The start of the book was a little slow but once it got going I couldn't put it down. You think you know what's happened throughout the book......until you find you dont!

The book begins with a short prologue describing the hours after Lizzie Burdett goes missing in 2006, cut to 2018 Thailand where we meet Noah Carruso who is the younger brother of Lizzie's boyfriend, Tom.

Lizzie is still missing.

While in Thailand, Noah meets a woman (who looks, coincidentally, a lot like Lizzie...) called Alice and a strong, instant connection is made but unfortunately for Noah their time together is short as he has to go back to Australia to help manage the family restaurant.

He also has to face his brother, who he hasn't seen in over ten years, at the inquest into what happened to Lizzie Burdett. A meeting which will be fraught with tension as Noah has held a long standing suspicion against his brother Tom...

I really enjoyed this book, I was about 80% of the way into it and I STILL had no idea where it was going which is unheard of for me (I've read a lot of psychological thrillers...) and the ending didn't disappoint at all. I guessed some parts of the story but it really didn't take away from the overall book.

I usually dislike thrillers mixed with romance because I think they're usually a bit meh but this was a genuinely good one! I really enjoyed Noah and Alice's relationship a lot and it didn't have me wanting to fake vomit which is a always a plus!

Overall, I thought the whole book was excellently written and I will be actively seeking out more Sara Foster books because I thoroughly enjoyed You Don't Know Me. I also like the way the title makes complete sense at the end...

I'd give this one a solid 3.75 stars out of 5 and would recommend it for fans of thrillers... and you get to visit Australia and Thailand for a while 😉

A brilliant book full of suspense, this book draws the reader in from the start.
Full of twists and turns throughout, the story is so perfectly paced it keeps you intrigued and as secrets begin to be revealed, the intensity really ramps up.
A brilliant read which I would certainly recommend to others.

I enjoyed this book. Two troubled souls hampered in life by their families. It was well written although I felt the twist was just a bit too random. Didn't ruin the story though.

I struggled to get into this book and it took me a long time until I did. I'm not sure Sara Foster's writing style is for me.

I read this in 3 days and would have been faster if life didn't get in the way! I really enjoyed the intrigue and twists and half hints. I'm usually good at guessing how things pan out but not for this story which is why it kept me hooked!

Noah meets Alice on holiday and she is the image of his first forbidden love who disappeared never to be seen again years before, blighting the reputation of his family. Noah is hooked and stays with Alice longer than intended, then Alice disappears. Noah is devastated.

Both Noah and Alice have family hangups which add layers of detail to the plot.

The narrative is interlaced with podcasts which gives an unusual perspective and I found heightens the suspense.

Suffice it to say they meet up again and all is not as it seems.

No spoilers for what is a great story! Do they get to stay together in the end? Read it and find out, you won't be disappointed!

I read this book in two days! It kept me gripped right from the start. Noah and Alice both have pasts they would like to escape from but their duty to family keeps bringing them back.. Nothing is quite as it seems and there are twists and turns where you least expect them. Be prepared for an enthralling read. Engaging characters and A brilliant plot line make this a must read book. Do not pass this by.

You Don't Know Me tells the story of Noah who is currently on holiday in Thailand. On a boat, he catches the eye of a lady who looks just like his brothers' ex girlfriend. Fairly non eventful you may think, until we learn that this ex girlfriend Lizzie Burdett went missing 18 years ago after a huge row with Noah's brother Tom, and has never been seen since.

The lady on the boat isn't Lizzie, but her and Noah spark up a real attraction, and he ends up taking an extended holiday to stay with her, much to the annoyance of the family back home. who are left to run their family restaurant without his support.

The inquest into Lizzie's assumed death is fast approaching, and Noah is convinced his brother has killed her. He and Tom have always had a volatile relationship, but he saw and heard things that night that have him convinced that he is hiding something,

The book took me a while to become invested in, and I felt the pace could have been faster. However, I did love the descriptions of Noah's brother Tom, as I did find myself really hating him by the way he spoke and acted towards Noah.

There are some twists and turns at the end, but for me it all felt a bit 'meh' - and left me feeling fairly disappointed at the end. Not for me unfortunately.

I found it really hard to stay interested in this story. I skipped pages just to get to the end.

Lizzie Burdett was eighteen when she vanished. Noah Carruso has never forgotten her: she was his first crush; his unrequited love. She was also his brother’s girlfriend.

Tom Carruso hasn’t been home in over a decade. Now he’s coming home for the inquest into Lizzie’s death. As the inquest looms, Noah meets Alice Pryce while on holiday in Thailand.

The beginning of the book covers the disappearance of Lizzie in one and a half pages and then skips to twelve years later. In the present, Noah is on holiday in Thailand where he meets Alice who teaches English there. He is taken aback by how closely she resembles Lizzie. They fall in love fast and hard, but Noah can’t bear to tell Alice his deepest fears. And Alice is equally stricken, for she carries a terrible secret of her own.

As Noah’s holiday draws to a close and he travels back home leaving Alice behind, fate again brings the two back together in Australia. Here in Australia at the inquest as the truth of what happened on that fateful night that Lizzie disappeared unfolds so does Alice’s truth. Both Noah and Alice face their respective pasts and it’s consequences on the present. Will there relationship survive the truth?

It was an easy and quick read however I did not find myself invested in the plot. Foster does great in building characters that the reader can relate too and has the reader emphasising with the two main characters. This book was more about a tragic and dark romantic relationship. I enjoyed reading about Noah and Alice’s time in Thailand and the beautiful descriptive scenery of both Thailand and Australia. I would recommend this read as a holiday read.

Alice and Noah meet by chance in Thailand. Noah on an extended holiday, Alice is teaching. Both have escaped their normal lives in Australia. Both are hiding trauma and secrets. As their relationship develops we find out more about what they are running from and particularly in Noah's case, the devastating consequences of lies and secrets and how the disappearance of another redhead, Lizzie, has haunted him for years. I loved the flitting between Alice and Noah's narrative, it kept the story moving and gave their parallel stories time to develop. The characters were well developed and felt realistic. Their is plenty of mystery, family drama and an excellent reveal that shocked me! I'm looking forward to reading more by the author.

OMG! What a brilliant, gripping read. It's full of suspense, twists and completely unputdownable. A blinding good, clever plot with characters you want to root for. It's also sad in places but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely be reading more of Sara Foster's books. I'd highly recommend and I thank you NetGally and the publishers for allowing me to read this book.

A long term mystery, a new romance, that collide in the present is the theme of this book. This is a well written psychological thriller with a well paced plot. Set in Thailand and Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the writing made me looking at holidays (when that is allowed!) I wasn't necessarily surprised by the reveal as to what happened to Lizzie, but I thought the other part of the ending was a realistic response to the situation that had occurred before (being vague to avoid spoilers).

Thanks to Netgalley for the preview of this book. Unfortunately it was not for me. I struggled to get into it & to care about the characters. It wasn't brilliantly written and I felt that the plot weakened as the story went on..

Noah goes on holiday and meets Alice. She reminds him of his first love, Lizzie, who was his brothers girlfriend but she disappeared years before. Alice makes him feel alive but she has her own secrets.
When he gets home he has to face his family and an inquest into Lizzie’s case, what secrets will be told?
This was a good solid read and I really enjoyed it. The characters were interesting and it’s a good story. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

I found this book very engaging and was compelled to stay up late to finish reading.

For me, the primary story was the relationship between Noah and Alice. They are drawn to each other when they meet in Thailand and a beautiful love story ensues, with sensually written intimate encounters.

However, both characters have their own problems to overcome, with the theme of family dynamics carefully woven through the narrative,

Twelve years ago, Lizzie Burdett mysteriously disappeared. and Noah fears that his brother, Tom, was responsible for this. The inquest is difficult for everyone. I didn't expect the surprising twist, which worked well. The podcasts following the story were also clever addition.

My only criticism would be that the story didn't have the happy-ever-after I thought the couple deserved.

I would highly recommend this read.

Noah Carusso as a teenager had a crush on his brothers girlfriend Lizzie. One night Lizzie and Tom get into a heated argument and that is the last time anybody see’s Lizzie. With Tom being under suspicion he ups and leaves.
Meanwhile now Noah is on holiday in Thailand when he meets Alice teaching English there. She reminds Noah of Lizzie with her red hair. They fall quickly for each other but are both holding back keeping secrets.
Noah has to return home for Lizzies inquest and Tom returns home for it.
Alice has a 6 month contract teaching English in Thailand but she has to come home as her father is injured.
Will they continue with their romance or will their secrets ruin it.
Thanks NetGalley
