading this book I thought it was very interesting, very gripping and unique. I thought this book was very different to your normal thrillers. However, I soon found that the book became very repetitive and I felt like the author didn’t tell us very much about the characters and their stories. This thriller is a very fast paced and easy read however, I felt it lacked something. I also found that the ending of the story was very rushed and In my opinion the author left lots of questions unanswered. I’d give this book 3⭐️.

This is an,edge of your seat suspense filled thriller. The characters are captivating. The story will pull you in and not let you go til the very end. Dove is a detective trying to find a serial killer since the last serial killer is dead after saying he killed her niece. But there are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain. When her other niece disappears her sister can't believe it's happening again. But there are so many things that happen you will be surprised .A great read.

This is my first book by this author, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's always exciting to discover new authors, those whose works i have never read before. I was checking the author out,and i found that Mr. White has been writing books for quite a while but took a turn in style and genres with this latest book.
This book stand out, it's very nicely put together with good and a lot twist. I love when you think that you know what's going on but in reality you don't have a clue and the ending is jaw's dropping.
Definitely recommended 🙆

Thank you, NetGalley, Joffe Books & D. E. White.

First off, thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a thrilling read. I enjoyed all the twists and turns but I felt I was missing something. I have attempted to find more books by this author for a chance to see if this is one of a series with DC Dove Milson. I can't find anything, so I really felt I missed a lot about the characters and the plot line.
With that being said and that disconnected feeling I still really enjoyed the storyline and especially the characters. I'm a big fan of police procedurals with a female lead and DC Dove Milson is no exception. She's strong, confident, capable, and has a history you can't help but like her even more for.
I will say this, this book is twisted. There were a lot of things going on in the book that you couldn't possibly see being tied together but in the end that's what D.E. White does brilliantly. You can't help but get caught up in all the craziness and before you know it you're almost done! Now that's the way to read a book!!
I look forward to reading more work by D.E. White and hopefully continuing on with Dove Milson and her vibrant family!

Wow. I have read some really good books this year but Glass Dolls stands head and shoulders above them all. I honestly never knew what to expect from page to page. Every time I thought I couldn't be shocked any more along came another twist. As well as a compulsive story this book introduces a whole cast of characters I would love to see again. Hopefully there will be a sequel soon.

The main idea, the starting point of this book is REALLY good, and when I say really it means at least a four-stars-book, BUT, and this is a big "but", the second half of the book is so full of characters and sublines that I lost any interest in the story and/or in the characters. The main protagonist and her family are so important in the building narration but I cannot follow every sigle of them and, at the end, I'm not impressed, because instead of a thriller I found a too much intricate politic/drugs/so-many-things plot and I couldn't follow it. Maybe it's my fault, but I couldn't even finish the book.

Quick, entertaining read with a powerful and interesting beginning. I enjoyed the characters and some of their development points but did think some of their decisions struck me as odd or unnatural. For example contemplating a vacation when the crime at hand is so personal felt very off. I found some of the book hard to follow with events and got confused. I felt upon completion there where questions I was invested in that did not get tied up or answered and some of the plot was too far fetched for my liking - it was an exciting escape though for a quick read.

Glass Dolls is a good start to the Dove Milson series. There are many interesting characters & the story itself is something new, but the delivery was all over the place for me & I found it very difficult to 'get into' the book. I found the book to be confusing & there were times I couldn't place the events so that threw me off a bit. The ending, however, was really good.

When former CHIS handler Det. Dove Milson is called to the scene of a murder, the last thing she expects to see is a girl lying dead in a glass coffin. Shocked & reeling from the similarities the case has to the previous 'Glass Doll murders' Dove struggles to keep her emotions in check while remaining professional. Peter Hayworth, the man accused of being the Glass Dolls murderer was sentenced to prison & spent his last breath gloating over ending the lives of so many girls including Dove's niece Eden whose body was never recovered. Struggling with memories of her own attack & Dove decides to follow the leads while doing her best to stay professional & contribute towards catching the seemingly copy-cat murderer. But when Eden's sister, Dove's other niece Delta goes missing, everyone starts wondering if someone is targetting the Milson family this time around. Time is running out for Delta & Dove must race to catch a killer before it’s too late.

The characters in this book are good. The plot too is good. I did have trouble believing some scenes & some of Dove's responses to certain events don't seem realistic. For example, after Delta goes missing Dove contemplates joining her fiance Quinn on a mini vacation. Since this case was too close to home, I expected a lot more emotion & drama that was simply missing. This felt a bit off to me. I also expected to eased into sub-plot of Dove's past of a CHIS handler. But that part was just introduced in abruptly, & then built on from there with very little history mentioned. I also like my crime thrillers to be descriptive - when a murder scene is described as having a girl lying dead in a glass coffin. I want to know the why's, who's & mostly the how's. The book was not very descriptive & the how was never answered. My interest in this quickly waned but I kept going because I wanted who killed those girls. Despite this, I liked Dove & her dysfunctional family. I'll probably pick up the next in the series just to see what case Dove takes on next.

Thank you, NetGalley, Joffe Books & D. E. White for an arc!

FIRST TIME READER LIFE LONG FAN!
This book was one of the best books I have read so far this year! I am a crime thriller lover it's my favourite genre, but sometimes the storylines can be quite predictable. Even though I had managed to guess one of the plots. Although when that came to light about 2/3rd's of the way through the book i wondered what more could happen in the story, turned out quite alot!
I could honestly go on about how much I loved this book how I found myself genuinely suprised by the ending and also satisfied, but I do not want to spoil the book for you.

Here is a synopsis of the story DC Dove Milson has moved over to major crimes team from her previous unit that handled criminal informants. A world that Dove saw herself get to involved in. Her first case brings back horrors of when her niece Rden was killed by Peter Haywood in what was known as the glass doll murders. So when another body appears four years later, with Haywood dead the question is who the new murderer is and also why are they targeting Doves family

This book is outstanding and has been writing to get the writer fully involved in the story. With writing which is done so well with fantastic descriptions but not too many. Along with there being two different stories Doves told in third person and someone else's told in first person
This book got me shocked from the first page to the epilogue.
Most read for any fans of crime fiction and thrillers. If you are knew to this genre this book will set the tone extremly high but it's worth it. Get ready for twist, turns, sadness, laughter, surprise and much more.
A well deserved 5 stars!

Thank you to Netgallery and the publishers for the chance to read and review this book, this has not influenced my views of the book.

Twists and turns at every corner!
You cannot complain that this book is slow or there is no action!!
The book follows DC Dove Milson as she tries to catch a murderer but it’s not as simple as that as the case intertwines with a case from the past, a very personal case. There’s twists all the way through and some you may predict but others come as a shock.
If you are able to, you could devour this in one sitting, wanting to know what happens to all the characters and how the story will unfold and develop.
This was almost 5* for me, I would just have liked to have seen a little more from some of the characters perspectives, characters who become key to the books every changing direction.
To sum up, I loved it, at the start, based on the synopsis and just the first chapters I thought it had the chance of becoming just another crime story but it surprised me, kept me guessing and kept me hooked right until the last page, although I knew things were being draw to a close I was disappointed when I turned to the last page, I wanted more!! A must read.

When Detective Dove Milsom gets called to a body found encased in glass, it opens old wounds as the Glass Dolls killer tore her family apart by killing her niece but now he can’t be back as he is dead.
With her family already holding on can she work with her team to solve the murders before another girl dies or before her own safety is risked again.
This was a great read and I did keep thinking I had missed a previous book due to the references of Dove’s past but it soon tied in and made sense. Solid start to a series I hope. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
