The book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown emphasises the importance of focusing on our priorities and eliminating non-essential items and activities from our lives. By doing this, we can invest our time and energy in meaningful activities that bring purpose and satisfaction.

I think everyone will benefit from focusing on what truly matters and embracing the idea of less but better.

It can help you:

- gain more clarity by identifying the essential and non-essential things in your life.
- make better decisions about how you spend your time and energy
- achieve more by doing less of the non-essentials
- take control of your choices, instead of letting other people's agenda control you

This books is an essential read for anyone seeking to declutter their life, make better decisions, and focus on what truly matters.

"Everything changes when we give ourselves permission to be more selective in what we choose to do." (Greg McKeown, Essentialism)

Essentially, this book tells you how to keep prioritising and avoid over committing.

It did read like a very long blog post but there were good points.

Think about what you have control over snd can impact, try not to worry about things that might likely never happen, try to live in the now.

I think all common sense but sometimes we need a book to remind us!

A life-changing book! I first read Essentialism when it was first published and it completely changed the way I think. This is one of the most important books that I have ever read on how to live and lead your life "by design , not by default". I read it at least once a year to inspire me and remind me on the importance of finding and cultivating only the essentials in my life. Fantastically written, with a ton of real life examples from the business world, I highly recommend this book. I rate it 5 unputdownable and life-changing stars!

This can be one of the most important non fiction novel for the modern time. Since the evolution of internet, we have seen an overload of information and opportunities. Today saying being busy makes you sound cool. But are we really being productive by being busy?
This book will help you detox your life with all the non essentials. The book flows down beautifully with description of Essentialism and why we need it, then it takes on a journey to teach you how to find the non essentials in your life by helping you differentiate between what is important and what is not and then shows you how to eliminate those non essentials from your life.
This knowledge from this book is applicable from sorting your wardrobe to sorting your life and career. The author does a brilliant job of capturing the importance of essentialism to show us what's behind the closed door of simple life. He does his best to help you to prioritise your life and get you detached from non essentials like work which you don't feel like doing but you do just to make other people happy.
After reading this book Being Essentialist will be the new Mantra of your life rather than Being Busy.

A really interested and detailed look at the life of an essentialist and how the average non-essentialist can transition their lives. I think that this book was written in a very understandable manner, it's very easy to read and isn't forceful and the ideals are not forced upon the reader. I really enjoyed the writing of Greg McKeown, I feel as though I'm not more in tuned with what it means to be an essentialist.

"Greg McKeown teaches you how to discipline your life and take the reins of your life in your own hands."

So do you think that you can't get the most out of your life? Or perhaps you are unable to get the satisfactory result compared to the efforts you're putting in? Have you ever found yourself struggling with information overload? Or do feel overworked and underutilized? Well if these make you say "Hey! That's me" then search no more. Greg McKeown, CEO of a Leadership and Strategy agency in Silicon Valley brings you his latest book 'essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less', In this book he teaches you how to discipline your life and take the reins of your life in your own hands.

For me, this book was marvellous, though I am not much a reader of self-help books (all I've read up till now is The subtle art of not giving a f*ck by Mark Manson and Srimad Bhagwat Gita), the description was quite alluring, it read, Have you ever found yourself struggling with information overload?, Have you ever felt both overworked and underutilised, Do you ever feel busy but not productive? Well, I answered 'yes' to all of them. I am always busy, right from the morning to the night, studying, writing, reading and at the end of the day I felt incredibly tired and often both emotionally and physically burned out, but I never received the result which I expected and compared to the amount of work I'd put in it would often dishearten me. Then one day I found this book in my feed recommendations and I was like 'yeah why not, let's try it' and I must admit it changed the way I think and perceive the situations around me. The author uses daily-life inspired examples (which I have no idea if they are true events or mere fictional examples penned by the author) but it made me understand what and why I need to change something. Though I try not to mention what written in the book (that would be plagiarism) but as the author calls it 'essentialism' will totally change your life, it will make you productive by changing your lifestyle and modifying the way you perceive and approach a situation.

Highly recommended by me!
