I enjoyed the story, particularly that it wasn't about another blonde skinny 20 something woman's love story, but had a strong black woman with normal hangups as the lead. The brothers were all really likeable, except Damien but maybe that's just me, and it would be nice to be able to read their stories in further books. The 2 things which stopped me rating it 5 stars were 1) the spelling and grammar was horrific, and throughout the whole book these issues kept cropping up which through you off your stride reading whilst you tried to figure out the word the author meant to use, but had autocorrected to a different one, and 2) the story was really sweet with just the odd expletive, then it starts to get R rated with the sex scene which put me off and to be honest had I not been reviewing the story, I'd have stopped reading there and just deleted the book

My favourite author, Lindsey Kelk has reviewed this as being "A Swoonfest" and she is not wrong. I loved each of the boys in their own quirky ways Damian being authorative, sometimes has a stick up his butt, but his hearts in the right place. Lucas who's a joker and loves his job, his brothers and the shop. Noah who loves his job as a dancer but also doesn't want to leave his family for so long, he's adorable. And then finally, the black sheep of the family, Jesse. Our boy Jesse, loves a good drink, loves the ladies, and cannot for the life of him hold a job down. I love that he steps up and takes charge with the shop and really knuckles down. The character progression with Jesse is real in this book and I loved it. Similarly with Kerry, she seemed a bit of a quiet mouse at the beginning of the book, but as we get further in, we realise that's not the case at all.

I loved that we got the dynamic between the brothers and also their relationships individually with Kerry as well as Kerry's relationship with Val. A lot happening but not too much that it became confusing and cluttered.

This is a really cute contemporary with a friends to lovers element.

I will definitely be looking for more from Kwana in the future, love her writing style.
