Veronica Henry has set a handful of novels at the beach huts of Everdene. However, to enjoy this one, you don't need to have read the others.
Robyn was adopted as a baby. She's always known this. On her 18th birthday, her adoptive parents have her a box of things that would help her trace her birth mother, but Robyn didn't want to and didn't even open it.
But aged 30, she feels the need to know her heritage before she embarks on her future. Once the box is open, it cannot be closed and the feelings of several people are going to be hurt in the process.

I like Veronica Henry, frothy and fun fiction and this was as expected - an escapist read perfect for the beach. Thanks for the advance copy.

Wow what can i say...... I loved it. From the moment I started i could not put it down.

Robyn and Jake are loves young dream. They are building a home and getting married. The only thing occupying Robyn's mind is the box her birth mother left her when she gave Robyn up for adoption. Robyn wants to find her roots, she wants to search for her birth mother. Can Robyn have it all? Can Robyn find her Birth Mum? Can Robyn and Jake get married and live happily ever after?

Absolutely brilliant. Easy read but you just cant stop reading.

Well done Veronica Henry.

Robyn was adopted as a baby by Sheila and Mick, and to her, they are her parents. She and Jake are building their own home on a piece of land they’ve bought from Robyns family. When Robyn realises she is pregnant she feels the time is right to try to find her birth mother.
This is a really nice, human story, with love, mystery and a nice depth to it. The characters feel real, and it’s a story you want to keep reading, to find out what happens, even with the really nice ending, I still want to know what happens next. And I now want a beach hut. Lovely summer read.

Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I first discovered Veronica Henry through the Honeycote series - which I loved, I'm a fan of a countryside saga was really pleased to be offered an ARC of this. I enjoyed it, though quite formulaic. but was just what I needed! A really solid bunch of characters who I wanted to have a happy ending!

OMG what a fabulous book.

Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
Such a lovely story, had me laughing and crying, all those twists and turns.

Jake and Robyn share happy news with their loved ones. Then they decide to get married.

Robyn’s friend asks her if she can organise the wedding, which doesn’t go down well with her mom.

Then Robyn decides to look into finding out about her birth mother, but she doesn’t let her family or fiancé know. She only tells her best friend after informing her about what was in the box given to her by her mom(which her birth mother sent with her)who advises her to do it.

Once she starts, she keeps thinking that she should let others know. But she doesn’t.

When she does drop the bombshell, its not the response she was expecting. Then an incident happens, after this, which she fears is bad news.
But all is well, and they celebrate the best day of their lives, knowing things are going to change for them all.

Another fabulous book Veronica. Can’t wait for your next. Highly recommend it.

Having enjoyed the previous Beach Hut books, I was looking forward to this one and it doesn’t disappoint.

Robyn has always known she was adopted and with marriage and a baby on the horizon, the need to find her birth mother is strong. But can she discover what she wants to know without upsetting her wonderful parents who have loved and cared for her for the last 30 years?

A wonderful uplifting story with a great cast of characters which was fantastic and entertaining to read.

Lovely! I have enjoyed all the previous Beach Hut books by Veronica Henry so was really looking forward to the latest one. I feel like I know Everdene quite well from other books in the series but you could easily enjoy this book as a standalone story.

We are introduced to Robyn and her boyfriend Jake and their respective parents and siblings in the idyllic location of seaside Everdene as they find out they are to become parents themselves. We are also taken back in time to discover the story surrounding Robyn's own birth.

This is a lovely gentle book, quite emotional in places, with a feel good vibe. Perfect for a spot of escapism.

This book was exactly what I needed to get me through week 6 of lockdown.
Having read and loved all the previous books in the series I was delighted to be back in Everdene and that amazing scenery. This is definitely my favourite so far and has the WOW factor that made me so emotional all through it. I liked the dual timeline and the fact that there is so much more than a wedding at the beach hut in it. The poignant stories superbly told are incredibly touching and heartwarming. This book oozes positivity and satisfies our need for a happy ending especially in these hard times. Surely a winner here.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Orion Publishing Group and the author for an early copy of the book.

Thank you to Orion for gifting a digital advanced review copy via NetGalley this week - my thoughts are my own.

I discovered Veronica Henry's books when A Family Recipe was published, and I have been reading her books ever since. I've enjoyed all the Beach Hut books so far and was thrilled to return to Everdene. As the UK (and many other countries) are currently on Lockdown, this was also a chance to visit the coast whilst staying safe at home.

I love how Veronica weaves her stories together in this book, introducing great characters, locations and food. This story looks at family relationships, friendships, choosing happiness and preparing for a wedding. After reading, I felt happier and in need of my own beach hut for the back garden.

I hope to see this book on the summer 2020 bestseller lists.

Wow! Veronica Henry has packed so much in this book - adoption, a wedding, family issues, divorce, a pregnancy. It's everything we have come to expect from Ms Henry.

Full of heart, warmth and hope I enjoyed following Robyn on her journey through pregnancy towards the cutest wedding I can imagine. I loved the passages about Emily's past as well. Every character was such a treat to get to know, so well drawn that you feel you must know them personally after reading this.

This book is a breath of fresh Dorset air and I'm very grateful to have had a chance to read this to cheer me up through lockdown. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I took a little while to get into it, but once I was there, it was fab.

Ive always loved Veronica Henry’s books particularly the beach hut ones and this surpassed them all! A captivating, uplifting delight of a book, perfect escapism in this unprecedented time!
Family ties, bonds and secrets are at the forefront of this read as Robyn moss contends with adoption, engagement, house building, wedding preparations and pregnancy! The family dynamics are beautifully and realistically told showing the depth and love that exist through the generations and currently with newer altered family dynamics it makes you feel as if you are there at the farm, on the beach or in the beach hut and part of the family/community a real treat of a book that you don’t want to end!
Thank you net galley for this early read.
