Great book and perfect for beginners on their sourdough journey! Great information and will help you understand the "science" of sourdough baking.

The recipes are cool ideas, but they are not written so well and for someone who isn't experienced in sourdough bread making a little disappointing. The only measurement given is grams, this is for liquids such as water and melted butter as well so its difficult to measure liquids without some messing about. I found that all of the recipes I tried I had to bake for much longer than the recipe stated. Fabulous pictures which inspire me to keep trying so that I can create some of the beautiful breads in this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Not all the recipes worked for me, and I feel there are some errors in the measurements.

I loved this book! It is such a beautiful book and you really learn a lot about sourdough and bread making. It almost feels like a textbook for sourdough (in a good way). I love a cookbook that isn't just a cookbook of recipes, but one in which you learn so much from it.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested learning everything about sourdough!

I'm an avid baker and baking with sourdough isn't new to me. I've been using my trusty sourdough starter for many years. Despite that, I was enthralled with Ford's fresh take on an old subject, and eagerly dove into it in the hopes of learning something new. I was not disappointed, and I don't think many bakers, new or old, would be; Ford delivers his recipes, his story, and his heritage in such a friendly, easy-to-follow format. The best, for me, was seeing his riffs on classic New Orleans and Honduran specialties, like his absolutely brilliant and delicious pan de coco. For me, and according to Ford's mission statement, it cracked the world of bread wide open to cross borders and racial lines. It's intersectional, diverse baking, and a necessary addition to the home cookbook collection.

This cookbook is absolutely stunning. A little intimidating at first, especially if you have never made sourdough. However, the author really breaks it down into easy to understand techniques and recipes. This would make an excellent holiday gift for a friend or family member interested in diving into the world of sourdough.

Making sourdough times time and patience. It can often feel antidating but this book breaks it down and encourages you to try. The photos are amazing and the directions are clear. I also loved each of the unique stories.

This book is fabulous for someone who already knows a little bit about baking. It might not be the best for an absolute novice. Bryan Ford comes from Honduras by way of New Orleans, and he brings many different elements together for his many sourdough recipes. I had no idea you could make so many things with sourdough. The book starts out with how to make the starter, then gets into the various techniques. Beautiful photos as well.

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for a digital ARC for the purpose of an unbiased review.

Prefect timing, perfect book!

Our family recently started making sourdough so I was excited to get an ARC from NetGalley! Not only is this a great book but I started following Artisan Bryan on Instagram.

With easy to follow directions, Bryan Ford offers a diverse group of recipes that are fun and flavorful. I didn’t know all of the bread items you could make with a sourdough starter!

The book captures the artistry of bread making with delectable photography!

I really enjoy cooking and browsing through cook books and this has to be one of the better bread recipe books I've found. I'm not familiar with Bryan Ford but he is obviously a very good and passionate Baker. This book makes it easy to learn how to make a sourdough starter that then gives you so many different delicious bread options to bake from around the world. I loved how many different countries breads were represented in this boo from pretzels to English muffins. I also love how easy the recipes are to understand and each recipe is set out the same way so you can easily see how they all compare. This would be a great book for anyone looking to get into baking.

This is a fantastic cookbook if you want to make sourdough bread or other items. The pictures were beautiful, and I loved all the recipes for sweet sourdough things I wouldn't think of.

I made the pizza dough and focaccia using my existing starter, and they both came out great! I highly recommend this book.

What a wonderful way to be introduced to the world of sourdough breads. The author is influenced from his Hispanic heritage and living in New Orleans. The reader is gifted with a multicultural approach to the global appeal of sourdough and how common it really is the world over. I appreciated the way the author presented the recipes, using easy to follow directions along with photographs. I've never been able to bake break before with any measure of success. No more. Thanks to Bryan Ford, I can now say, I'm a bread baker. Thank you so much! A marvelous book for novices and experienced bakers alike.

The way Bryan talks about bread and technique is so joy filled that it spreads to you. I love bread and making it but have always felt like I wouldn't enjoy making sourdough but I'm now eager to try it out through Bryan's recipes and techniques. I am buying my own hard copy of Bryan's book and will definitely be suggesting it to everyone I know that is interested in bread making. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital review copy.
