A Reunion At Mulberry Lane by Rosie Clarke is the sixth book in a series. This is the first one I have read by Rosie in this particular series and it is fine as a standalone also.A lovely saga set in the 1950s after the war and featuring Peggy and her husband Able, who are now running a cafe away from the lane in the country side.Every year they take three weeks off and return to London and see all their friends.
The book tells us all about Peggy,Able and all the people in their lives and the family that connect through Maggie. it is just like sitting with a brew in your hands and meandering with friends, whiling the day away. We learn all about their ups and downs, the struggles after the war. The romances, the sad times and the drama that happens to them in their lives. Always a warm and fun time with Christmas and the merriments.I definitely felt like I had new friends by the end of this book.
I love a good heartwarming saga, set in the past and times gone by, community and friendship was everything then and not many went far wrong with these things behind them. A cast of down to earth characters will never go amiss in this type of story and I, for one ,loved it!
Thanks to Rachels Random Resources, netgalley and Netgalley for the book so I could write my review.

Although I have not read the previous books in this series, I have read other books that Rosie Clarke has written, and since I enjoyed her stories and this was a Christmas book, I couldn’t pass it. And I now really want to read the previous novels so I can see the entire growth of the story and characters, because I’m definitely curious.

I love stories that follow a group of characters, and not just one of two characters in a main view. And reading this book, it was like watching a movie, about Peggy and her family, about a community. And it made me excited to see more, so I will have to go back in time with the series and read the other books because although I didn’t felt like I missed much, my curiosity is asking me to learn more.

I also love stories that are set during Christmas. I truly think that this novel made me interesting in reading the other books because of how the holidays gave me the perfect moment to meet the characters. It gave me the opportunity to see the relationships, what the characters wanted to accomplish.

The plot allowed me to see the daily life, and all that comes with it. The excitement, the goals, the obstacles… It allowed the reader to feel a part of the community during this time, in a soft way.

Overall, I enjoyed it. As I have said previously, I will be reading the other books because this book made me want to know more about this place, this group of people and their lives during this time period. Plus, I have already liked Rosie Clarkes’ writing, so I was already sold.

Rosie Clarke has a wonderful way with words and I loved visiting the ladies of Mulberry Lane again. I haven't read all of the books in this series but they are all written as stand alone reads as well. It was great to visit the lovely selection of characters dotted between Mulberry Lane and Devon.

I love reading a book that just sweeps you along and after the first few chapters introduce you to everyone, I was catapulted into a Christmas at Mulberry Lane. Christmas is one of my favourite times of year as I love the family time and this book really focused on family and it's importance throughout.

Another wonderful read from Rosie Clarke set in the years following World War II as Britain started to recover. I love the attitudes of Peggy, Sheila and Rose in this story and how they don't shy away from a bit of hard work and have nothing but admiration as they paved the way for later generations.

This is the sixth in the series. I have read all the previous ones. This one is as enjoyable as the others.
All Rosie Clarke's books are a joy to read. She draws you in until you feel as if you are part of the book.
I would highly recommend it. An absolute pleasure to read.

It was lovely to catch up with everyone from Mulberry Lane again. You could read this as a stand-alone but why would you want to when there is a fabulous series of all the neighbours, friends and family that live in Mulberry Lane. I have absolutely loved following the lives of Peggy and her family as they have dealt with a lot of difficult situations over the years. I hope there will be another book in the not too distant future fingers crossed. A well deserved 5 star read

What an absolutely lovely book A Reunion at Mulberry Lane was to read. This is the 6th book in this series but the first one I have read. It does work very well as a stand-alone.

I met several characters who are family and friends of Peggy and Able. These two have left Mulberry Lane, also known as The Lanes, to run a cafe. They work hard but do miss their family and friends back home. It is set just after the end of WWII and the effects of the war are still being felt there are those who are suffering from we now know as PTSD and have a very hard time adapting. But on the whole, it is a time when people are gradually getting back to how things used to be, there are still some food shortages but the country is getting there.

The family and friends of Peggy are a wonderful group and there is an obvious bond between these characters that have been built up over the previous books in the series. The sense of belonging and having people to turn to for support and also the reactions when news is shared gives a wonderful feeling for the reader.

The storyline is a gentle one as such because it is one about the everyday lives of people who work hard and support each other. There is a wonderful feeling of belonging and being loved between the characters and this is what makes this book so special. There are some fabulous characters that I have met and I soon found myself getting to know them and remembering them.

Considering I have come to this series quite late on, I was surprised and also delighted at how quickly I found myself invested in this book. There are mentions of things that have happened in the past and the author gives just enough to make me aware but without giving too much away.

While this book works very well as a standalone I do wish I had begun this from the very beginning as I think the reading journey with the resident of The Lanes would be wonderful. I really enjoyed this book and I think readers of historical fiction and family sagas will absolutely adore this if you haven't read any of the books I would say read from the beginning as I think this would be a wonderful series to settle down with. I Would definitely recommend A Reunion at Mulberry Lane.

An excellent continuation of this heartwarming series, bringing things full circle.

Peggy and Able live in the country now with the twins, running a successful business but it doesn't stop Peggy fretting about her two eldest even though they are now adults with children of their own. With the decision made to head back to the Lanes for Christmas, Peggy is looking forward to meeting up with all her friends again - letters just aren't the same! Able is a quiet, contented husband and father, but not much escapes him - would moving back to London make life easier or not?

It's wonderful to be back with this cast of characters again; Rosie Clarke's excellent writing makes each one come alive and she has the period details spot on. With a little bit of upset, unhappiness and a huge dollop of love this is a marvellous read and one I have really enjoyed. Being reminded of all the residents in and around the lanes is most entertaining and it's lovely to catch up with them all again. A delight to read and a series I recommend to all lovers of sagas set during, and just after, the second world war. For me, this is well worth 4.5*.

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley and to Rachel's Random Resources for my spot on this tour; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased review.

Rosie has provided us with another enchanting read. Meeting old friends and seeing how their lives unfold. Of course it wouldn’t be complete without Peggy who looks after everyone.. Hopefully there will be more “Lane” books to follow. Totally recommend this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the first book I had read by Rosie Clarke but will certainly not be the last, as I intend to seek out and enjoy the remainder of this series and others. This book is from Ms. Clarke’s Mulberry Street series and centers on characters Peggy, her young twins Fay and Freddie, The older children, and Peggy’s loving American husband Able. The time is post-WWII and some shortages and hardships remain. While Peggy and Able had relocated to, and started, a thriving business in the country, their visit back to their old London neighborhood of Mulberry Lane, dear friends and family members prompts a decision to return permanently. Events in Peggy’s older and younger children’s lives drive the narrative, as do challenges in the lives of friends Rose and Maureen. The narrative prompted me to keep reading to see what happened next.

What I loved about this book was the emotional sense of comfort, good people facing sometimes-difficult challenges and trying to do the right and kind thing with positive results. The tone reminded me a bit of Debbie Macomber’s books and even perhaps Maeve Binchy’s. I enjoyed it very much and plan to re-read it in the future.

I am thankful to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this offering.

A Reunion at Mulberry lane by Rosie Clarke is a book whose blurb got my attention.

Rosie Clarke writes an engaging novel where so many lives are brought out in the book.

I have read lots of books by Rosie Clarke so I was very excited to try this particular book because the author takes you on a journey and you can’t help falling deeper in love with historical sagas.

Welcome to Mulberry Lane. Themes of friendship, family and moral support among others were navigated here.

There are lots of characters I had a hard time putting them into place.

I love Peggy and her friendship with Maureen. I love how both took their motherhood seriously while working for a living.

The book cover is beautiful, I must admit.

All those food mentioned in this book made me hungry. I was craving for an apple pie with iced bun. I would love to try that.

Mulberry Lane seems like a cozy place full of communal love. Everybody is so thoughtful.

Some quotes I love from this novel are; “…I think there must have been something in the air this Christmas…”

“A little bit of Christmas magic“

I love the Christmas season in a year. I used to think extra miracles happens at Christmas.

I am rating it 4 stars. Rosie Clarke did a good job taking me on an adventure to Mulberry Lane.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are mine.

I absolutely love Rosie's books, she is an extremely talented author who never fails to pull me into the story and this one has been no different. This is an author that never fails to deliver a good story and once again the characters come to life in this book Although, this is book 6 Rosie gives delightful hints at the past which reminds you as a reader what the characters have been through. I adore the characters in this book, each one is given their own individual personality. Rosie has made each character likeable and realistic. This is another definite five star read for me, I absolutely adore this author's work. This is a great read and quite possibly one of my favourites.

Amazing, couldn't put it down! Have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series and can't wait for the next. It was a nice cheerful book with minimal drama or sadness which made me smile as I read it. Glad all the characters are in happy situations at the end of the book as don't like it when a book ends in sadness. Great author and would highly recommend this series to others.

I really enjoy reading Rosie Clarke novels and this one was no exception. This is book 6 of the series and really enjoyable. The thing I liked most is that the characters follow through with the storyline and Rosie pops in “gentle reminders” of their past history so it is so easy to remember. I sometimes find it very frustrating when authors do a series of books and you cannot always recall their history. This story is based on the main character Peggy and how she is trying to do her best by looking out for her family and friends. It’s just a lovely story of family, friends and life’s ups and downs which we can all easily relate to. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.
