This festive read is brimful of seasonal touches. We see Lottie's family gather for one last family Christmas and there are some genuinely humorous episodes. The mix of characters is spot on with all generations included. Everyone has their own backstory and there are one or two secrets hanging there in the background. Even the animals are great fun and add to the slightly chaotic goings-on in the family.
Lottie is at the centre of the story and she is a thoroughly likeable young woman. As the Christmas holiday passed by. I loved how her patience began to wear thin, despite her affection for her family. This is a great feelgood read. It is fun and at the same time, has plenty of poignant moments. Bella Osborne paints a picture of a Christmas celebration which the reader can recognise, filled as it is with human moments, a touch of romance, kindness and, ultimately, a recognition of what makes the characters happy.
In short: Fun and games at the family Christmas.
Thanks to the author for a copy of the book

What a brilliant well written novel. Bella Osbourne at her best, her books always please but this one is really great.. Although this is a rom-com there is a lovely story or family secrets and downfalls but things have a habit of working out. I really don't want to give the storyline away but will say everyone should enjoy this book with its Christmas feel good factor. I am giving this 5 stars, wish it could be more. Recommend this to all.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this AR|C in return for an honest review.

I have been a fan of Bella’s books for a while now. I haven’t quite caught up with everything that she has written but I am getting there. I read the synopsis for ‘One Family Christmas’ and it certainly sounded like the fun, light hearted and comforting story that I have come to expect from Bella. I was spot on too because it had all the aforementioned qualities. I absolutely loved ‘One Family Christmas’ but more about that in a bit.
I absolutely loved the character of Lottie and I warmed to her from the very start. At the beginning of the story we find her making the traditional Christmas pudding with her Nan. Lottie and her Nan share a very close bond and think the world of each other. Sadly Lottie’s beloved Nan passes away but Lottie is determined that the family are going to have the traditional Christmas that her Nan had planned. Lottie is a lovely lass. It’s clear that she has had issues in the past with certain people who have upset her or treated her like dirt and she can’t forget that. Will the Christmas that her Nan planned be a success or a flop? Are there shocks and surprises in store for Lottie and the other family members and friends? Well for the answers to those questions and more you are just going to have to read the book for yourselves to find out as I am not going to tell you. Trust me, you will love ‘One Family Christmas’ just as much as I did.
It’s no word of a lie when I say that I was drawn into this story from the very start. As soon as I started to read, I just knew that I was not going to be able to put the book down at all!! How right I was too. I didn’t put this book down from the moment I first picked it up until the moment I read the last word on the last page. I was blown away by the story and by how much I was enjoying the story. I think that part of the reason why I enjoyed the book so much was the fact that Lottie was such an adorable character and I had to know how things panned out for her. At times I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough. Whilst reading ‘One Family Christmas’ I lost all track of time. The first time I checked on how long I had been reading for, I was staggered to realise that I had been reading for 2 solid hours. I thought that I had only been reading for a half hour. I soon got to the end of the book and I had to bid farewell to Lottie and to the rest of the characters.
‘One Family Christmas’ is superbly written but then I think that to be true of Bella’s books in general. She has a way of creating adorable characters and makes them come alive as it were. I know that might sound daft to some but I find that Bella’s characters are so well described that they seem just as real as you and I. I felt as though I was part of the story and that is This book had a bit of everything- there was drama, sadness, love, loss but there was also a large dose of humour and some parts of the story literally made me laugh out loud. This is an ultimately uplifting story, which left me with a smile on my face and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘One Family Christmas’ and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Bella’s work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

A wonderful read.

No one’s life is perfect and as I start reading my glut of Christmas fiction, I find it refreshing to come across a story that shows family life how it really is. That one relative who makes the grand claim on being a death's door, the mother who is afraid of being lone, an uncle who is less than perfect, a brother who is trying move one and our protagonist who is finding the idea of moving on a little overwhelming.

I love the quirky characters, the animals, and the feeling of what a family Christmas is really like, cutthroat, funny, and imperfect, behind the curtains and Christmas lights.

Definitely one of my favourite novels this year.

It's always fun when one of your favourite authors writes a festive book, and this one has laughter, love and life in abundance. Lottie wants to have a perfect family Christmas for her lovely Nana Rose, but the reality isn't quite as rosy as the dream. Like many families, Lottie's family has its eccentric members and secrets, but when they all in the same house, its a recipe for mayhem.

Lottie's inability to cook is one obstacle and the emerging secrets from her family is another, but this makes for a fun read with touches of poignancy and romance that is likely to have you recalling past family Christmases. Every character adds to the story, especially the animals and you are left with a smile on your face when you reach the last page, lovely.

I received a copy of this book from Avon Books UK via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Wow, I loved this book! It was so heartwarming and unputdownable that I just found myself feeling all cosy and warm inside! Loved the characters, the storyline - everything!

Today is publication day for Bella Osborne’s latest novel, One Family Christmas, and it is my stop on the blog tour. Thank you Rachel’s Random Resources, Bella Osborne and Avon for allowing me to take part.

First things first, this book is brilliant! It is full of festivities, a bunch of great characters all holding secrets and lots and lots of fun.

Lottie hosts one last big family Christmas in her family’s old manor house. She knows what it’s what her Nana would have wanted but she isn’t prepared for what she has let herself in for.

As her family descends on her, Lottie is left wondering how her Nana used to pull it off every year. She is faced with drama and disaster and every turn. These all bring so much fun and laughter to the book.

Lottie’s family brings a whole bunch of differing characters who I’m sure everyone can recognise in their own families, especially over the festive period. They all bring a great dynamic to the story.

The different secrets the family are keeping are all revealed and unraveled over the course of the story and they are what brings the comedy to the book. There’s drama and disaster throughout as plans are attempted and failed.

This is the imperfectly perfect family Christmas, that is full of festive cheer and you need to make sure you add it to your to-be-read pile for this Christmas period.

Anyone reading this with the power, you MUST turn this into a film! It will be perfect!

Time to get festive and for Lottie that means upholding long standing traditions, at least this one final time. Determined to uphold her Nana’s customs and Christmas traditions she sets about playing host before a surprise visitor leaves her feeling on edge, a houseful of family drama and a cat and dog that cause drama every way she turns.
What an absolute hoot, I loved this from beginning to end. Littered with sentimentality for years gone by and missed loved ones, it has plenty of laugh out loud moments that highly entertained – usually involved one furry friend at least. I really loved this family and fair play to Lottie – she really works hard to make everyone happy.
Her kitchen disasters are appreciated even if sounding inedible. I loved her relationship with her brother, he is always on her side which is good as at times I felt like she was treated like some servant catering to everyone else’s whims and fancies.
What I really enjoyed about this? Is that I could identify with parts, some of the mishaps and funny moments. I think this is what will appeal to so many readers, we aren’t given the picture-perfect Christmas that although often cute, just isn’t realistic. One Family Christmas is bound to remind most people of their own unique family Christmases.
So many characters can sometimes be confusing, but each had their own unique personality and place in the book it felt like you were right in the middle of this crazy but equally lovely family. I could see this as a fun filled, comedy Christmas film!
Family relationships are tested but this heart warming read will show that through all the ups and downs family can be there for each other. It’s a gorgeous, cosy read that will have you laughing one minute and feeling reminiscent the next. With forgotten love, missed family members and new chances at love being offered, this wonderful read can tick all the boxes.
I highly recommend this fun filled, festive treat!

I loved this book. I love a good festive read and this ticked all the boxes for me I definitely recommend you read this and cosy up getting in the mood for the festivities.

I usually don't like stories that have secrets in it, but I do love this whole family affair plot, the big family who has to sort out their problems during the holidays.

Something I loved was how she brought Lottie's grief and the whole family grief during Christmastime, about how hard it is to celebrate after losing someone, keeping old traditions and adding new ones. I know the feeling, it is always so weird at first, but you grow accostumed to. One of my favorite parts was when they paid homage to Nana Rose, I was crying. The family aspect also pulled on my heartstrings, how you can have so many fights and intrigue, but family is family.

The POVs were very confusing, but I did like their plots. I did miss more of Lottie's development, I felt like she was just an observer and it kind of bothered me. The same for Joe, he had so little time. But Emily's was really good, I liked the whole talk about gender roles, and her friendship with Lottie.

It was a solid read, I definitely enjoyed it. Though everything took too long to happen, sometimes it felt like nothing was really happening. Also, the writing wasn't my favorite, but it did not affect my enjoyment of the book. The light-hearted feel it had was cute, and it does get better towards the ending. If I could, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Totally worth the read.

Lottie is determined to fulfil nana Rose's Christmas wish of a big family Christmas. When exes, vegan toyboys and all manner of secrets come out will the Collins family and Lottie get their happy family Christmas?
This is the first book by Bella Osborne I have read but it certainly won't be the last.
I loved the story, the Collins family are the kind of madcap bunch I would so anything to be a part of. Its no secret I love Christmas with Christmas stories and Christmas films warming my heart at any time if year. Yes they are predictable and light but there is just something so magical about that.
Quite often having a large number of characters, especially with them all having their own storylines going on, a book can lose focus and the narrative goes off in tangents often but Bella has managed to keep this all tied together seamlessly.
My only negative was I felt it ended rather abruptly. It felt like the end of the chapter not the end of the book, I was expecting just maybe through till the end of that day once everyone had gone home again with some more of that predictable romance just to finish it off.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this and would definitely recommend.

I haven’t read any books by Bella Osborne but I will definitely be looking for more.
I was immediately sucked in the the family Christmas of Lottie and her family. Lottie has recently lost her dear nana and was determined to make one last family Christmas before the house is sold. All her plans go astray when she is faced with the return of her first love Joe from America.
Everything that could go wrong will go wrong for The Collins Family. They made me laugh as they moved from one disaster to the next. Amidst all of this we learn how important keeping up family traditions are.
A funny/sad Christmas book. Loved every single page from start to finish.

I absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down when I started reading it. It is such a fun and enjoyable read. I had read Bella's previous book set in Pebble Beach and it was one of my favourite books that I have read so far this year. This one is a new favourite, I can't think of anything negative to say about it.
If you have ever spent Christmas with family then there will be something that you can relate to. There is a variety of characters, all well written.
Lottie is a lovely character and you can't help but admire her determination when she tries to make the last ever family Christmas perfect, even when everything seems to be going wrong.
This is the perfect read when Christmas is likely to be very different this year. It's perfect for curling up with and escaping for a while. It is a very festive book, set around the Christmas period. It is funny, heartwarming and uplifting. I couldn't help smiling while I was reading it.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC of this gorgeous book.

One family Christmas - @bellaosborneauthor

A big family. A whole lot of secrets. A Christmas to remember…
This year, Lottie is hosting one last big family Christmas at the home she grew up in – just like her Nana would have wanted.
But when her relatives descend on the old manor house, Lottie gets more than she bargained for. Every family has its secrets, but in this family, everybody has one!
So, between cooking a Christmas dinner, keeping tensions at bay and a stray dog out of mischief, she has plenty on her plate (and not just misshapen sausage rolls and a frozen turkey). And then her first love shows up – nine years after he walked out of her life.
Can Lottie make their last family Christmas one to remember… for the right reasons?

My review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Oh I really enjoyed this book 💝 It was such an easy and enjoyable read that I flew through it and completed it within two evenings!

The story was fun, witty, and of course festive. Each character was likeable (personally I loved them all), and I found myself unable to choose a favourite, as each one was younique and quirky in their own way. The secrets and events were built up, the hiccups, disasters and revelations surrounding the secrets were funny, and literally had me laughing out loud at parts, yet cringing at others ..... there were even the odd time I had tears in my eyes! I loved the relationships; the sarcasm, banter and support and most of all love that the characters had with each other!

Overall, I really enjoyed it! This is definitely a book that I will re-visit leading up to Christmas in the future 💝

I’m just gutted I won’t actually be able to join in the fun with the ‘Collins family’ in real life 🤣

One family Christmas is out to buy on 16th October- so get it onto your wish lists :)

Thank you @netgalley @avon_books @bellaosborneauthor for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 💝🎄

Lovely warm book. Lottie is a great character with her mad family! Loved the interaction between her and her mother. Angie is a great character, childish and trying to stay young. All of family were so well written both good and bad. Yes its predictable but it doesn't detract from the book at all.
Loved it

Wow this book was really, really, REALLY good. I stayed up super late twice to get it finished because I didn't want to stop reading.

I have read a lot of fun, cozy family Christmas stories lately and THIS ONE was the BEST by far.

I immediately felt engaged with the characters and wanted to learn more about them. The book also had non-stop action (I know, strange for this kind of book, but it made the story flow and go by so quickly, I couldn't put it down!)

If you enjoy cozy English family lightly dramatic stories with a bit of humor and romance, you will LOVE this book. I would definitely recommend it and give it as a gift.

Light, pretty clean (innuendo but nothing graphic), and very little language.

I received an ARC of this book as a reviewer for NetGalley. I actually really loved this book.

Escape to Henbourne Manor this Christmas!

After her grandmother dies, Lottie wants one more family Christmas at her grandmother's house - the place she also calls her home.

With a cat named Duchess, Lottie's distant mother and her toyboy, her brother and his new partner, plus her aunt and uncle, Lottie has her work cut out keeping the peace....nevermind the amount of Christmas baking she has to do!

Throw into the mix Joe, who Lottie hasn't seen nor heard of for nine years - tensions are about to rise...along with her pulse!

Fell in love with Lottie and Henbourne Manor. Beautifully written, devoured this hoping for a sequel.

This is a cracking read with a lovely main character and a whole host of very different characters which make up her family. It’s definitely a Christmas none of them would forget with one event and revelation after another but it flows so well that you can’t help wondering what’s going to go wrong next! It’s warm hearted, funny and sometimes emotional but ultimately feel good. This is actually a great read for any time of the year.
