It's not funny as it is just real life antics of adopting a kitten and falling in love with her. I think any cat lover and owner would absolutely love this book. It's heartwarming and really portrays the life as a cat parent really well!

I loved it and I think Netgalley and Oni Press for the digital free ARC

This was the most adorable series of comics. I have never heard of the web comic before, so it was all entirely new to me. The art was really cute, and a lot of the content made me laugh as it captures the personality of cats so perfectly. I liked that there was a good mix of some silly unrealistic panels, and genuine interactions with Frankie. Really sweet and great to put a smile on any cat owners face.

I loved this so much!

First of all the art style is adorable. The images are clear and the colours are well chosen so the images are well to look at and no confusion is caused.
The story line is very relatable to any pet owner. Getting a new pet with all the excitement around it. Getting it a bed, the food, having to bathe it, And many more scenarios. I loved that this comic wasn't written in one long plotline but rather short scenarios but together still making a story, I thought it was very clever.

I loved Frankie and 10/10 I would get a cat like him (If I could choose a cats personality). I think many people who have or have owned a cat will probably get to relate to a lot of the scenarios in this book and I think that's cute.

I loved it and I would definitely read more volumes if there were more :D

This is a comic collection about a couple who adopt a lost cat. Their lives are more chaotic and more full of warmth once the cat, Frankie, comes into their lives. It's an adorable collection and I am going to be recommending it to my students for sure!

FRANKIE COMICS was a cute, charming collection of vignettes (originally webcomics) about life with a cat. This is not a graphic novel with an overarching story, but rather a compendium of independent slice-of-life comics. The art style is attractive, easy to interpret, and fun. People who live with cats will recognize many of Frankie's foibles on these pages. Although this book is aimed at an adult audience (the human characters are adults living in an apartment) it will be appealing to many younger readers and will likely find a place in my school library when it is published.

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the most accurate form of media I have seen that describes what it's like being a cat parent. The art style is fun and makes it even feel more of an accurate representation of cat parent life.

This was really cute! Frankie Comics is a comic collection written by Rachel Dukes about themselves, their spouse, but mostly their shared cat: Frankie. The artist has a distinctive style of drawing, and I appreciated that they made it realistic in ways by including their armpit and leg hair, for example. The individual comics are short and sweet. When I read a comic book I would personally prefer it if it was one complete story, instead of a collection, which I also would be able to find on the author's Instagram. All in all, I liked this and would recommend you check it out if you enjoy comics about cute cats and their owners/parents.

It feels like these comics are popping up like mushrooms -- with cat/dog (or any other pets) as the main character but I am not complaining one bit...keep those coming. Good for happy goody feelings...

I got this copy from NetGalley but it is kind of free -

*Thanks to Netgalley for this eARC.

I don't know what made me pick this book up. It might just be the desperation to add something to my read list. I could read this book really quick. It was a decent book. It featured everyday problems and stuff that cat owners face. The artwork was fairly attractive and catchy. Some instances made me chuckle, though. It was a good read.

This collection of comics about Frankie the kitty from Rachel Dukes is just so so sooooooo cute! Absolutely perfect little pieces of life with a cat stories. The art style is adorable & everything that happens with Frankie & her owners is so relatable if you, yourself, have experience with cats. I have 3 and every comic had me nodding, giggling, & telling my babies "hey! look! Frankie's just like you!"

I also love how the end of the book has tips on becoming a cat parent including online resources for cat cafes, adoption info, & places to donate or volunteer at to help other cats! highly recommend this one to any cat lover, 100%

thank you to netgalley for the ebook to review!

My twelve-year-old son, an avid cat fan, mowed through this book in just under an hour.

While he really enjoyed it, and stopped me several times to point out things he found hilarious, it wasn't his "favorite" book / comic to read.

When I pressed him for more details, he said it was missing something... and he left it at that.

When I reviewed the book briefly, I realized it was too literal, lacking irreverence that we both enjoy in this kind of story.

Still wonderful and fun to read, we wouldn't read further about the adventures of said kitty.

We both also questioned the title; it didn't reflect the contents of the book.

This was cute. The images are very simple, and the reading is very easy. I wouldn't say that it's enough necessarily to be an entire book's worth of reading. My kids and I read it very quickly. It wasn't memorable, but it was fun. I think cat-lovers will enjoy this even more.

A typical book of cartoons about Life With a Cat, but a very accomplished one all the same. Here is the young cat scared to death by the fact its toy does not move, here is the cat getting in the way of using the laptop, here is, er, some of its bodily motions and ejecta. This is a quick read, with most of the contents two pages (a couple are longer), and while there is a definite sense of deju vu, the accomplished style here is not always found in similar books, and neither actually is the hit rate of recognisable yet comical episodes. So this is standard, but above standard in quality, at the same time.

This was my first introduction to the eponymous cat Frankie, but Rachel Dukes has been creating these playful, funny and relatable cartoons for a number of years. I really enjoyed Dukes' illustration style and all the tiny details and design choices that make the characters spring to life. Frankie's big personality comes shining off the page - whether begging for food at the dinner table, wanting to get her nose into everything or avoiding bath time - and really made me smile.

I completely loved this super cute little graphic novel. It totally took my mind off everything going on in the world right now and was just so accurate to life with a new pet. The art style is gorgeous and I could reread this one a million times and not get bored its just so sweet.

Thanks to NetGalley and Oni Press for providing an advanced copy of this comic collection in exchange for an honest review.

Frankie Comics is a loving and likely autobiographical tale of artist couple, Rachel and Mike finding a sweet blue-point Siamese named Frankie. The illustrations are adorable and a lot of Frankie's mannerisms reminds me of my Siamese, Misty. It really hit a nostalgia button for me.

Not only do you get to experience the first few months after the couple found Frankie, but you also get to see how having a furry friend can shape your life. I really enjoyed all of Frankie's antics, most cat owners will see their own cats reflected in Frankie from begging for food to waking you up in the morning, usually asking for food.

What I really loved about the comic is that it doesn't only tell a story, but at the end there is a section about owning a cat and resources for people to adopt along with what to expect when you do adopt a cat. If you aren't looking to adopt it also lists ways that you can help through volunteering or donations!

This is perfect for any cat lover. It really warmed my heart and put a smile on my face.

If you are have a cat or enjoy cats, you must get this book!  The cartoons are so sweet and cat folks will recognize just how true the human/cat interactions are.  I smiled over and over again as I made my way through this book; I don't think that there is a higher recommendation than that.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.
