I loved the sound of this book, but just really struggled with it.I had to really persevere to try and get into it, and I just couldn't .I wasn't keen on any of the characters and found it to be quite slow. I hope other readers enjoy it more than I did.

Really good read. Would recommend to friends and family. I could sympathise with characters (important for any fiction novel!) and looked forward to picking it up and reading the next few chapters! Interesting plot line and a good ending. Will look out for more novels by the author. Thank you.

Thanks to Netgalley for the preview of this book. I found it ok.. i found it slightly disappointing & it was hard to keep going in the book. The characters were ok & the plot wore a little thin as the book had storyline progressed.

if the stories she’s telling aren’t her stories at all . . .Firstly a big thank you to the publishers for approving my request to read on netgalley. This is a new author for me .. and wow what a book.Ive been in this situation in terms of a abusive relationship so there were parts that were so close to home . Its written so accurately! This is a fantastic psychological thriller, i loved the characters and the storyline. Cleverly written and plotted to make you keep turning the page. This will get right under your skin and stay with you after you finish.Thought provoking and hard hittingPublished in paperback August and out now in ebook.

Clare James shows up at a police station. She is seriously abused, tortured and malnourished and states she has been kept prisoner in her own house.
DS Clarke deals with DV cases all the time, she knows them by heart. But when she looks into Clare’s story something doesn’t add up.
Sally is in a police protection programme for being the final and deciding witness in her husband’s murder trial. Her husband who is soon to be released from jail.

‘Every Move You Make’ is a tale told from the point of views of three very different females. The narrating style is as different as each woman and her story. The main themes of the book are female bonds and friendships in difficult and unlikely situations, as well as domestic abuse and the unfairness and injustice of the social system that most of these women have to rely on.

I found this to be an intriguing fast paced book with an interesting storyline. I found it easy to read yet emotionally laden. Clare’s character development was well written albeit brief.

Thank you for the opportunity to read Every Move You Make, unfortunately it wasn’t my cup of tea.

3 star review given since I didn’t finish this. (I don’t give low reviews to books I don’t finish since it’s all opinion!)

A woman turns up at a police station after escaping from being abused and kept prisoner in her own home. The police visit her address, however things don't add up and her husband is missing, with his phone and wallet left at the house. What is going on? A fast-paced thriller that I felt was just okay. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

A good story with relatable characters. I sped through this book. Suspensful and fast paced. A truly exciting novel. Highly recommended xx

An enjoyable read for the most part, a psychological drama about domestic abuse which focuses more on the relationships developed between women in a shelter than on the mystery element.

I liked that about it, the characters are sharply imagined and highly engaging, you go through a range of emotions with them and it offers a lot of insight.

I wasn't quite as enamoured of the wider plot, it followed many of the usual tropes of the genre but overall a satisfying read where the characters you meet within the pages will linger with you.

I received this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really did not like this it all.

The blurb really had me interested, and it had all the promise of being a good psychological thriller.
Sadly that’s where my excitement stopped.

After only 10% in, I found myself annoyed at the disjointed style of writing. The flashing back and forwards between her thoughts and what was actually happening did not translate well at all, and just became annoying to read.

I felt like there were so many characters thrown in within the first 5 pages it was chaotic, and none of them ever really developed any substance.

Fewer characters with better development really would have helped this book.

I pushed on to finish it as it was a Netgalley read, if it were one I’d chosen just for myself it would have been a DNF.
Sadly, not one I’ll be recommending.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for the Arc of this book❤️

Also thanks to Deborah Bee for writing this book❤️

Clare or otherwise known as Coco turned up to the police station accusing her husband Gareth of keeping her prisoner in her own home by her abusive husband not saying to much as don't want to give anything away...❤️

There are doubts on whether what Clare said was the truth..

Edging, cultivating gripping psychological thriller, with lots of twists and turns I finished on one night!

Will review on other sites like Amazon etc once published!❤️

I enjoyed this incredible thriller very much, and found the protagonists to be realistic and believable. Highly recommended!

Sadly this one just wasn't for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, there were way too many discrepancies in the validity of the police work and other key plot elements. It also felt like the book focused on too wide of a cast, so you struggled to really connect with any of them or have any real interest.

Overall, an average read with nothing to really make it stand out. Not as good as it sounds from the synopsis, and not one I'd recommend.

spoiler alert ** 3.5 stars

Psychological thriller done right I'd say.
Where you,as the reader, are definitely left wondering if the victim is telling the truth,or if she really is crazy.
Two victims, both living in fear of their partners, and an irritating third character (sorry kitty, but you were written to annoy us I think) makes a book filled with tension.
Some light moments of humour provided by the group in the refuge.
As a whole,a decent book to get lost in for the afternoon.
