Nicholas Sparks writes such special books and this is no different. The ending was a bit predictable but still I had a tear in my eye. The story line was emotional and the characters were very well written.
I don't think that Nicholas Sparks could write a bad book!
Whenever I see his name I know that I will be sent to another place for a while, he never fails to entertain and to get the emotions going.
Thank you netgalley

A sincere thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing me with an ebook copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is not my usual genre, I’m more into crime/thriller books and even psychological thrillers too so I am extremely pleased and grateful to them for opening up my mind to something totally different.

I have seen many of Sparks books go on to be movies and to be honest I have seen more than I have read. This will definitely change now. I loved the characters in this story; their personal journeys alongside one another’s. It was a very moving book and look forward to this becoming a film sometime too.

I enjoyed this very much. 4 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have read quite a few of Nicholas Sparks' books over the years and remembered enjoying them, which was why I requested a copy on NetGalley.

I expected themes around relationships/break-ups etc. Unfortunately, though, despite trying to stick with it, I could not get past the first 50 pages or so. The main character Trevor just seemed far too shallow. It became increasingly unpleasant to read about his very obvious visual appraisals of the two female characters who appear early on, especially given the clunky added afterthought-nods to their undoubted abilities and talents. I suppose I could have pushed on in the hope of reading about some kind of redemption, but I just didn't want to.

I appreciate the opportunity afforded by the Publisher to read a review copy in return for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. First of all, this book cut off in the middle of the epilogue in the middle of a sentence, so not sure how it ended. Nicholas Sparks was one of my favorite authors when he started. I still feel like he lost his touch when he got divorced. This book is definitely better than the last three-a couple of them were terrible. I'm glad to see this one is mostly back on par with his original style. Not as good as his original ones, but def a good book that held my attention.

3.5/5 actually!
Thanks to NetGalley for providing the ARC.

Present day Trevor is returning to his grandfather's place for a wedding after 5 years. The place holds a lot of memories with his grandfather and his true love. Trevor narrates his life before 5 years and he's waiting to see if his return will make any difference in his life this time?

The book followed the usual Nicholas Sparks recipe of head over heels love mixed with separation. I liked the overall idea of the book but I wanted that intense love to be more convincing.
