When two American journalists are about to be kidnapped she doesn't hesitate to defend them and gets taken too. Now she has to find a way get them all rescued.

Former Navy SEAL, Dylan Cruz, is now an operative with Cobra International Security and has been tasked with the rescue of Sister Maria and the journalists. He and his team are way, way undercover in this op and are amazed when the beautiful sister supplies them with the intel necessary to pull off the extraction. Then it all goes FUBAR when Sister Maria and Dylan are separated from the others an miss their helo ride out.

Being on the run with a beautiful woman is not what Dylan had in mind and the "nun" is causing havoc in his mind, and other body parts. He is going to hell, for sure. The premise was very interesting and the first few chapters were very intense however having read the other books in the series I felt that this one was just too similar to the others.

4 stars-HARD EDGE is the fourth instalment in Pamela Clare's contemporary, adult COBRA ELITE erotic, military, romantic suspense series

The action is non-stop, pretty much from page one till done! Loved it

I love this series. It's filled with adventure, suspense and romance. The men are charming but deadly and the women smart and dangerous.
Hard Edge is no exception. I was drawn into this action packed read immediately. Gaby and Dylan are perfect together running through Venezuela trying to escape the country.
They had an immediate connection but couldn't act on it. This tension between them worked. It helped bring this couple together.
I also liked how they worked together and used their specialized skills to get them out of a jamb added to my like of the book.
I'm looking forward to reading more about this goup!

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.

With her latest story, Pamela Clare delivers a hooking tale presented to readers on electrifying roller coaster ride with big side of steamy sexiness.

Gabriela Marquez’s first solo mission as a CIA operative was working as an undercover nun in Venezuela. Her objective was to get proof that a political person of interest from Venezuela had strong ties with the biggest Colombian drug cartel. But when a raid threatens to take two US journalists hostage she hopelessly tries to intervene make herself a hostage as well. Can she maintain her cover, finish her assignment and help get the hostages free?

Ex-Navy SEAL Dylan Cruz is no stranger to dangerous situations. Being sent to appraise a hostage situation in a foreign country should be a walk in the park especially when the gorgeous nun keeps giving them actionable intel.

When the rescue goes sideways though, and he finds himself stuck in enemy territory alongside the tempting Sister, they must work together to cross the Columbian border. As their situation gets more dangerous by the minute and Gabriela is allowed to reveal herself, the attraction between them burns with hot with desire, but can they avoid getting caught by the man who wants them dead?

Gabriela was a kickass heroine. She’s incredibly brave, smart and cool while facing the barrel of a gun and was the perfect match for Dylan who is tough and protective.

The suspense is nerve-wracking and the romance is scorching hot, which is why I love going back to the Cobra Elite group again and again. Pamela Clare expertly balances the tempting chemistry and romance with the escalating danger full of action. While Gabriela and Dylan try to evade murderous criminals in hostile territory, they also provocatively explore their desire. Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down.

Hard Edge is book #4 of the Cobra Elite series by author Pamela Clare. It’s written from both points of view with a happy ending.

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down, nonstop action and heroics with a side of some super sexy romance.

Gabriela is an undercover CIA agent in Venezuela. She is acting as a nun and jumps in when two reporters are kidnapped for ransom. She is kidnapped with them.

Dylan is a former SEAL now working for Cobra and is sent in with his team to rescue the hostages.

Gabriela is able to help the rescue, but she and Dylan are separated from the others and have to make their own way to Columbia to be taken back to the US.

Gabriela and Dylan have to escape drug lords, corrupt government officials and more. It was so good, I loved her I-Team books so much and I think this series is even better.

Hard Edge is the fourth in this action packed world traveling Cobra Elite Series by Pamela Clare. This time a Cobra operative is on his way to South America to a country with a history of unrest. No surprise that hostages have been taken but as Dylan Cruz gets to know one hostage there is much unexpected. There is more to Sister Marie than meets the eye.

Gabriela Marquez plays her undercover role well. I liked this intelligent woman who did the job of a nun helping the people anyway she could. While playing the role and while doing her real job for the CIA she does good. Dylan Cruz likes her too. Their connection is strong but will they made it back to the US to be able to see if it is lastly. Their flight and fight for survival is one riveting read.

If there are fans of romantic suspense like me, then Pamela Clare’s books should be on your list. Dylan and Gabriela in Hard Edge are great characters in a great story.

I received an ARC of the book from the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hard Edge, is so full of suspense that there's something new almost every page. I love the way that Dylan and Gabriela compliment each other so well. Neither would have made it out alive without the other,

Full review to be published online in early June.

The fourth book in Pamela Clare’s intriguing ‘Cobra Elite’ series, HARD EDGE was another great read, with what felt like an authenticity for the situation. The main characters, Gabrielle and Dylan, were well rounded and interesting, the plot fun, and the sexy scenes were steaming hot. With Pamela Clare you know that you will always get a great RS/Romance read.

First of all I have to agree with what another reviewer said This is a book where you are imparted with information so you are learning without even realising it as you whizz through a book that grabs you from almost the first poage and never lets you Go I have read all of the Cobra Elite books and have loved every one of them and this latest offering was no exception

Dylan Cruz and his team mates are on a highly classifies mission to Venezuela they have to rescue two journalists held captive When the mission goes pear shaped Dylan is left behind by his crew along with a American nun Sister Maria but is she who she seems to be no in fact she is Gabriella Marquez, an undercover CIA operative who has returned to her parents homeland on a mission to track local drug traffickers. Now Dylan and Gabriella must work together as they try to cross the border to safety and all the time Dylan is fighting his lust for a nun until the secret is spilled Can they survive when the cartel is hot on their trail.

When is the last time you've read a book that featured a CIA agent undercover as a nun? I'm guessing never! Once again, Pamela Clare has delivered a fantastic romantic suspense novel in the Cobra series. This book can totally be read as a stand alone. It features two great main characters, one the undercover nun and the other the operative sent in to rescue her. I like that while Gabriella is a woman that can fend for herself, she is not a hard-edged agent. After all she has been posing as a nun for over a year. Nor is Dylan someone unable to ask for help when needed. Together they make a great team as they try to escape the cartels and maybe find love on the way. Just like other books I've read by Pamela Clare, once you start reading, you get sucked into the action and it is difficult to put the book down.

I love this author's kick arse heroines. Sister Maria was not what she seemed as Dylan would soon find out.
I was glued to this book and couldn't wait for each chapter to continue the story. Plenty of action and heartstopping moments.
I also learned various Spanish swearwords lol.
Great plot and wonderful characters, I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely love a heroine who can kick some serious butt. While Gabriela is young and newish to her job, I loved how brave, calm and steady she was in the face of danger. I am so happy the author gave her more of a role in the danger scenes as well. I wanted to see her in action and I got that.

Gabriela being tough did not take away from Dylan being just as tough. I enjoyed seeing how Dylan and his team worked together to stakeout and rescue. I thought the author did a great job of making that an exciting part of the story.

I thought Gabriela and Dylan were a great match. I didn't particularly like their first intimacy together only because it felt a bit cold. Dylan has betrayal in his past and that worked heavily in his approach to his interest in Gabriela. It did make sense to his character.

Each book has the same vibe with exciting plots while still being unique to themselves. I don't feel like I am reading the same book over and over. I'm really enjoying this whole series and hope there are many more to come.

Gabriela is a CIA agent undercover as a nun in Venezuela. She works in a mission feeding the poor and spying on a drug cartel. While protecting a journalist and her photographer from the Andes Cartel, they all get taken. Dylan is a former SEAL but now works for Cobra International Security and is one of the guys sent on recon to where three American hostages are held. But when it goes sideways, Dylan and Gabriela are on their own running from the cartel. Dylan was burned once by a woman but the second he sees Gabriela, he knows she’s special but he believes she’s a nun so that’s a big no no. They must get to Colombia before the cartel gets to them first.
Great story with action and sex. Two people trying to escape a drug cartel and fight their feelings toward each other. Another story with will take you away from all that’s happening.

This book deserves a "wow"! I like all of Pamela Clare's books and I love several of them. This falls into the latter category. Gabi is a CIA agent who is deep undercover working an operation in Venezuela. Her cover is that is Sr. Maria Catalina, a nun who works serving the poor. Sr. Maria is kidnapped while in the company of two US journalists. Dylan Cruz works for a private security company, Cobra International and he's part of the team tasked with rescuing the three hostages.

Dylan is captivated when he first sees a picture of Sr. Maria, and he's pretty uncomfortable with looking at a nun that way. Hard Edge takes the reader on a wild ride through a couple of countries starting with the first time Gabi meets Dylan until their HEA. The first three-quarters of the book is a solid 5-stars but it loses half a star imho because the last quarter dragged a bit. The story is well-edited and well-told with very interesting characters. Cobra doesn't know about Gabi's cover and their kind treatment of Sr. Maria is heartwarming. The Cobra brotherhood is as strong as in the other books in this series. Gabi is amazing, has a strong moral compass, and no one should underestimate her. Dylan grows to respect her brain and her savvy making them a well matched couple. The bedroom scenes, which happen when important info has been disclosed, are scorching hot but not over the top. <Swoon, sigh.> The nun angle added an unexpected nuance to the book and I appreciate the sensitive manner in which the author handles prayer. I also appreciate that Gabi was all woman when the habit came off. I completely enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Thanks to NetGalley for gifting me an ARC, but this is one that I'll buy in order to support the author.

When I think of Romantic Suspense, Pamela Clare is usually at the top of that list. I hadn't read anything by her in awhile so when an opportunity to read Hard Edge came up, I jumped on it. This story follows Gabi, a CIA operative undercover as a nun in Venezuela, and Dylan who is part of the Cobra team sent there to rescue her and two American reporters that have been abducted. I found the book entertaining and enjoyable. I wanted more buildup and tension between Gabi and Dylan but I liked how they worked together and that the action in the book was essentially non-stop. While this was not my favorite from Clare, she is still a great story-teller and I would be happy to read another from her again.

This is the romantic suspense book I have been waiting to read! It is pretty much non-stop action from start to finish. I also loved that most of the tension in Gabi and Dylan's relationship comes from outside and the tension from their past and between them is resolved by them actually (gasp) talking!

Gabi is a CIA operative in deep cover as a nun in a Venezuela. She is trying to find a solid connection between a drug cartel and the Venezuelan government. She gets caught up in a kidnapping of American journalists by the minions of a very nasty relative of the current Venezuelan president. She is smart and a gifted actress. She works every angle and continues to find advantages as she works to help the hostages while still getting the information she needs for her mission.

Dylan is a former Navy Seal who has some serious trust issues. He is extremely skilled and a man of action. He is sent in with a team to rescue the hostages and get separated from the rest of the team when a bad guy tries to leave with Gabi.

That is where their adventure takes off. Both of them are impressive - and have complementary skills. I think the action in the book was exciting and over-the-top (just the way I like it!) and the romance is sexy and emotionally charged.

This is a great read and well worth the time for fans of romantic suspense. This isn't the first book in the series - but you can 100% read it as a standalone.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley but these opinions are all my own.

I really enjoyed this story. Dylan and Gabriela both have secrets and layers, and some awful circumstances brought them together. They both need to trust each other and themselves to get off of so many radars that’s it’s hard to figure out which end is up or who to believe. But I’d they want to survive, they’ll have to work together to make it out of the mess they’re in, and if they happen to find serious attraction and maybe even love along the way, then maybe it’s all been worth the stress and worry.

I didn’t realize until I started this book that it’s part of a series, but that didn’t keep me from knowing all of the important players, nor did I find myself lost among subplots. There were a few “Spanish” words that aren’t truly Spanish, but the author was close enough to the actual word that it didn’t bother me too much. Overall, she provided a very good read that kept me on my toes from start to finish.

This is the fourth book in this fascinating series by Ms. Clare. Dylan Cruz, former SEAL, and members of the Cobra Elite are setting off on a secret mission to Venezuela. Two Americans and a nun have been taken hostage and the Americans are being held for ransom. Gabriela Marquez “aka Sister Maria Catalina” has been working undercover for the CIA and as a “nun” may be able to protect the hostages. The action is non-stop as Dylan and his team set up a rescue, but things don’t always go as planned. He and Sister Maria will need to fight for their lives and make their way to safety. After Dylan realizes that Sister Maria is actually Gabriela, there is no stopping the red-hot attraction. As danger follows them, Dylan can count on Gabriela to have his back. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

ARC received for review

4.5 starts

Another great Cobra Elite novel. I think Dylan fell in love with her from just looking at her picture. Gabriela was a serious bad arse woman. She helps the Cobra team rescue the hostages while putting herself in harms way again and again. There are lots of near misses on the way out of the country, plus lots of hot sex. Can't wait to see who falls next.
