Cinderella’s Royal Secret is written by M&B stalwart Lynne Graham and published by M&B Modern. Izzy meets Crown Prince Rafik whilst working as a housekeeper. She is running late and is behind in her housekeeping schedule and Rafik walks out of the shower and straight into her. There is immediate chemistry between the pair and they spend the night together. Subsequently Izzy discovers she is pregnant. Not knowing he is Sheikh of Zenara she goes to inform him he is going to be a father. Rafik always thought he couldn’t father a child so he is determined to hold on to them both.
This is an enjoyable read. With the secret Royal Wedding baby etc with a Cinderella tidy as Izzy has been working as a housekeeper. Both the characters are complex. Izzy is loyal to family and determined to work hard, hence earning money for her family whilst working as a housekeeper and studying at the same time. Rafik is a very closed off character who doesn’t know how to show emotion.

I was delighted to be approved to read this book. I so enjoy Lynne Graham’s books! This did not dis appoint. Quiet reserved studious Izzy cleaning to support her family and then she meets Rafiq and the story really begins. Such interesting characters make a really entrancing read that I couldnt put the book down!

I gave this book 4.5 stars, I really enjoyed it!! The main characters were super likeable and he was an absolute gem with her (and also super hot). I only knocked off half a star as I would've preferred more angst at times, it was overly sweet. I really liked Izzy's attitude, how she strode off at the airport saying she is pregnant with the sheik's child! It was a moment! And he was so excited about the possibility of the baby and really looked well after her.

Totally recommended!

A very real Cinderella story!
Izzy meets Rafiq while working as a cleaner in the apartment he’s renting and they spend a night together thanks to undeniable chemistry. Only thing is Izzy gets pregnant but what she doesn’t know is that Rafiq is the heir to the throne of Zenara
I liked Izzy as a character, she will do anything to help her family and is cleaning to try to make ends meet. She is strong and determined as well as being so normal and down to earth. Her behaviour is all linked to her family which includes her unborn twins and she would do anything to protect them, even moving to another country and possibly marrying Rafiq so her children can be heirs to the throne, but even then she still wants to train to be a teacher
Rafiq is totally taken aback by Izzy and it was interesting to see him on the back foot and not totally in control as he likes to be. He has a complicated past which makes him a very deep character and harder to understand. At almost every turn there is something else that the reader learns about him which enhances your perception of him
I think a big part of what I liked about this story is that it is possible. It’s possible for a normal person to fall in love with and marry a prince. You don’t have to have a privileged background but instead you just have to be yourself which has given me hope!
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a Cinderella story with fabulous characters

Another enjoyable story from Lynne Graham with likeable characters and a good plot line. Izzy and Rafiq would be unlikely to meet under normal circumstances, but Izzy running late on her cleaning rounds throws her into the path of Rafiq, and, not knowing who he really is, they form a connection. From the outset, the reader is drawn into the lives of the characters and you do find yourself invested in what will become of their relationship. The closing chapters as the barriers Rafiq has put up around his heart come crashing down are well written and the road to a happy ending for the two is well created. The teases about Izzy's sister Maya also provide intrigue for the second book in this duet.
Overall, an easy romantic read written in Lynne Graham's signature style.

I read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts and opinions are mine

Lynne Graham is one of those authors that I automatically pick up if I see one of her books I haven't read. This is another great one

Read in one sitting, and loved it - you can't want more than that for a book I think !!!

Lynne Graham has been an autobuy for me for the past couple of decades so I was thrilled to be approved for an early peek at this. I'm delighted to say it didn't disappoint. Read in one sitting because I couldn't put it down.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Izzy's life is full of studying and working, she feels like Cinderella, especially when she inadvertently meets the VIP, whose room she's supposed to clean. One magical night in a life governed by duty is all Rafiq allows himself. Fate intervenes, forcing another unexpected meeting with life-changing consequences.

Izzy is impulsive and wants to live life in the present and escape for a little while. Attraction overcomes naivety where Rafiq is concerned. Emotionally damaged, Rafiq doesn't fit the royal stereotype but is determined to honour his heritage.

Izzy's character develops positively in difficult and unfamiliar circumstances. Rafiq hides painful childhood memories to protect Izzy. Like all good fairytales, this has a happy ending.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Izzy has no time for romance, with studying to pass her exams and working to earn money to help her family out she has no time left over, so when she runs late to her cleaning job she panics as if her company find out she will be fired....Surely she has time to complete the job before the guests arrive. But then she meets the mystery man in the bathroom, will he tell on her or will he make a proposal to save her job?

Izzy is immediately taken by the strangers good looks and easy charm and convinces herself she deserves one night to treat herself, but when her one night turns into becoming pregnant she must decided what to do so sets off to confront her mystery Bathroom Guy.

I really enjoyed this story, I found the characters easy to care about and wanted to find out what happened and hoped that they would get their own happy ever after.

Likeable with a few issues
3 Stars

Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a Mills & Boon - and more specifically a Mills & Boon about a handsome sheikh (okay fine, so he’s a crown prince) and the virginal British girl that he steals away to live in his desert kingdom. Sigh. And for the most part, that’s what you get with this book.

Our couple have their “meet cute” in the form of our heroine, Izzy, coming into the bathroom to clean it just as our hero, Rafiq, steps out of the shower! In a bind, Rafiq asks if Izzy can cook, as well as clean for him - hence the Cinderella aspect of the story.

Rafiq is less sheikhy (totally a word) than I expected. Still with an air of authority and alpha entitlement, but not so dictatorial and old-fashioned as I would have assumed. And I loved the fact that he was a little bit emotionally damaged, the poor baby. I just wanted to give him a big hug - very little of which was because of the fact he’s ridiculously good looking! He was a bit of a sweetheart and I did like him.

My feelings for Izzy were a little bit more fuzzy. Not the character’s fault but when Rafiq sets eyes on her he notes she barely looks like a woman - more like a young girl. That’s just…icky! He changes his mind quite quickly but can we please stop using this to show our heroine is young, petite, small etc? It doesn’t sit well with me.

I can imagine it’s difficult to write a character with a bit of back bone, grit and determination without having her come across as, well, too much. Izzy wasn’t too much - but I did feel confused by her. Was she this shy, virginal girl - or the mouthy, irreverent seductress? Despite this confusion, I was starting to like Izzy more and more - and cheered her spirit in standing up to Rafiq - and going after him when she found herself pregnant. Then the issue of where their offspring would live came up and any liking I had for Izzy went right out the window. What an immature brat she was. It’s one thing to have a character say something, it’s another for their inner monologue to show that they believe it to be true. Really disappointing and from there I felt Rafiq could have/should have chosen someone closer to his age (28) than this immature 21 year old.

There was a nice lick of heat with the story - more than I’ve come to expect from this line. It wasn’t erotica by any stretch, but I was pleasantly surprised. It also helped that Izzy and Rafiq had good chemistry and you could feel their growing desire and love for each other in their actions.

The story was simple and focussed on the love story of Rafiq and Izzy - how they met, got pregnant and then fell in love - overcoming their issues on the way. There were a couple of flowery moments where it felt like words - or sometimes whole sentences - were fed into a thesaurus and changed to appear more fancy. It wasn’t necessary and at times it made sentence structure a bit clumsy and somewhat convoluted. As I said, a shame because the story was eminently readable and I rattled through it for the most part.

There was also some head hopping going on - sometimes changing after 2-3 paragraphs with no notice of a change of perspective. It was dizzying and again led to re-reading some passages once it became apparent we were in someone else’s head than I had initially realised.

I feel like I’ve been a bit moany with this review - but I did very much enjoy this book. It delivers what it sets out to deliver and you will speed through it in no time. There’s also a nice tease about Izzy’s twin sister, Maya, and her own story, which I’m assuming will be Book 2 in the Once Upon a Temptation series of which this is the first. If you enjoy Mills & Boon Modern stories, Lynne Graham’s writing or just want whisked away with a sheikh fantasy (yeah, yeah crown prince) then you will likely enjoy this story. 3 stars from me.

I loved this book. It was like stepping into a romantic fairytale and was exactly what I needed as sometimes real life can feel too gritty. I am wondering if there will be another book for Izzy's sister and am going to be looking out for that. Lynne Graham is a Mills and Boon author I have read and loved over the years and I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you want to step into a romantic world where true love is possible.

Meeting a freshly showered man while working. Taking advantage of and recognising a strong attraction, resulting in a surprise pregnancy, that produces a double whammy, two for one.

The father is a prince, so a discreet wedding is arranged in an agreed marriage of convenience, that turns to a truly committed relationship of true love.

With a happy ever after ending in this romantic, love story.

From Cinderella to his Queen, 5 Stars 🌟

Already running late, following what she feels was a disastrous first exam that morning; Izzy Campbell is desperate to get to her cleaning job before the arrival of the VIP client, for if the agency finds out she was late she would most certainly be sacked. Therefore, finding the most beautiful man she has ever seen coming out of the shower (she is meant to be cleaning) leaves innocent Izzy mortified and yet instantly attracted!

Crown Prince Rafiq Al Rahman of Zenara is only in the UK for 24 hours before returning home to Zenara to honor his promise to his uncle (the Regent) to marry. But a minor accident at the airport means two thirds of his guards and chef have been hospitalised; so when Rafiq arrives at the penthouse he is tired and hungry and finding a strange women walking into his bathroom as he is finishing his shower is a complication he doesn't need or is she his last chance to enjoy his freedom before going home and honouring his promise?

But when Izzy and the consequences of their amazing night follow Rafiq back to Zenara can the unexpected consequences of their one night together bring them both the HEA they deserve!

Ms Lynne Graham is a USA Today Bestselling Author of over 100 romance novels and has sales of over 42 million books; her books are always well written with passionate storylines and emotionally engaging characters. Her latest book Cinderella's Royal Secret (which can be enjoyed as a standalone in it's own right) is book one of the Mills and Boon author collaboration, Once Upon a Temptation, and it is a great introduction to the new collaboration.

So if you enjoy a desert romance then Rafiq and Izzy's story is the perfect light read, the only downside is I wish the book had been longer! But on a more positive note the tempting references to Izzy's sister Maya hints at a potentially intriguing story to come soon?

For your information, I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders however, this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.

4 – "There is only one you…" Stars!

I love me a good old unplanned pregnancy story, add in a Sheikh and a far away Desert Kingdom and I'm in escapist heaven.

As always Lynne Graham delivers everything you would expect from a story of this type, with plenty to character, emotion and sexy times. Experienced and and emotionally closed off Rafiq, is well and truly put in his placed by straight talking albeit inexperienced Izzy, and I devoured every page of their story.

You know what you are getting with a M&B/Hqn title, this one delivers exactly what you are looking for, and in great style too, I might add!
