This is a cute and useful guide to drawing different dog breeds. It includes extra activities like word searches so it would be a great gift for a child who loves dogs and is wanting to learn how to draw them.

A perfect addition for any library that can't keep drawing books on the shelf. So many drawing books step readers through the basic shapes, correct lines to create the object, and then magically a lifelike rendition appears on the last step. This book is different. It is more realistic to what the final drawing will be - a beginner's version of the featured dog. This is something many students comment on - My drawing doesn't look anything like theirs. I'm not good at drawing. This book will be popular with the artists and dog lovers both, as well as librarians and parents.

It is art and craft activity book for kids. Dogs form important part of books and graphic novels. It teaches in simple steps, how to draw 17 different fog breeds. All picture are colored and simplified. It makes drawing fun.

This is a helpful and fun little book! I used to read and doodle sometimes but always without any structure. The steps and examples given in the volume can greatly help the beginner to grasp the basics of drawing and to understand how a more complex form can be created by putting simple geometrical forms beside each other.

I would recommend this book for kids and adults alike. The latter can learn how to draw cute dogs either for their own amusement or for the children around them.

This book broke down drawing dogs into simple shapes. I found there to be many helpful drawing exercises to improve my skills. I enjoyed the “fun facts” throughout the book. There were a lot of good tips on features of different dog breeds to help you with your own drawings.

I think kids might enjoy the word search, mazes, and other activities in the book. I wasn’t expecting it.

I found this to be an adorable book.  Even if you don't want to draw, just looking through this title will make you smile.  Some of the many dogs included are the Old English Sheepdog, the English Springer Spaniel (my dog growing up!), the Golden Retriever Puppy. The Pembroke Welsh Cori and the Dalmatian.  Each breed gets a fun fact on their page. There are also activities like the Dinner Time Maze, and the Pup Poop activity, among others.  And, of course, there are instructions on everything from the tools and materials needed, to the how to steps.  The book even includes tracing paper and sketch pages.

This was a cute and useful guide to drawing some dog breeds. It included little activities like word searches so it would be a great gift for a child who loves dogs and is wanting to learn how to draw them. This book is equally good for any adults who would like to draw dogs but have no idea where to start!

This book includes three ways to learn how to draw dogs: tracing, the grid method, and the step-by-step method. All are fairly translatable to the other, meaning you could draw a grid tutorial using the step-by-step method or the tracing as grid (the only on you can't do is tracing to step-by-step). They provide tracing paper at the back as well at grid paper after each grid tutorial as well as blank paper for step-by-step. I loved the fun facts they provided for each type of dog; however, there was one on tail-docking where it was presented quite light-hearted, but is actually quite serious and controversial and so I wished they would have picked a different fact. I also would have liked to see some steps on how to colour the dogs in, but they do provide a final version that is fully coloured and so that still helps. Overall, I thought this book was really fun and teaches you about dogs while you learn how to draw them!

This book contains three different styles so that no matter which way a child is most comfortable (tracing, grid, step-by-step) there is an option for several breeds that they can work on. There are also other fun filled projects (mazes, etc) for the young dog lover in your life to enjoy. Overall, my only "improvement" would be if they offered more than one of the three drawing styles for a breed, so that a child could see how to transition between the two as their skill levels improve.

This is a wonderful tutorial book for dog lovers and artists of all ages!

The tutorials are well layed out and easy to follow. This book is not only perfect for beginners and dog lovers but I feel adults and children would love it as well. As I said above this book has a universal appeal for all ages. If you love dogs you will love this book!

This is truly a fun and inspirational book and as a dog lover I am in heaven! I would absolutely buy this book as a gift and I highly recommend it.

Cute book! I've been wanting to draw my dogs (a German Shepherd and a Husky) and i was so happy that this book has both of them! The steps are easy to follow and very clear. It's great for beginners and dog lovers not just for kids. There are some activities like word search and maze that the kids would enjoy. This would be a fun gift to give for a child’s birthday or just before taking a trip. I can see this keeping children busy on planes, trains or in cars for hours. Parents or grandparents might want to help out or even borrow the book to sketch themselves. Add to the book some colored pencils, crayons or paints along with extra paper and it is a gift that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Loved the trivia and have to admit I had trouble with one of the puzzles...oh my!

This has been a great book for my child who loves dogs and drawing. There are many dogs breeds, including our type of dog! Each dog has one of three types of ways to draw. They are grid, tracing, or basic shapes drawing. This is great for quarantine!

The perfect drawing book for dog lovers. The instructions are very clear, and step by step so great for children or beginners learning to draw. The pleasure of getting quick recognisable results is encouraging. The activities are aimed at children and so is the book but I think an adult learning to draw would also love it. The dog breeds are clearly defined and are life like enough to be educational. Overall a brilliant little book that would be perfect on any rainy day afternoon
