Sexy dragon shifters - need I say more? Acton and adventure and a beguiling love story. Enjoyed thoroughly and will be looking for more!

Absolutely loved this book. I read it in one sitting. It was fast paced, entertaining and dirty. The main characters Had a fun back and forth dialogue. I will be looking into other books by this author.

I love this author! Kiersten Fay is very skilled in creating amazing worlds that come to life in her writing. I started reading her with the Shadow Quest Series, please check it out! This novel was a little lighter on the world around our couple, but gave us just enough set them up strong.

June, our heroine, a puny little mortal that on a hike in the woods manages to stumble across a space ship and all the sudden she's in a world full of supernatural species. Luckily June has a strong backbone and manages to hold her own.

Tristan, our hero, is in a hard place when we first meet him, his father has died and he's gone from prince to king in a short timeframe while still mourning his father. So when these two come together world's collide. Their teasing and time together is really great to see, but they do drop into bed together fairly quickly. Which again, was a great read, but Fay does verbal foreplay well, so I wish there could have been more.

All in all this was a quick light read that handled our couple well. While as I said I would have loved to see more of the world developed in this book, it was still a really great read and I look forward to future books!

From start to finish this book did not disappoint. You will find yourself experiencing gut wrenching emotions along with many highs and some lows. You will imagine this story playing out as if you are watching a movie. It is a one sitting read that you will not want to end. There are some hasty resolutions at the end of the book but hopefully more detail will be provided within the next book of the series.

I did like the characters, but I didn't really feel like I was on another planet. The story could just as well have taken place on Earth. So much that could have been explored.

I loved this sweet and tantalizing story. I'm sooo looking forward to grab the next books of this saga.

Tempting the Dragon King turned out to be way more than I expected. Who would have thought Dragons In Space could be so interesting. It had an excellent storyline and really easy to follow the flow. The characters were perfect, super-strong alpha male meets humans from Earth but she is also a strong character.
I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

My Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was steamy and sweet. I loved Tristan, he is so protective and doesn’t fight his feelings for June forever, which I appreciated. June is funny and fierce. I thought the story flowed well, it kept a good pace and was interesting and fun to read. Highly recommend!

Never has a simple walk through the woods led to a more magical adventure in space. June enters what she thinks is a cave to be whisked away in an alien craft then captured by a race of space dragons. She can't deny that she is drawn to Tristan - the newly crowned dragon king, but knows that a long term relationship is out of the question. As June and Tristan get to know one another they will need to decide if their love can withstanding a changing dragon nation and a choice about returning to earth.

This series is a spin-off of the Shadow Quest series and it was fun to see some familiar faces from the other books. If you haven't read the Shadow Quest books, you can still start with Tempting the Dragon King. The characters are engaging and the June and Tristan's relationship smolders - literally.

And... here I go again. As mentioned in the description, Tempting the Dragon King is a spin-off of the Shadow Quest series. I've only read The Demon's Possession, the first book in the Shadow Quest series. The good news is that it didn't make a lot of difference in reading Tempting the Dragon King from a confusion standpoint. One of these days I shall follow the rules! (Obviously that day will not be today.) *sigh*

Tempting the Dragon King isn't a fairytale dragon story. It's more of a shape-shifter alien story, where the kingdom is ruled by a dragon king and his family. Tristan took over as king after the unexpected death of his father. He had planned on going through with an arranged marriage until June showed up. That's when everything changed. The attraction took them both by surprise, but it was too strong for them to ignore. Things got even more complicated when rumors were spread in the kingdom that about more than the new king's love interest. Needless to say, Tempting the Dragon King was more than just a sweet romance, although that was front and center.

There were a few loose ends at the end of Tempting the Dragon King, which means I can't wait to continue the series.

I couldn't. I DNF'd this at 39%, or so my Kindle informs me. I couldn't handle any more. The weird and obtrusive "earthisms" (for lack of better description), the flat characters, and the inanity of the instalove between the two MCs were no-gos for me, and the ABUNDANCE of errors (this book has been published, so theoretically they should have been caught. By SOMEbody) stopped me cold.

Then she saw him - a massive male with a perfectly toned physique that many athletes would kill for, shoving his way through the throng of soldiers, his expression full of viscous wrath.

Disregarding the massive run-on sentence, I'm curious: how viscous was the wrath, exactly? Like slime? Gummier? Did it flow, like honey?

Chapter 5:
"I demand proof of that in the form of backed goods."

Tell me more about these backed goods. Who are they backed BY? State Farm? Allianz? AXA?

Frankly, I just felt no connection to either of the main characters. Then after they jumped IMMEDIATELY into bed, complete with "ecstasy-laden screams" and "mind-bending pleasure", "delectable scents" and "monster alien dicks" (I shit you not), and topped off by him referring to her as "Sweets", I knew I had to call it a day. Sorry, book, but I don't think you and I are gonna work out. Actually, I'll expand that to Ms. Fay: I don't think she and I are gonna work out, either. I'm sure she's just absolutely crushed. LOL.

I think I've just read too many similar titles (and ones with better grammar and characterization, and less purple vocabulary, to boot) for this book to be my particular cuppa tea.

A nice escape for a few hours. It was easy to follow too many of these types of fantasy have too much scene building to do, but this author kept pace throughout. With his father just died and his arranged marriage on his mind this king was not looking for more trouble. But when he meets the human stowaway his troubles seem to keep coming.

AMAZING!!! MUST READ!!! 5 STARS AND THEN SOME!!! I was pulled into the story that was full of romance and heart. The characters are very lovable and our hero and heroine are strong.

Just as always. You can't go wrong with a Kiersten Fay book. The characters are solid and the plot fun. I may have added a few pages to let the plot and characters fully unfold. Because sometimes it felt rushed but overall a solid good book.

This is a fast paced read that takes off where the Shadow Quest series ended. Dragon shifter royalty, a female human with a kind heart and betrayal are abundant! I enjoyed this fun and easy read.

3.5 stars - I liked it. Tempting the Dragon King is apparently a spin off of one of author Fay's other series. The book starts out like it is going to be a Dragon Shifters in space sci-fi romance, which sounded kind of neat, but really the space elements are a fairly superficial wrapper for something that has fantasy trappings -- magic, witches, a fairy like race and a demon-like one okay, they do co come from different planets than the Dragon Shifters) -- and the space elements mostly just served to get the leading lady from Earth to her Dragon King hero. Maybe the other series sets this the space elements up more solidly? Otherwise, this was a fairly sexy romance -- I am unfortunately to the skim the sex scenes portion of my reading life-- with the King falling for the human who has more backbone than it seems at the start. That said, where this shines is a great scene where he takes her flying in his dragon form and the ending, because the thing that makes a true HEA for the pair is cool in more than one sense of the word. Oh, and I liked the Dragon King's mom alot., Ultimately, this was a nice enough light romance read even though the space elements didn't add much - but hey Dragon Shifters are always a bit plus for me..

Alien Dragons in Space (yup, you read that right!)

This is not your typical dragon guards princess in a castle, people! This is a brilliantly original and futuristic look at a newly instated, slightly reckless, but totally hot dragon king who is overburdened by his responsibility to his family and his people. As if there wasn’t enough to stress the young king out, in comes a gorgeous morsel of the ‘earthling variety’ to tempt him.

Of course, no self-respecting writer would traverse time and space without throwing in some healthy star wars vs. star trek commentary now would they? Throw in some sassy but sweet dialogues with some epic one-liners and a hell of a plot twist and call me happy 🙂

The character and plot development was solid and I can definitely see myself reading more into the Dragon Lord series.

“Tempting The Dragon King Possession” by Kiersten Fay.

Admitting-ly I enjoyed this book a lot more than “The Demon’s Possession”.

The story was a lot sweeter with likable characters.

A dragon and a human unexpectedly meet and have a strange attraction to each other...

Tristan Okora, the dragon prince - now king after the tragic death of his father - is on his way to a ceremony and came in contact with a ship that is headed towards them! Is it an enemy ship?

June Juniper, a human, finds herself in a odd circumstance. She was on a hike than found herself trapped on a space ship headed to god knows where.

Than they meet.

One note - I wish the lead up to their romance and teasing went on a bit more. These interactions were fun.

Tempting The Dragon King is one of those weird reads. That though not perfect in a literary sense. Has just the right blend of likable characters, uncomplicated plot, and simple readability. That the pages just keep turning.

But...
C'est la vie...and all that.
For now, our girl June has got far bigger.
And as luck would have it, brawnier problems.
The least of which.
The gorgeous man standing in front of her with a weapon. That he has no problem using. If she doesn't give him answers to questions that she:
1. Doesn't quite understand.
2. Doesn't have answers for.

And then there is...Tristan.
Stuck for several reasons between several rocks and at least one too many hard places.
1. Dealing with his guilt about the death of his father.
2. Assuming the duties of a throne and clan politics that he never wanted.
3. A betrothal to the daughter of an allied clan.
4. The discovery of a scantly Earthing in an enemy ship.
5. His attraction to said Earthling
And so much more...

The story told in Tempting The Dragon King reads a lot like a Contemporary Romance.
At least as far as the romance between June And Tristan goes.
The rest is purely Fantasy.
Well...Tristan's part, at least.
June is just a simple human.
Nothing special, really.
Just a lot of compassion and pluck.
And an equally sad backstory.

Tristan and his people are where all the world-building and interesting nuance take place.
But somehow...it all seems to work.
In large part because it is very clear from the start that this is intended to be a light read.
And is...when all is said and done, home to a very sweet HEA
