This was a fun, easy book to read. I loved both Emma and Cash but Wesley stole the show for sure. While it was quite predictable the author kept it fresh and held my interest with the way she spun the story. A very enjoyable way to spend the day!!

The F List is what I think the community used to call a "clean" romance--no sexy times in this novel--that will easily grab your attention and hold it for a full day at the beach, pool, or cozied up on the couch.

This novel gives us a deep dive into #influencer culture and fame. It follows the story of Emma and Cash, two pseudo-celebrities, famous because of how their images play out on social media, and how they go from meeting once at a party to being enemies to falling in love. It's an interesting contemplation on perception versus reality and how much goes into the personas who are famous for ...nothing, really. And if you take a minute to think about it--what dumdums we are for falling prey to the marketing tactics of social media. Neither Emma or Cash are particularly bad or good; they're really just normal people who were hungry for love and attention and used that hunger to launch "personalities" that would make them famous and therefore loved and beloved.

While the target audience for this novel might be a smidge younger than I am, I found it enjoyable. I was entertained during the initial reading and reflective after I put the novel down. It's one of the things I really have enjoyed about Alessandra Torre's novels: at first, you're being entertained and then the commentary she's presenting to us about our society, culture, ideas presents itself through subtle nudges and interactions and before you know it you're thinking about #influencer culture and what that really means.

Fun, thoughtful, quick read.

Whoa, what a book! The F List was like a reality TV show that I couldn’t stop binging. It was a trainwreck, that I literally could not look away from. The drama was absolutely ridiculous yet so entertaining. The book starts out with Emma being interviewed for a role in a reality TV show with 6 celebrities living together in a home. Then, we immediately go back to how Emma became a celebrity and gained followers. It was quite the look into a life of an Instagram Influencer, and maybe a little disturbing how it all played out. Emma is the mean girl on the pages, but actually a really sweet girl, who just wanted to be famous. Then, we’re in the reality show and all the drama that the producers cooked up for it. There was a romance in there between Emma and Cash, the good guy, but a lot of it didn’t play out on the pages, and what was shown was a little tame. There were also quotes from producers and various people close to Emma, which helped shape the story a lot. The entire story was a quick read, but I will admit I wanted more from this world and these characters. This is a highly entertaining read and a welcome escape from our current world. I would definitely recommend it.

Fair warning to my fellow readers out there...Before you begin this new book by Alessandra Torre you best be sure that you have enough time allocated to read front to back because Emma and Cash's story is that mesmerizing. I couldn't put it down if I tried!

Emma - she is one piece of work. She is one of those that you want to hate. Her stalkerish ways start off as out of control. As the story goes on, however, you begin to focus on why she becomes the way she is and you begin to love her for it. The object of her attention - Cash didn't stand a chance!

I loved how Alessandra delivered such a fresh and unique love story. I honestly couldn't get enough! Epilogue, please???

Four and a half stars.

Alessandra Torre does sweet romance without the smexy!

I love Alessandra Torre's Hollywood Dirt and so when I saw this ARC available for request I jumped at the chance to review it.

Emma Blanton used to be a trailer-trash white girl with bad teeth and an ugly name until a tragedy gave her a chance to reinvent herself into an influencer with thousands of followers and a good living from brand placement. But she'll never reach the dizzying heights of the entitled famous, the sons and daughters of the famous like Cash MItchell, the archetypal rich kid, all gleaming teeth and blonde hair, son of a famous soap opera diva, and also Emma's secret crush from before she became famous.

An arranged date goes badly wrong and leads to Emma getting a reputation as a straight-talking blogger with a bad attitude, a reputation she exploits to build her reputation, until the two of them are asked to take place in a reality TV show for MTV like Celebrity Big Brother, but without the food shortages and silly tasks. Everything is supposed to be scripted but Emma and Cash keep going off script.

I tore through this book in a single day, that's how much fun I was having, Cash and Emma are both such lovable characters and who doesn't love a celebrity reality TV show featuring the rich and good-looking?

A sexless romance. When Emma crushes on a popular famous guy she sets out to become famous herself. In order to acquire fame she needed followers. What better way to earn followers was through other famous individuals. Emma climbs to fame on the back of several other famous individual riding their coattails.
Eventually she earned enough followers to gain famous status and a spot on MTV’s reality show House of Fame. Six of the most famous internet celebrities will live in this house for six weeks.

Overall:
I’m not the type of person who follows celebrities or concerns myself with followers. However, Alessandra shed a new light on both of these. What she had to say was interesting. I found myself quite intrigued by this process to fame. Although, once the show began I felt at a loss.
It’s a different type of read than I’m used to. It read like a script and I’m sure that was the intention. It was easy to read. Sadly, because of the scripted format I found little connection with the characters. The only scenes that felt genuine where the ones with Wesley.
Alessandra changed my perspective on reality tv. I’ve watched MTV shows before and take them with a grain of salt. This show left a bad taste in my mouth and reminded me why I don’t watch reality tv shows anymore.

If there is one thing Alessandra is great at its being well informed with the trends. I thought it was cute and clever. Yet, it doesn’t hold a candle to some of her other books.

What can i say? i really really liked it. The writing had a nice flow and it was very easy to follow the story. I really liked Emma, Cash and Wes. The others i didn`t care so much about, though sometimes Cash and Emma annoyed me to no end, but still really liked them. Both of them grew in development and started to understand and see each other. This Author did it very well and i`m very happy to have gotten accsepted for it at netgalley.

Ok, so I went into this book expecting a vapid, "celebrity" romance with characters you love you hate - a bit like car crash tv, where you judge yourself for how much you want to keep watching. However, what I got was a book that I adored, with characters that I genuinely loved!

I was surprised by how much of the story was the backstory of Emma and Cash, but it really worked, giving you a more in depth look at characters that actually had fairly ordinary insecurities and just made mistakes. The ending was one of my favourite endings ever!

I devoured this book in a few hours because I couldn't put it down. Possibly my favourite romance of the year!

I would've loved this book in high school. It was about Hollywood, the evergreen trope of hate turning into love, and all the drama within but with a reality TV show thrown into the mix.

4 stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I liked this story quite a lot.
It wasn't that unusual of a premise but the execution made it feel fresh and it was a totally fun read.
Great depiction of present times with all the celebrity endorsements, fan followings and carefully scripted reality TV.

This is my second book by Ms. Torres.....the first being "The Ghostwriter" and honestly I think that I am fast becoming a fan of her interesting stories and great writing .....her heroines I especially relate to as they are flawed but lovable .
Dual POV....light on the romance....a fast and thoroughly enjoyable read.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this delight! Deliciously fun and frothy. My only regret was that I wasn’t poolside while enjoying it!

If you've read an Alessandra Torre book, you know exactly what to expect. A strong plot with lots of steamy scenes between the main character. This one was defiantly different than her usual writing, more innocent, in the sense it had more to do with all the drama surrounding the characters than the intimate relationship between them.

The F list is an enemy-to-lovers story about Emma and Cash who took the social media frenzy to a whole new level. Living the life of a celebrity isn't always pretty when you're basically told what to wear, say, eat and how to live in order for you to climb up the status ladder. Being casted in a scripted reality show that put six media influencers in one house for two month while their lives are broadcasted for everyone to ridicule, brought out so many personal feelings and struggles both characters have faced since they were little.

It took me a while to get into this story because I couldn't connect with Emma's character on so many level. It got interesting for me when the whole reality show started to film where the full on drama began. *I received a digital advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Oof, this one did not work for me at all. I loved the synopsis, I think that having social media influencers is a really intriguing plot. But I struggled so so much with the writing. I’ve heard her older backlist is very different from this one, I plan to try one of those to see if they work for me better. Unfortunately for this one I struggled so much I DNF at 12%

A good book... Yes there isn't any sex scenes in it... But the sexual chemistry between Emma and Cash more than makes up for it... And how sweet is Wesley!! Goes to show us that what we think about someone maybe not the truth.. example being Cash's mom... And Emma's parents weren't any better.. a page turner...

The F List was like a breath of fresh air,and exactly what I needed to escape from the pandemic for a few hours. It was quite a departure from the Innocence trilogy, and instead was more flirty and fun like Love Chloe or even Hollywood Dirt, Still, it managed to pack a punch regarding the way so many people these days are so wrapped up in their social media feeds that they seem to have forgotten how to distinguish reality from fantasy and the only way they know how to measure their self-worth is by the number of followers and likes they can wrack up. As a person who shuns social media as much as possible, that world is pretty foreign to me, yet the author did a great job of bringing it into my living room with this romance between Emma, a rather self-absorbed young woman who wants nothing more than to be famous, and Cash, “Hollywood royalty” with a well-known and beloved actress mother, who has lived his entire life in the spotlight and knows exactly how to play the game. In a bit of a twist, Emma is the one that everyone loves to hate, while Cash is a genuinely nice guy who is able to see past Emma’s shell to the vulnerable person underneath the brittle surface. As always, I love how Alessandra draws the reader into her story and makes it impossible to put down.

I completely and utterly loved this book !!! It's highly addictive, totally entertaining and a wonderful 5 star read.

Enma is a sweet girl just looking to be accepted. Cash is simply looking for a real normal life. These two can create so much chaos just trying to find acceptance. When all they need to do is look to each other.

I love thier banter back and forth. Thier antics, well mostly Emma's antics but either way the antics were great!!!!

I'm not much of a reality watcher, I do have a couple secret indulgence, but overall it all seems to scripted to me. But the House of Fame with these two characters would be one I would watch!!

Seriously I love this book!!!

The characters are amazing, both, really everyday people just trying to make it in the world. Wesley was a great side character although he did play a big role. He was sweet, and you couldn't help but love him. I love that he grounded Emma, that he made her feel real.

The angst in the end was perfection. The no sex from Alessandra was completely different, but it just worked foe this one. The sexual chemistry between Emma and Cash was perfect just as it was.

This story was everything I needed but just didnt know I needed it. Have I said how much I loved this book!!!

I look forward to more stories from Alessandra.

This book was just not to my taste at all. It was very confusing the way it was written out and I could not get into the characters.

If you felt unnoticed all your life and suddenly had the means to change that- what would you do? Who you change your appearance? Hire a manager? Stage dates and run-ins with famous people? And Is being noticed by any means really worth it?

If you enjoy light reads with interesting and unique plots and flawed characters who grow on you, then you should definitely check this books out.

What an interesting look at the world of fame and fortune. I definitely liked that it followed more of the dark side of the industry.

This book follows Cash and Emma. Cash was born into the life while Emma had to claw and fight for her followers. They both go through ups and downs of being in the public eye.

Another aspect that I really enjoyed was that I felt the romance between the two characters without there being a ton of intimacy and no sex. No spoilers but I loved the ending!
