I found the storyline intriguing and was gripped from the beginning. The plot was clever and I felt the emotions the characters went through were well written and believable.

A really gripping read. I’ll be reading the other books by this author, a great writer.

Beth is a marriage counselor, but is undergoing problems in her own marriage. Her husband had an affair, and leaves with their 4-year old son. Enter Danielle, who has deep secrets of her own. She came to see Beth because her marriage has grown distant. All Danielle wants is to have a child of her own. This novel is narrated by both Beth and Danielle, which is a format that I really enjoy. I also enjoyed the shorter chapters. I found it hard to put this novel down, as both of the main characters are written so well that you get completely indulged in their lives. This was an excellent thriller, and I look forward to more books by this author.

"I Know Your Secret" by Ruth Heald alternates between two women and the twists turn into a great psychological thriller. Somebody should warn Danielle and Beth that secrets can lead to trouble...or worse.

Wow...this was an unexpected, fast-paced thriller that had me hooked from the very beginning. The prologue begins with a woman leaving the scene of a fire, where she hears a scream but leaves. Then the book moves in a total direction and we meet Beth, a family therapist dealing with her crumbling marriage and the prospect of being a single mother to her son, Charlie. She begins treating a woman named Danielle, an attorney with a difficult past, who's having troubles in her own marriage. She wants a baby and her husband doesn't. From the beginning, you learn that there's something off between these two women, but it's not until much later that everything comes together. Super thrilling, creepy, and juicy....I could really relate to both women and both hated and loved them both at times. The ending was a total shock....definitely worth staying up late and waking up early to finish!!

4 out of 5 stars for I Know Your Secret by Ruth Heald. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review and opinion. Thrillers are a hard sell for me, but this one did it for me! The synopsis intrigued me immediately. This is the perfect, quick domestic thriller based around two women - Beth and Danielle. Beth is Danielle's therapist, discussing Danielle's marriage issues.

This one is a fast paced thriller that I needed. Usually unreliable female narrators drive me crazy, but this one seemed to work. The two main characters come off strong, but behind closed doors are secretly unreliable as anything. I loved the twists and turns this book took. I recommend picking it up if you love twisty domestic thrillers!

I found this book an interesting conundrum. It took me a week to read the first half but only one night to finish the second. The book is told from two opposing viewpoints: Beth, a spiraling therapist who is trying to navigate life after separating with her husband, and Danielle, an obviously troubled lawyer who's life has changed after acquiring severe facial scars. Except one of these characters is a lot more shady. Overall I think that I can sum this book as okay.

The twist surprised me enough but unfortunately not because I had a Scooby Doo moment but rather due to the characters' that we spent the book getting to know completely doing a 180. I felt that everything we had been told about these characters matched up logistically but not organically. It felt like a forced twist and if I am being really honest, I didn't like it. This is not to say I did not like the book. Beth was likely the most interesting part of the story. The author does a great job of making us feel like we can trust her and so we sympathize with her when she begins to struggle mentally in lieu of her husband's cheating. I think that for me, her character is the best part of this book.

To sum up my thoughts, I did not regret reading this book but I did not think that the payoff was as good as it potentially could have been. There were a lot of instances where things were simply told to us but it didn't make sense as to why they kept being repeated. It all just felt too forced. And yet I did find it moderately enjoyable despite having to suspend my disbelief fairly far.

A very entertaining drama that grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Everyone has been holding onto secrets for years and they are all ready to explode.

Wowza, what a fast paced, unputdownable read! This is one of those books that I hardly took a breather during reading, so packed with lies, I hardly could tell which way was going to be real! Well written, fast paced, thrilling, chilling, shocking, and fun! Fun, because us thriller lovers yearn for the thrills, chills, and shocks that thrillers provide; and this book delivered them in a cold, calculating manner! Full of tension, suspense, and secrets! I highly, highly recommend!

This was a fast paced mystery that held my attention and kept me up at night so that I could finish. Lots of twists and turns, some a little predictable, but definitely a book worth reading.

Beth and Danielle both seem like normal, middle aged woman, just trying to manage life, and find themselves thrown together when Danielle is in need of a therapist. But both have secrets from their past that come full circle as their lives begin to intertwine more and more.

A quick, thrilling read that I would recommend.

Crazy train - This probably shouldn’t be getting such a high review but if it keeps my interest during these times so be it.

This isn’t really anything new. It’s also highly predictable. But it was also a bit clever and quite fast paced. The chapters are short and almost each ends on a cliffhanger. The prologue whets the palate for a game of cat and mouse and clearly the author is trying to lead you in the wrong direction (because of this I automatically veer the other, as I’m sure most would).

Did I figure it out? Yes, almost everything (couple of twists I didn’t see though). It was fun and entertaining and a much needed break from this year’s happenings. I like this author and will look forward to the next.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Bookouture for a copy in exchange for a review.

I would rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This was an interesting thriller, it is definitely quite psychological in nature. Both Beth and Danielle are keeping a lot of secrets and the reader is drawn in trying to discover all of them.

The writing was very easy to digest and the book was easily flown through.

The book was a little bit predictable and I did feel like Beth went from 0-100 real quick in terms of her mental decline.

Overall an enjoyable psychological thriller.
