Compelling and Haunting. An excellent short read.
Catherine Cooper's debut novel is a short but compelling and haunting read.
Two men went to ski in a blizzard but only one came back. Something wrong had happened with the other.
Now 20 years later, four men went to the same resort. Each is having a secret.
One is a killer and is out for revenge.
There is nothing more that I'll say about this twisty thriller so go and read it. Its a wonderful holiday short read.
The characters were creepy in a way you would find in a Lucy Foley's book. I loved them all.
The narration of the story is excellent. I was hooked.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK Harper Fiction for giving me an advance copy.

This is quite a quick read and a good 'holiday' book. Set in a couple of different time frames and told by many of the characters in the book which can be confusing so you need to stay awake to follow who is relating the tale at any one time. A few twists and turns which are mainly hidden from the reader by either not revealing the name of the storyteller in a chapter or by an altered name which throws you off the scent. A useful guise for the author which works here but if she continues to use it through other novels, it may become predictable.

Twenty years ago the disappearance of a man from a luxury ski resort, four acquaintances- friends would be taking it too far - are on holiday, each there for their own reasons. But one is a murderer and one is there to murder. Set against the perfect powder, the atmospheric weather this thriller will creep up on you and make you doubt everyone involved. It jumps neatly from 20 years ago to the present and the ending is perfect.
