As the second book in the series, this installment dives even deeper into Miriam’s messy, unpredictable world. She’s still sharp-tongued and hard-edged, but there’s a growing tension beneath the surface—especially with her psychic ability bubbling just out of control. I appreciated how the story didn’t shy away from the rough edges of her life, and instead leaned into the chaos. It’s gritty, strange, and totally absorbing—another wild chapter in a series that keeps pulling me in.
