This book is a good fit for readers looking for a heartfelt and steamy contemporary romance between two well-meaning individuals trying to navigate their pasts while building a future together.

At this point Aurora could write absolutely anything and I would read it and love every second. Hooking Him was no different.

Calvin is such an alpha hottie! I absolutely loved him from the moment he pulled over Anna and the Golden Girls (I love Edie) I loved his dog Bane.
His chemistry with Anna leapt off the pages and had me swooning.
I loved Anna, she wanted something different from her life, and gave up what she knew to start over somewhere else.
I absolutely loved seeing Chrissie and Gaston (Anna works at the Sweet Spot)
This was such a great book; great main characters, great side characters, swoony moment, laugh out loud situations, of course hot sexy time, and great storytelling.

Ok I know the story was really about Calvin and Anna but The Golden Girls stole the show. They were hysterical!!!! Ok back to Calvin and Anna, they were just perfect together. From their initial interaction to Calvin going to the bakery to apologize. Their banter was perfect and the peanut gallery (Chrissie and Gaston) only added to the story. Seeing Anna stand up to her parents and go after what she really wanted was empowering. Another great story and a perfect ending to the series.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is back with the next book in How To Catch an Alpha series and I think I have to say that this installment might be the BEST in this series to date and y'all, that is saying a lot because I freaking loved the other two. But Calvin and Anna... something about these two tugged on my heart hard and had me all in the feels fairly early on in their journey.

Hooking Him is the third standalone in this unforgettable, unputdownable series and I am crazy sad to see these characters leave and this beautiful series end but the journeys, the stories, the love discovered... worth every single moment.

Calvin and Anna, gahhhhh these two y'all, I couldn't get enough of them, right from the very start. They hooked me hard, hooked me soooo deep, and had me rooting for them even. HARDER.

If you like heat, heart, suspense, and alphas that'll have you swooning to the max in your romance books then ANY ARR book is an absolute must read.

This book is the 3rd book in this series and with every one I say this is my Favourite. Aurora Rose Reynolds always gives us such beautiful and Fluffy love stories with a twist. And ladies she didn't disappoint with this book. I was so hooked that I read it in one sitting.



Anna is such a beautiful soul that has been hurt emotionally by ppl that are supposed to love and support her.

Her making a move to carve out the life she deserves was so strong of her. I was so proud of her.



Calvin is just yummmmmy, protective and fierce when he wants something, he has set his site on our sweet Anna. Even though when they firta meet he is a giant ass.



Watching these two fall inlove and break down Anna's wall was so beautiful. I was addicted to their story and their hot hot chemistry.

I live how Calvin won Anna over and the rest as you say is history.



I loved that Anna had formed her path and own family. Eddie and her friends are hilarious and I found myself LOL so many times.

This book has the good kinda angst and mystery which I absolutely loved.

Anna changed her life because she knew the life she was living wasn't right for her, so when she meets Calvin she it not sure she can trust what she is feeling. But Anna's past isn't finished with her yet. I loved this story and the self discovery journey that Anna goes on. Calvin was the perfect man and compliment to her. I loved the "golden girls" they cracked me up. I loved this book and all the quirky characters. Highly recommended!!!

The perfect closure to this addictively captivating series! Sexy and swoony Alpha, sweet and sassy heroine, Anna and Calvin really were the perfect wrap up for this fantastic series. Amazing secondary characters that we already know and love just made the shenanigans that more entertaining. Contemporary romance heaven!

Hooking Him is a quick and easy romance book. Anna leaves everything behind in Chicago, including her fiancé, to live a simpler life in a small beach town. I enjoyed the easiness of the story with Anna working at a bakery and renting a room from Edie, a senior citizen who lives life to the fullest. The little bit of humor that is mixed into the story is in thanks to Edie and her fellow Golden Girls, they had me laughing every time. Calvin is a steady character who is instantly attracted to Anna, well except for their first meeting when he compared her to his dog. The connection between Calvin and Anna is there but this one lacks a lot of the chemistry and steam I was expecting, which is perfect if you are looking for a more innocent read. I loved the little bit of mystery/action that was thrown in at the very end.

Book 3 in the How to Catch and Alpha series and I am loving it. Anna and Calvin were so good together. She was looking to start over in a new place and enjoy life after leaving her unfulfilling life in Chicago. What she wasn’t looking for was love but love had other plans. Calvin was attracted to her the first time he saw her. She pulled him in but he was a little leery at first due to his past relationship. She was able to show him that she was not is ex and the one for him. Loved them together and loved their HEA.

Not interested or even thinking of men, one falls into her lap.

Hooking Him is an instant love and connection between Anna and Calvin. It was a lovely quick read that was perfect to get away from it all for a bit and I couldn't put it down.

Anna ran from her life in Chicago, looking for a down to earth life Instead of the prestigious life she was leading. She didn’t believe in chemistry between two people like in the romance novels ... that is until she meets Calvin. Will Anna and Calvin’s new love be able to withstand her past life coming back to haunt her?

Although I enjoyed this book, I found that it was predictable. I liked Anna and Calvin, but I wasn’t in love with them because I felt at times the banter between them was awkward. But the steamy scenes were well written and hot!

Another brilliant book from Aurora, this was a bit more of a slow burner but with the usual wonderful side characters. I’d love to meet the golden girls but sure wouldn’t get in a car with them! Calvin’s parents sounded wonderful too. Highly recommended.

I love a good alpha male read, and Aurora Rose Reynolds delivered. It took me a bit to get into the story, but once I did, I was fully enthralled in Anna & Calvin’s story. This book was exciting, it was fun, and I really enjoyed both of the characters. It was also a very quick read and I have to admit, I definitely wanted more. I'll be looking into more books by Aurora Rose Reynolds, for sure.

Love the cover....hawt! Hooking him was a cute romance of one girls search for real happiness! The local police officer Calvin catches Anna’s eye and although she’s determined not to fall at first... eventually they both succumb.

What did I like? Easy peasy romance. The golden girls were so much fun, I hope I have half as much fun as them when I’m older! Anna tried not to fall for the local law enforcement officer Calvin but the pull is too strong.

Would I recommend or buy? This was a fun romance with some fun drama. I’ve not read much by this author but I enjoyed the read. Four stars. I would definitely read more from this author!

Normally I devour books by this author; but I will admit it took me awhile to get into this one. But once I got into it, I enjoyed it

As much as I love Aurora Rose Reynolds, I could not finish this book. The heroine has the same name as my mom and that was a bit icky to me. Sorry.

Yet another great Alpha Male read by Aurora. Loved Anna & Calvin’s story. Their connection was off the charts. Anna’s past was always going to catch up with her and with a few murders in the area, detective Calvin was going to be busy! These stories are never long enough for me and I need more! As always, well written with a HEA.

I am really enjoying this series and these sweet small town romances. I have really been enjoying this trope. Aura Rose Reynolds has captivated me with these characters.

If you are looking for a fast paced, sweet read you need this book. Hooking Him was such a sweet read that I really enjoyed.
