A compelling, grippy and suspenseful thriller.
It was told in multiple POVs.
A book that is so twisty.

I really wanted to like this book! I saw so many great reviews for it and so I picked up the audiobook and got cracking.
I wasn't a fan of the narrator, she had a voice that didn't allow me to always concentrate on 100% and because of that, I am sure I missed things, well I know I did!

But also, the characters just didn't make sense to me! When we have a dire situation with one of them and they are talking to the police, they didn't mention ANYTHING that had been happening to them that could indicate who was behind everything and I was getting frustrated! (Sorry for the crypticness but some things aren't mentioned in the blurb and I don't want to spoil it - but it is FRUSTRATING!)

I mean the storyline was intriguing as hell, and despite not realising for ages that we were going back in time to see how Max and Maddie got together. I was confused for a while and then things started to fall into place as we have another person added to the mix.

I am not sure how I feel about the characters, and I certainly felt for one more than the other. It wasn't an easy read and I suspected a few things before they came ahead. I have another book that I need to read by Ruby, but this wasn't my favourite by far. That is a shame as I was looking forward to it. This review has been so hard to write too because I haven't been able to talk about it in detail! But please do not get me wrong, I felt for Maddie, it was a sad tale for her and I really didn't want any of this for her, then her lid popped and well..............

Thank you to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This story is about Maddy, who is grieving the loss of her 5 year old daughter and her journey when she is informed that her husband Max, apparently jumped off a bridge.

This wasn't my favorite thriller but over all ,it was enjoyable, if a bit predictable.

Really enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down. The plot was very well written. The story is told from different perspectives. Of different people. Which made it all the more interesting.

Loved Speechley's other books so I decided to request this. Although I was delighted to be sent an Arc of Every Little Secret, I had problems with my e-reader from March onwards so I didn't manage to finish reading it. :( The first few chapters were promising though. I will probably get myself a physical copy.
Thank you Netgalley for the free eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Maddie, Maddie Maddie you broke my heart. Attempting to live with the grief of losing a young daughter when her husband goes missing and the police suspect suicide. How could he, in the middle of this trauma, desert her? Maddie can’t believe it and sets out to discover the truth and, oh dear, it goes from bad to worse. This is a beautifully written gripping thriller that I highly recommend. So much better than the cover let’s on. Five star read for sure.

Can't give away too much. Maddy's life was perfect, until her daughter died. Then her husband goes missing. She is determined to find out what has happened to him but soon realizes maybe she didn't know him at all. A tense, twisty story!

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy.

This was a very entertaining read. Just as soon as the reader think they have the plot figured out, from the left another twist hits you like a truck! Nothing was as it seems, and even until the end their was twists and turns galore. Highly recommended.

Maddy and Max lost their 5 year old daughter Chloe just months ago. They've been trying to keep their life from falling apart for their older daughter Emily and the baby they are expecting. But then Max goes missing, seemingly dead at his own hand, leaving Maddy to pick up the pieces and to find answers to her questions.
Why does he have a key to someone else's house? Who is Max, really?

I found this one a bit of a slow burner, if I'm honest.
We start with the disappearance of Max, and his wife Maddy tries to make some sense of the situation. She soon realises she didn't really know Max and discovers the secrets he's been hiding. Around this point, the story picks up and it leads to a fast paced, gripping story.
I really enjoyed this one.

Having read Ruby's previous book, Some One Elses Baby, and enjoyed that very much - I was excited for Every Little Secret, and certainly wasn't disappointed. Thank you to Hera and the author for the review opportunity.

Ruby has a talent of starting her novels with dramatic scenes that reel you into the characters lives, troubles and this makes you a witness to the family that is falling apart with your very eyes. This story is filled with tension and secrets, that will have you desperate to keep reading to find out what really happened. There were times I was dreading the next chapter because I was engaged with the characters, I wanted them to have happy moments, only to see their world turned upside down.

Very twisty and would certainly recommend to readers who enjoy thrillers by Rona Halsall and KL Slater,

This would have made a cracking tv drama #justsaying
