Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I read this in my garden in one sitting, a real feel good summer sort of book. Loved it.

Hetty is a dynamo! I enjoyed having a heroine who knew her goals, set them, and goes after them. She doesn’t let barriers stand in her way. When she decides that the help her event-planning business needs is for her to resuscitate that strawberry festival in her attractive tourist town in England, she leaps into action to get the Thornhill family to allow her to host the festival on their land. And when taciturn and arrogant John Thornhill turns her down, she doesn’t give up. She convinces him that this would be a win-win situation for the both of them. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s quite attracted to Hetty.

John faces his own problems since his dad lost the family money in a risky investment and now he’s tasked almost single-handedly with earning enough money to keep their family estate from falling down about their ears.

Once John agrees to host the festival, he and Hetty start falling for each other while planning for the event.

While they make a lovely couple and Hetty is admirable and endearing, it is harder to figure out why she stuck with her old boyfriend for ten years. She just seems smarter than that. But I guess that helps set up a bit of tension in the plot rather than worrying about whether it’s going to rain on the day of the festival, something Hetty just hasn’t seemed to have planned for when it was the first thing I thought might be a problem.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley;
however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

This is the second book in the Swallowtail Bay series It can definitely be read as a standalone novel.
This is such a sweet, gentle and easygoing summer read.
The main character, Hetty is so lovely and likeable, and it was easy to be swept along the story by her enthusiasm. I managed to read the whole book when I was having a lazy and relaxing day. The location of the book is gorgeous, and sounds like a perfect place to visit. I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope that there will be another book in the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

Cute summer read, quick to get through, not too much to think about in depth. Katie Ginger’s books are always great for beach and pool reads IMO. But it was a little bit too light for my taste (maybe it’s because I’m not in the summer mindset yet!) I would read more by her!

After the end of her love affair, Hetty needs a change. She’s always been the go to party planner in Swallowtail Bay, but now she needs something more. The chance to revive the old village strawberry festival fits the bill, but time is short and with less than a month to plan, Hetty has her hands full. She manages to convince handsome and reclusive land owner, John Thornhill to let her use the grounds of his estate for the festival, so that’s one job sorted. As the festival draws closer, so do Hetty and John, even as Hetty’s old flame tries to win her back. This is sheer delightful escapist fun, what we all need right now

Oh I adore Katie's books, they are always so engaging and filled with moments to make you smile as a reader. I'm a huge fan of Katie's anyway and was really excited to read this one.
I definitely haven't been disappointed, another gorgeous cover and an even more beautiful story.
I have loved Hetty, she's a great character and her adventures throughout this one have been fantastic.
I've even loved the little love triangle that's been involved in this one. It's made a great read even more fantastic.
This has definitely been a perfect Sunday afternoon read which I haven't been able to put down. I have completely consumed this book from start to finish in just one sitting and it is without a doubt a five star read. I wish I could give this book more than five stars, this is definitely my favourite of Katie's books to date.

Fantastic summer read! Love this author and was great to catch up with the earlier characters of swallowtail bay. Hoping there is more to come with this series, involving all old and new characters.
A book to curl up and lose yourself in.
Highly recommend read and author
