This is another entertaining delightful tale of tells
Told by a bard. Glimpses of the old world that man destroyed through greed & war stick up like barbs in the ew world tales of wonder & strife. Each tale is short enough to digest quickly if reading between getting other things accomplished. Fromm hard sacrifices like the Queen of the Wolves to outwitting evil to magic. It has al the ingredients of the old fables as every story has uplifting moral compass nudges, so stories that teach kids how to maybe be better people. I like the way the tales progress further through the ages of the peoples if you catch it.

Lovers of traditional fairy tales will enjoy this book. Each story follows on in a narrative style which is engaging and a little quirky. I loved that the stories were short enough to read in a single session and were full of the richness you'd expect from a traditional fairy tale with princesses, dragons, baddies, goodies and the expected moral to the story. Great to share in a huge range of settings from family to schools. A nice change from well known with enough familiarity for even the little ones to recognise. Thoroughly recommended.

There is still a kid inside me and it loves fairy tales of all kinds. I found this book irresistible! I enjoy a good read with make believe and great characters. This book should delight kids 10-100! The stories are just the right size to read in a sitting, if pressed for time, or reading from start to finish in a few hours (but I like to savor these kind!) The world building is wonderful and I enjoyed the characters. The stories themselves are interesting and well-written. I loved the narrator, very knowledgeable and personable- drew one right in to the tales!

The title says it all really! They are wonderful tales! It’s a classic magical land, good and bad kings, queens, elves, tales of magic, greed, kind hearted acts, love, the list goes on.

These were lovely, nothing frightening in there, nothing awful or surprising, just a lovely set of tales, often repeating characters, and items just to help each tale blend together, and make it feel like one big story.

A lovely read all in all. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the copy

this was a really good fairy tale book, the characters were great and it had what I was looking for in this type of plot.

1-9 i loved reading this book, 21 short fairytales, it’s fun and exciting.
But if there would have been illustrations in the book, it would have been an amazing and awesome experience. That’s what I missed.

Wonderful short stories that are given a short introduction to each. The stories are more than fairy tales even though many have the element of fantasy. There are heroes and heroines, evil creatures and more. Many of the stories are about right and wrong. The stories are amazing. One of my favorite stories was about a sparrow and a farmer. These short stories will be enjoyed by all who’re read them!

I’m not usually a fan of short stories but I have been trying to widen my reading pool recently and this was a great start.
It’s a series of 20 short stories/Fables set in a fantasy world and although they are written for a younger audience I really enjoyed them (37 year old *waves*)
The book is told as though narrated and this was a style I enjoyed, although the stories are short they are well told and easily understood.
Overall a good read which can be shared between the whole family.

I love fairytales! Often when you grab a collection of fairytales you get a ton of derivative stories, not here. Here you will find a collection of brilliantly imaginative and original tales perfect for readers of all ages. The stories have heart and moral, while still being full of wonder and adventure that will hold the attention of younger readers. They are a great length for reading in one sitting, though I have to admit I read through them very fast. I was totally sucked into the world.

Recommended for young and young at heart readers.

A fantastical read! Although I teach primary, I think it's great for older kids. Really the introductions to each story is a plus. My favorite was the farmer with the little bird. We always need more books with fantasy elements.

This is a very easy read with great flow. I like how it starts with a narrator. It draws in as if someone is actually telling you the story. The stories themselves are not bad. They are interesting, and enjoyable to read.
The stories do not follow the traditional fairy tail style. However, I do like the modern style. This would be a great book for children, and teens, to read, since it is about the fifth to seventh grade reading level. However, it is written in a way that even adults would enjoy them.
Overall, a good book.
