An unusual story but with a totally believable plot and characters. At first I wondered if I would get into this book as I was unsure where it could go but so glad I carried on as it turned into a great read and one that I had to keep reading way past bedtime because I just so needed to know what happened next. It will surprise you! Not read from this author before but will definitely look out for more from her.

A real winner of a novel from Kate. Ally tries to discover where and why she appeared to disappear for a few days with a wonderful, unexpected twist of answers. Kate is a new author for me, but one I will definitely look for in the future.

3.5 stars rounded down to 3

Ally Linden arrives at the office absolutely soaking wet due to the weather. All she wants is to get into her office and dry off. But she has forgotten the key card that allows her access. When the boss arrives, she is shocked to find out that she hasn't worked there for five years. It seems she is suffering from a dissociative episode. Ally slowly begins to remember things about herself., but there is still just over a day that is lost to her.

I was pulled in from the first chapter, needing to know what had happened to Ally in the two days she had been missing. I could feel her anxiety pouring through the pages. Ally had been involved in an event when she was just nine years old. Could this have something to do with her current situation.? There is lots of twists and I found myself second guessing them. But for me, it was the ending that let this story down. It felt abrupt and there was things I still needed to know. It also dragged out a bit too long. I will read more from this author in future.

I would like to thank #NetGalley, #AvonBooksUK and the author #KateWhite for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A good read overall. There are some good parts of this story. The building suspense and the unfurling story are well written. Some parts of the story though are not quite believable and I had too many unanswered questions at the end.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

I enjoyed the start of this book but the writing style soon after meant I didnt get passed 10%,phrases like ‘ a different ball of wax’ didn't help,I usually can’t tell much difference between American and UK authors and gladly read both but the language used was ‘different’, apologies

Ally is missing her memories of the past 48 hours and has no idea where to start or who she can trust.

I enjoyed this book, but like others have said I did think the ending seemed rather rushed. I also thought the "twist" was obvious and had been done before. (Black eyed Susans).

I found Ally quite irritating and pretentious which doesn't bode well for a main character and the finance references boring (I am a qualified accountant and hated it! Might be why!).
I definitely think the author could have built the atmosphere more by focusing on the story regarding Ally's past rather than trying to use numerous different characters and relationships to cause suspicion. This being said it was an enjoyable read and I written well. I will read more by this author in future.

The key to her missing memories could bring relief—or unlock her worst nightmares.

When finance journalist Ally Linden arrives at work soaked to the skin, feeling out of sorts and missing her key card, she's shocked to discover she hasn't worked there for five years, she then collapses and ends up in hospital. When she recovers she learns that she's been missing for two days and nobody, not even herself, knows where she's been. She's diagnosed with having experienced a dissociative state, caused by a possibly traumatic incident, could it be related to a trauma she suffered when she was nine or is it because of the situation she currently finds herself in with her husband? Ally is desperate for answers and sets out to uncover where she's been during the last two days and what caused it to happen, but is she going to like what she hears and who is trying to stop her discovering the truth.

This story drew me in from the start, it's an intriguing, tense read which kept me guessing throughout, with identifiable characters, giving an insight into the trauma that Ally suffered when she was younger and her life since then. This is the first I've read by this author and, whilst I did enjoy it, reading it in less than a day, I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed, hence me dropping my rating down to three stars, but that won't deter me from reading her other work in the future.

I'd like to thank Avon and Netgalley for the approval, I will post my review on Goodreads now and Amazon on publication day.

I thought the description of this book sounded intriguing. I was a little disappointed as I don't think that the tension was built up enough and I also didn't really understand/care about the character. There is so much more that the author could have done with this specific story - showing us what her marriage was like, why she was seeing her therapist, how the impact of what she saw as a child affected her. It would have worked much better if it had gone deeper into her life rather than rushing through the present and throwing so many different suspects into the mix that it missed the bigger picture.

I enjoyed wondering how I would feel if the same thing happened to me - what if I couldn't remember 48 hours of my life? Would it impact me? What would I do? I also liked the fact that some things made me think such as how a big event happening in childhood can impact on you throughout your life.

This author has a lot of potential and I would read more books from her again, I would just have loved so much more from this book. Good to read if you like a mystery which isn't very deep.

Can You See Me was my first Kate White book and now I am eager for more. What a twisty and crazy story this was. I read this over 2 nights, desperate at find out what was going to happen next and how it would all end. Great psychological/domestic thriller.

Ally is a financial journalist and turns up way she loves early to work one morning... only o be old she hadn’t worked at Greenbacks for 5 years. So why did she go there and why is she looking dishevelled and lost. Next thing she knows she is in the hospital being told she had an dissociative episode and had been missing for 2 days. Trying to unlock the memories proves harder than she thought and there is somebody who definitely doesn’t want her to remember.

I was sucked into this ok straight away and really enjoyed it. Still not sure about the ending, which seemed rushed and unexpected.

Thanks o Avon. Books UK for my advanced copy of this book to read.

I loved the opening of this story which made me go cold. What the heck had happened to Ally that could make her forget the last couple of years of her life and why had she turned up to her old place of employment that her former lover owned? I was definitely hooked.
This is quite a slow burn read as Ally, with help from various other sources and hindrance from others, begins to piece her life back together. To be honest, if I had Ally’s life I think that I would want to forget most of the people I knew too, although there is, of course, a much bigger reason for her to forget events.
I suspected almost everyone at some point but still got it wrong. I don’t know if it was me or just too many suspects. It is a very twisty story with lots of red herrings in very murky water. I did enjoy the story as it was that bit different. At times creepy and edgy.
I wish to thank NetGalley and the publisher for an e-copy of this book which I have reviewed honestly.

I loved the fresh plot idea of Have You Seen Me but it fell flat for me. It’s not exciting enough?
I didn’t like the characters, the confusing writing style or the out of nowhere silly ending. Not my cup of tea.

When I read the review of Have You Seen Me I thought it would be more having one day unaccounted for. Though I was a little disappointed, but it did turn out to be an interesting mystery.

I devoured Have You Seem Me? in just over a day. It’s an interesting concept and I felt the plot worked well with each chapter piquing your interest enough to move onto the next one. It’s the tale of one woman’s dangerous quest to unlock 48 hours of memories that she’s completely forgotten. Memories that others may not want her to recover. Ally’s dissociative state also brings back traumatic memories from her childhood. I found this book to be gripping and thrilling and hard to put down. Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.

When financial journalist Ally Linden turns up for work to be told she hasn’t worked there for five years she collapses. It appears she can’t recall the past two days. As Ally tries to remember what she did, who she saw, and where she went, it seems that Ally is not the only one interested to know what happened to her.

A good fast paced story with interesting characters which was an enjoyable read.

Despite the blurb for this book making it sound like my sort of thing, I didn't like it at all. I found it exasperatingly slow and didn't carry on much past 50%. Just not for me I'm afraid.

Thanks to Net Galley and Avon Books UK for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review. First book by this author, it’s starts of really well and I was intrigued to read more, what was Ally Linden doing for the two days she was in a disassociated state.? Was her trauma related to her horrific experience as a child when she discovered the body of a little girl, or does it relate to an argument with her husband Hugh?
I liked the main character, Ally, she is strong and intelligent, though she is feeling frightened and off balance with what’s been happening to her., she is determined though to piece together her missing timeline.
I felt as the story progressed that it fell a bit flat, I kept waiting for something major to happen, the plot was weak and the ending was rushed, unbelievable and disappointing.

Complex and intricate tale of murder and mystery. Lots of diverse characters who bring the story to life. An unusual and interesting read with a big twist.

This book was enthralling. I could not put it down and was eager to figure out what had happened and what would happen next.
Ally arrives at work on a wet day in Manhattan to discover that she has not worked there for 5 years. She cannot remember getting to work or anything else at all. She works frantically to try and put the pieces together of the missing pieces of her memory, but is she getting herself in more trouble by doing so.
I was suspicious of everyone, I loved this read-absolutely gripping!

What a great book. Ally turns up at the office to find she hasn't worked at the company for years. She passes out and wakes up in hospital with no memory of the previous few days. The story follows Allys quest to recover her memory and piece together the events of that time.

. Good story, interesting characters and good pace.
I couldn't put it down.
