An ok second-chance romance that is endearing but predictable.
So, I didn't read the first book in this series, which I assume is about the start of Abby and Jacob's relationship, and that's totally on me.

Although I didn't need the first book to understand the context of Everything We Left Unsaid, I'm wondering if I would be more invested in their relationship if I had. And I'm guessing the answer to that is yes because although this was a fine book, I just wasn't feeling that insane connection between the two.

The book starts with Jacob visiting Abby after a long period away. He misses her so much and is expecting somewhat of an emotional reunion. Instead, she slaps him in the face and runs off with what looks like a mini-Jacob. He's shocked and wants to understand why she would keep a child from him after everything they went through.

Abby and Jacob try to mend past mistakes and trust each other after they realize that someone lied to both of them, trying to keep them apart. There was nothing wrong with the story, but it was easy enough to understand who was behind the false messages and letters. The miscommunication between the mc's was also a bit annoying at times.

Other than that this was a perfectly adequate second-chance romance.

I didn’t realise this was a second part when I requested this, so I was a bit lost having not read the first but that was my fault. I enjoyed this despite my confusion, it was a lovely second chance romance and I’m off to read the first so I can do a reread of this and enjoy it without my self induced confusion. Lovely characters, great romance and well written.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

This is the conclusion to Abby and Jacob’s story. It is a nice second chance romance. It is a little slow moving, but a cute story. I liked it because it was a couple who really loves each other. There is no ridiculous drama and infighting. The story flows well and is easy to read.

Last year I read the first book in the Wild Hearts series, ‘Something That Could Last’. I devoured that book, and loved every single page of it. Those two main characters Abby and Jacob just really touched my heart, and I couldn’t wait to read what happened next. Especially since the first book ended with such a cliffhanger. So when I received the ARC of ‘Everything We Left Unsaid’ I started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Everything We Left Unsaid’ we meet Abby and Jacob two years later than where book one ended. Although Abby and Jacob loved each other very much, life and secrets came between them and they lost touch. Now, two years later Jacob visits Abby again.. and the last thing Jacob expected was what he found. There is a lot of hurt between Abby and Jacob.. but a love as theirs isn’t something that loses strength. Not even after two years.

After waiting for a year on this book, I was both excited and anxious to read how Abby and Jacob’s story would continue. And I didn’t expect to find two years had past since the moment where the previous book ended. At first I almost felt sad when I realized I didn’t know two of my favorite characters as well anymore. But, after reading the first two chapters I realized this made me connect with this next story even more, because I had to get to know these characters again as much as they had to get to know each other.

And I loved it! There’s just something about Ashley Cade’s writing that really pulls me right into the story. And just as with the first book, this book made me feel all kinds of emotions. I loved reconnecting with Abby and Jacob. And I felt heartbroken, confused, happy and in love right along with them. I easily got pulled into this story again and I loved seeing other characters like Abby’s grandmother again too.

The romance in this second book is definitely fun to read about again. You can easily feel the connection between Abby and Jacob. There were some pretty intense and hot moments too. And the story kept me hooked till the very last page. There just something about how different Abby and Jacob’s lives are, that makes me love their story. Opposites definitely attract in their case.

I don’t know if I necessarily loved this book as much as the first book, but it definitely was a great read too. The ending is just as frustrating as was ending of the first book. So bravo Ashley, you left me a frustrated mess again! LOL!! I seriously hope I won’t have to wait another year on book three.. I can’t deal with that!

“He weakened my defenses, making me believe in love and happily ever after. And then he broke me.” ~ Abby

This book pulls on your heartstrings. I kept pulling for Abby and Jacob throughout the whole book. I did have a feeling who tried to keep them apart. Love how the book is written that seems you are watching it in real life.

Make sure you read Something that Could Last before this one to get Abby and Jacob’s back story.

Abby and Jacob had what could be considered a summer fling, but with all of the feelings that made them want more. When Jacob is called for an important internship that he can’t turn down if he wants his career, he is desperate to call Abby but can’t find his phone. When he finally gets back into the country and calls her, she tells him that she never wants to hear from him again and promptly changes her phone number. He’s confused and angry, but moves on with his life. A few years later, he stops by to see Abby and finds a surprise waiting for him. It turns out that someone had his phone before and was textIng as him, ultimately ending their relationship before it could really start. Abby finally listens and realizes that he’s telling the truth, but what are they going to do about the person who used his phone to lie to her?

Loved this book!

Emotions got the best of me! I have to say I love books like these and Ashley Cade sure knows how to grab you by the heartstrings. I honestly want to hate his parents, but how can you. There life has always been sunshine and rose masked by tea parties and elections. But this story helps you understand heartbreak on a whole different level.

Chloe is a dream and kept me in stitches. The relationships in this book are complex and complicated but they work. And the storyline just adds more to it. I honestly didn’t want it to end.

Now let talk about that ending, is that really it. It almost felt like a cliffhanger. We will discuss it and we did! Hello? Can I get an epilogue or something here. I want a future, a HEA! It alludes to something but really.....I wanted more.

Quick, easy read, Book 2 in the series.
Jacob and Abby reunite, and sparks fly whenever they are around each other. They get a great chance to rehash the past and all the mistakes that were made. The mystery as to who tried to destroy their relationship, and their baby, Chloe's, life comes to light after a long search.
I truly love the story and rooted for Jacob and Abby. But I was disappointed in the ending. After all the build up it just sort of ended. I also wanted more insight into Tiff and Ethan, Abbys brother and best friend. The story kept vaguely mentioning the two but never went any further.
Overall a great read filled with love, lies, deceit and some steamy scenes.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Finally the conclusion we’ve been waiting for!!! I needed for Abby and Jacob to straighten out their mess. Fast forward two years and Jacob returns and of course is met with a surprise. Abby on the other hand hates him and he has no idea why. Poor Jacob had no idea how to gain her forgiveness. It was slow but they eventually got there. This book was going really well until secrets were revealed and boy did things hit the roof. I must admit I disliked the ending and I think it’s still missing more from these two. Everything was going well until the epilogue That didn’t feel like one. Other than that Jacob love for Abby was something fierce and he’s an amazing guy and Abby is an amazing heroine too that doesn’t take insults from anyone. She was very strong and I loved it. Jacob showed her that he’s there for her for everything even for her family.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Great conclusion for these two. Abby and Ethan finally reconnect and from there the story takes off. This book had everything and I loved Chloe!! You finally see what really happened. The lies and betrayal are awful and I’m glad they finally got to reunite!! Great read!!!

I’ve anxiously awaited this sequel since reading the first book on NetGalley. I was so excited to see this title pop up on NG for me and was ready to dive into Abby & Jacob’s lives again!

Some spoilers below:

I was surprised this sequel takes place 2 YEARS later. I did not expect that! I really think it was perfect. This gave Abby time to grow and become pretty fierce. I liked her fine in the first book but found her to be a bit whiny at times. I was proud of the character development.
I really like how Jacob still has that heart of gold. Even when he’s frustrated with Abby, he is still a genuinely good person. I was afraid that time and heartache had changed that but it hadn’t.

The good:
The pacing is nice. I felt that I was easily able to read this in two sittings (would have been one but I started it late in the evening). The steaminess is fun and exciting. And the story mostly goes where you want it to go. I really enjoyed seeing Jacob go into dad mode and getting a glimpse at his upbringing. I really enjoyed it and (just like the first) I’ll purchase it upon release for a fun “go to” romance read.

The maybe not my favorite:
Tiffany and Ethan. Are we ever going to know anything here? It’s been put out there for two books with NOTHING. I was anticipating Abby finding out about them (and it being confirmed for the reader) before I even started reading. But nope. Nothing.
Luke. Okay - obnoxious in the first book but he’s barely mentioned! He was such a big part and we don’t know anything about him. One quick conversation of Abby asking about him and Jacob could say, “he’s great! Works in blah blah.. we get together every once in a while.” I get too invested in characters to not know their fate.

Is there another book? Or is that it? I really couldn’t tell by the ending. I had anticipated an epilogue with everything wrapped up. But it also didn’t feel like there’s enough story left for a third book. I guess we’ll see!
