I really enjoyed this contemporary novel, told from 3 different perspectives. All the juicy secrets kept me on the edge of seat until the final moment.

I went in with expectation that it will be a thriller but it definitely wasn't, it was more drama with soap opera vibes.
It was a bit slow-moving. Nothing really happened throughout the majority of the book and the main characters annoyed me mostly.The "mystery" only kicked in at the end of the book and by then, I lost most of my interest, I guess I finish it only because I was curious to see if I was right.

Riki: Teaches in a private elementary school. She’s constantly hounded and questioned by privileged parents regarding their golden children. Forcing her to walk a fine-line in order to keep her job. As for her personal life...she has a boyfriend she just can’t seem to commit her heart to. Perhaps because she covets someone she shouldn’t?

Sylvia: Overly confident and won’t hesitate to step on anyone to get what she needs. When she learns her boyfriend may not be as ‘available’ as he lets on…well let’s just say, Hell hath no fury. You get where I’m going with this one!

I expected this to be an intense and fun read and it was just that. It was a bit different from my recent reads in this genre so that added to my enjoyment. Some characters annoyed me with their decisions at times, but the plot certainly helped to balance that. I flew through this pretty quickly, but it left me thinking about it for a while after I finished it.

I honestly was expecting this to be a thriller but instead seemed more like a soap opera. I got bogged down with the way jumped from person to person. I actually lost who was whom. It became just tedious to keep up with which person too many times. Did not finish

This was a solid read! I was under the impression that this was a thriller. Lie, Lie Again was more of a drama over anything else. However, this did not stop me from enjoying it.

Lie, Lie Again follows three women as they navigate their personal lives, secrets, and of course, murder! The story was told in three POVs and I found that well-written. I got to look into Slyvia, Embry and Riki's lives and each perspective was distinct and each of them stood out.

In terms of the plot, it was a bit slow-moving. Nothing really happened throughout the majority of the book besides some petty drama. The thriller/mystery aspect only kicked in towards the end of the novel and by then, I lost a bit of interest.

Overall, this was a fun, light read! I recommend it if you're looking for something entertaining.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I really wanted to read this book, sink in to it and let the story take me over. This type of book can be so much fun.. the characters were interesting, even sarcastic and catty. The dialogue popped. I picked it up numerous times but I wasn’t able to follow the story. There was just so much going on. I kept getting tangled up in trying to figure out which character was on the page at any given time and so, I let it go.... there is no doubt in my mind that this book probably deserves a 4 star rating—but I am going to leave it at 2 stars.

Lie, Lie Again was meh to me. I heard all about these 3 women's lives but what did it have to do with the murder? I guess I thought the murder would be the main focus of the book, but it wasn't. It was entertaining and all but after awhile i got tired of hearing about they're day to day life. I had to hand it to Stacy Wise, one of her characters could handle multiple devious tricks at once.

Embry, early twenties. Doting mother with an adoring sucessful husband.

Riki, private school teacher with a man perfect on paper but maybe not in practice.

Slyvia, a bad ass who doesn't mind finding dirty to get what she wants.

These three women have no reason to know each other - until a body winds up dead at the bottom of the stairs at 1054 Mockingbird Lane and we need to journey back in time through all the drama, the love, the hate and the betrayal to find out who exactly is at the bottom of the stairs and why.

Now, this wasn't what I expected - it was a quirky explosion of a thriller with classic contemporary womens fiction. Each woman we meet is so much more than meets the eye - slowly burning away their perfect exteriors and letting us stew in the knowledge of whats coming.

The perfect kind of 'just-one-more-chapter' read -- and one that will keep you on your toes until the end.

The book is the story of three women, all of whom live at an apartment complex: 1054 Mockingbird Lane. They've each got a secret...and they're determined they stay buried, even with the body at the bottom of the apartment building's staircase.

Lie, Lie Again is filled with (as the name would suggest) plenty of lies, secrets and revenge.

I particularly loved the glimpses into the backstories of each of the women, and how they showed that there was more to each of them than initially meets the eye.

A fun and quick read. Mostly likable characters with well developed story lines. While sometimes predictable, this book was overall great light drama/mystery.

I would say that this is a solidly decent book. While I feel like the story ended up being different than I had initially envisioned, the story had a solid foundation, the writing was well done, and the characters were very fleshed out.

I liked that there were three main characters in this story. They are all women who live in the same apartment complex. This is the story of their lives and relationships. I thought I was getting more of a murder mystery story, so the plot was different than I expected. But I think a reader going into this knowing that it’s more about the women than the death will have a better time.

These three characters are all very different aspects of women. Embry is a spirited stay-at-home mom to two 1/2 kids with a husband trying to make it as an actor. Riki is a second grade teacher at a local private school who is trying to navigate school politics while lusting after Embry’s husband and her rather casual relationship with her own boyfriend. And then there’s Sylvia. Sylvia started out as a good character for me, and she was by far the most interesting. However the woman is absolutely unhinged and the more I thought about her actions, the less and less I could tolerate her as a character.

Major spoilers here:

Sylvia finds out that her boyfriend Hugh is cheating on his wife with her…oh and also has a newborn. I get the idea of the revenge fantasy, but she took everything way to far. She stalks him, shows up at his house and pretends to get to know his wife to intimidate him, breaks into his friend’s house, posts revenge porn of herself and frames him for that along with threatening her and being abusive. She goes so far as to set up a burner phone that could be traced back to him, which she uses to send threatening texts to herself. She also seduces him knowingly using expired condoms (or at least pretends to, it’s a bit unclear). She pretends to be pregnant with his kid. I fail to see how knowingly using expired condoms and tricking someone into a pregnancy they didn’t want is not on the sexual assault spectrum, but that is definitely a conversation that should be had. Then, she seduces a man she works with who her coworker has a crush on, just so she can actually become pregnant and pretend that the baby is Hugh’s…Also then she actually becomes pregnant with Hugh’s baby, only to contribute directly to Hugh’s death, and then schemes to entrap another man into thinking it’s his baby and getting married. (Sylvia’s severe childhood trauma is barely acknowledged, but the woman seriously needs help.)

All in all, this was definitely an interesting read. The characters were all fleshed out nicely and the plot moved along and was interesting. I think this is a solid 3 star book. There were elements I didn’t like, but overall it was an easy read with an interesting plot.

The premise of this story was misleading. I attempted reading it twice and walked away both times.

I really enjoyed this book! Although it was more of a domestic drama than a thriller, I liked the character development and how unique each character was. I loved getting to know Syliva, Riki, and Embry! Lie, Lie Again was fast-paced and an easy binge read that was entertaining from beginning to end!

This book was not my favorite but I enjoyed it enough. It was a bit predictable but I still was intrigued enough to finish it.

DNF. Unfortunately, this was a book I started multiple times but could just not get into. I understood that it was in the women's literature genre and thought it would make for a great palate cleanser. My expectations were maybe just a bit too high but the premise just felt predictably flat. I didn't mind that the mystery was only a smaller part of the premise of the novel but the characters just lacked dimension so reading about their everyday lives felt very anticlimactic. I appreciate having the opportunity to read this book, it was just not a good fit for me as a reader.

🍃Embry is a housewife with 2 kids and a loving husband, struggles with the financial stress 😖as her husband is having hard finding job in entertainment industry.

🍃Nikki a 2nd grade private school teacher, even tho makes good amount of money struggles with the daily complain that the high class parents do for every other thing/methods she uses during her teaching session.

🍃Sylvia makes good amount of money and doesn't gets daily complain, struggles with relationships in her life & the memories of her early childhood.

🍃All 3 women have got their own share of struggles in their life but probably they weren't enough. Embry is pregnant for the 3rd time & is scared to tell her husband about it as it would put him into more financial stress. Nikki is crushing over Embry's husband & is on lease after big warning from school's principal. And last poor Sylvia she'd recently discovered that her do loving boyfriend is already married and is a dad.

🍃The whole book is about these 3 women coping up with their respective problems.

🍃Okay I really had high expectations from this book but sorry it didn't lived upto it. The only thing that kept me intrigued was Sylvia's attempts and plans towards uncovering her bf's reality, although I didn't liked the character Sylvia much as she was presented as badass woman but for me she seemed more kind of revengeful & controlling women.

🍃 I won't say that you should read this book. If upu feel like trying it ho on, it's just that this book was kinda okay type me.
