This book was cozy and I understand why it will resonate with so many people. It’s the story of two friends living in Hawaii. Quinn runs an Inn and is reconnecting with her long lost family, while Maggie is escaping a year of hell after dealing with a stalker and being a single mom. Both characters are likable and interesting but for me, this story did too much telling and not enough showing.

My main problem came with the many instances of repeated information. The main characters has brothers, which is sort of unremarkable if you ask me (I have brothers also), but it was mentioned at least 5 times as a character trait. “She’s tough because she has brothers, her brothers showed her how to defend herself, her brothers taught her better” etc, etc.

I will still continue on with this author as she’s a good storyteller.

Kay Bratt draws you in to this story with her characters and the way she can weave a storey around them. It was so fun getting to know them all and reading their story. This was a book I found myself turning the pages faster and faster in because the story was so good and I had to know what happened.

Get this series. You will not be sorry!

No Place Too Far is part of trilogy about family and friends who have moved to Hawaii. Quinn"s friend has left mainland states to make a place for survival for herself and her son. She joins Quinn, but has not managed to get away from her problems. This is a book about family and extended family. As with most of Kay Bratt's books, you will hold your breath during some tense parts, but you will be proud of what everyone looking out for each other can accomplish. Please read this trilogy and enjoy the descriptions of Hawaii's beauty.

I really wanted to enjoy this book since I read another one of hers and really liked it. Maybe I'm not into stalkers but this book was not for me. The setting of Hawaii was nice though.

I have enjoyed every book I have read from Kay Bratt. Such a great writer, and this one did not let me down - so descriptive and very relatable storyline. I like a book that I can’t figure out the ending.

No Place Too Far
by Kay Bratt

This was a powerful story! I really enjoyed the characters of Katie/Quinn and Maggie. Each of their stories pulls you in and keeps you captivated. A mom on the run to protect her son from a stalker and a daughter who was lost at sea. Their friendship is also very real! I really enjoyed the action and drama in this story as well! Definitely a page turner and great read!

This is the second book in the By the Sea series, and I really was intrigued to see where the story would take us in this instalment.
The story is set in Maui, and is brought to life beautifully by the author. Maggie finally feels free with her stalker behind bars, when she takes the leap to start a fresh in Maui with Quinn. However, her newfound happiness is short lived when new horrors confront her.
I loved the level of suspense in this book as it kept me intrigued and wanting more. I look forward to reading future books in this series.

So happy to head back to Maui to spend time with these characters. This book focuses on Maggie, but we still get to check in with Quinn.

Maggie has trust issues, but who can blame her? She’s had a rough road and it caused her to run all the way to Maui. She’s in paradise, yet she can’t enjoy it. She refuses to let others in to help her. Description of anxiety attack was spot on and I felt each breath.

I loved the story of healing and reconciliation.

I'm so in love with this series! May heart is one of my favorites and so is this series. Just as she is starting her life over and feeling at home she finds a life changing experience with someone who she thought was long gone. This is a fantastic mystery with a twist set reading it makes you feel right there! Loved it and can't wait to read the next one! Thank you NetGalley for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

When I saw this book on NetGalley and saw it was set in Maui, I immediately requested it! Then I found out this was book two in a series, and I immediately picked up the first book (True to Me). I thoroughly enjoyed both books, and loved how No Place Too Far focused on both Quinn and Maggie. I absolutely loved Maggie and her sweet dog, Woodrow. The book definitely did not end up how I thought it would midway through, but I still loved the ending. I also loved the aspects of Hawaiian culture and legend woven through the book. We had to cancel our trip to Hawaii in 2020 (for obvious reasons) so this book helped soothe my sadness of missing Hawaii just a little! These books were my first time reading this author and I definitely want to read more!

No Place To Far, is the second in the By the Sea series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Loved reading about the characters location in Hawai'i. So colorful, you could almost smell the sea, and the food sounded amazing!

This was a warm and enjoyable read. I had read the previous title so understood the storyline but I do think it could be read without having read the previous one.

Just as other Kay Bratt books this is a poignant family/friend drama which can be enjoyed by all.

Thank you Netgalley.

This book is the second in the By the Sea series, Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. This is a suspenseful women's fiction story. Maggie has been dealing with the horrific reality of a stalker for several years. . Her stalker is finally behind bars and she has moved to Maui to start again. Her Quinn is with her and they are enjoying being in paradise together as Maggie heal;s . Unfortunately her peace is short lived and she struggles to live through more horror .

I liked this book for for victims of stalking it is a trigger. The writing is excellent, the settings is wonderfully described and Maggie is a strong charcter. But the stalking is disturbing and if your a victim I recommend you go forward with caution.

Maggie has spent the last year on the run from her stalker but has now settled in Maui but is still constantly looking over her shoulder. Her best friend Quinn is going through her own troubles and her story is told parallel to Maggie's. I would have given this book a 5 but for someone that was so afraid of her life why she didn't let her overprotective older brothers and the father of her child know is beyond me? The story is gripping and interesting and a total page-turner otherwise.

Maggie has been on the run, dealing with a stalker. With the stalker behind bars, she finally feels ready to settle down and chooses the be close to her friend, Quinn. However, it starts to become clear that her troubles aren’t behind her, after all.

Quinn is still dealing with coming to terms with her new family as someone threatens to make their story public, risking the ones she love.

This book is the second in the By the Sea series, but it can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoyed this book-I’ve never been to Hawaii, but the author’s descriptions made me long for a trip to paradise. Maggie and Quinn have a great friendship, making this story easy to read. The secondary stalker storyline has just enough suspense to keep the pages turning. Can’t wait for the next book!

What a fabulous story of friends, family and we also get to experience a tad of Maui where the story takes place . Quinn was born and raised by a single mom and during her last book True to Me she finally finds some answers.
Quinn and Maggie has been friend’s first many years and this book takes you to both their currents lives. A few characters makes their work better but a few don’t. Maggie is running for her and her son’s life and Quinn has to make some tough decisions. Will she make the right one? Read this terrific story and find out.
