This book definetly surprised me a lot, it was a really good sequel that ended up being maybe even better than the first. I didn't think A Good Girls Guide to Murder really needed a sequel but it was good to find out what happened to everyone after. I liked that this one wasn't just a brand new story but had a lot of links and mentions of events in the first book. I was shocked at how emotional the ending to this one ended up being and its clear that the authors writing has improved a lot.

The plot, this time a missing person was very gripping and with the higher stakes of time pressure it ended up being very tense. I did enjoy watching all the evidence add up and slowly getting a complete picture of what was happening and I don't think I ever could have guessed the ending.

Pip's character development in this book was fantastic and I loved seeing this different and darker side to her. She has her first real taste of injustices and it makes her understandably very angry. She is not just the good girl everyone thinks she is and she does lash out in this book. I also liked the online aspects of this book and how it highlights the dangers of speaking to people on the internet.

This really was a gripping and tense read, I was hooked and couldn't help but read on. I did get through the book very quickly but it was so good. I'm looking forward to seeing what the last book has in store!

thank you to @electricmonkey for reaching out to me and sending me this gifted copy. You guys know I loved AGGGTM--it's a favorite!

This wasn't what I expected and in a great way. This book was a whole new kind of intense because Pip is dealing with an active case and the aftermath of solving what happened to Andie and Sal. There's a trial going on and everyone is recovering mentally, and now there's a missing person. However, I still think AGGGTM is the favorite and best so far. (I need a 3rd book asap and I'm not the kind of person who loves/ prefers series)

I still really loved all the twists and how the story unraveled. We also need to talk about the formatting! Jackson upped her game with this one, adding photos and all these great details. I can't get over the interview logs, the podcasts, and all Pip's notes. Jackson is quite genius with her writing and unfolding a story. YA thrillers are hard to love but Jackson knows exactly what's she's doing to get you immersed and completely at the edge of your seat. You feel like you're right beside Pip solving the case with her. There's a good balance of humor and darkness. And it's more mature than the average YA thriller.

The character development, especially for Pip was amazing. And I just love her. Ravi is also a favorite. He's so damn goofy and adorable.

If you're interested in true crime, podcasts, and thrillers. This is definitely the one for you (I know the YA part might throw you off but trust me, this series is killer) GGBB will have you hooked from the start. Enjoy this clever, fast-paced ride with an amazing format and a dark ending you won't expect.

5 stars for me.
Trigger warnings for talk of rape, assault, death and murder. °

A sequel that lives up to the expectations set by the first mystery: the young crime-solving detective of a town—Pip—is pulled back into a new mystery surrounding her friend's missing brother, and is surprisingly different from the sophomore novel in the way a digital scavenger hunt is placed at the center and is wonderfully similar to the previous book in the way it still smoothly incorporates Pip's emotions and her individuality as someone whos' passionate about saving the people of her town and on her toes to unravel secrets.

Pippa is back and this time she has to solve another disappearance but, fear not as she has the help of thousands. I loved it, but not as much as I loved the previous book. I can't wait to read the third book though!

Wow! A definite 5 star book. I loved Holly Jackson's A Good Girl's Guide To Murder. The title was one that I could not resist when I spotted it in my local bookshop.
I was so excited when I found out that there was to be a sequel but also curious how it would go.
Good Girl, Bad Blood is every bit as good as the first in the series. Great story building, interesting characters and a fast paced, exciting mystery. Even though these books are classed as YA, I would recommend them to everyone over that age too. They're really good books!
I hope there are more in the series. I for one will be looking out for anything written by Holly Jackson in the future.
Thank you to Netgalley and Electric Monkey for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

After reading A Good Girl's Guide To Murder I was really excited to read the sequel.
Absolutely adored Pip's journey in this book - she's such a brilliant character and always strives to do the right thing for people. It was tense, mysterious and really well paced. Really hope Holly writes a third!

A gripping and fast-paced teen detective novel, the sequel to Holly Jackson’s #AGGGTM.

After risking it all last time she investigated the missing case of Andie Bell, Pip has sworn against her amateur detective duties. That is until Jamie, her friend’s brother, suddenly goes missing and it’s down to her to help find him.

From exploring strange behaviours to reopening local crimes of the past, Pip’s investigation leads her into the trap of a local with a vengeance - one that‘s fatal.

The third-person narrative is accompanied with interview transcripts, images and photographs that bring Pip’s case to life.

Good Girl, Bad Blood is a quick read because it’s impossible to put down - you never know what the next chapter will bring.

Holly Jackson is one of the best YA writers of our generation - I really hope to see a film or TV adaption so the reign of this series continues.

Holly Jackson's sophomore novel sees us returning to Little Kilton and Pip Fitz-Amobi, an 18-year-old with a talent for solving crimes.

This book was absolutely amazing!

If you haven't read A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, don't worry as this book stands in its own right; you will likely get more from the story if you have read the previous book in terms of little nods back to previous events but Jackson seamless brings the reader up to speed without it feeling clunky.

In this book, Pip isn't following a cold case but a young man who has just gone missing, conscious of time ticking away as the statistics for finding him unharmed become more and more dire. This gives a very different feel to the book and makes it feel very novel.

This book has some real substance to it as happy endings aren't guaranteed and Jackson pokes into issues of injustice and moral grey areas.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next book!

In the follow up to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Pip gets drawn in yet again to another crime in her hometown. She has sworn off the detective life, but it pulls her back in when she finds out it’s her friend's brother who is missing. Thank you so much to Holly Jackson and Electric Monkey books for this ARC and fun digital scavenger hunt/mystery!

I liked that you could feel Pip’s evolution in this book. You could tell the first murder she solved took a toll on her and effected her and her family a lot. I liked that the story followed the first book and felt like a continuation of Pip’s story. The mixed media in this book is one of my favorite parts and there is even more in this second book!

The mystery in this book is a great follow up and I loved it just as much as the first book. I am so happy this is a series, because these books are easy to read, easy to follow, and are fun stories to feel a part of. Like the first book, even though this is a YA book, it doesn’t have the immature elements or overdone teen romance. The book focuses on the mystery, and now evolves into her podcast and her following. I loved it and just like the first one, give it 5-stars!
