This has a really interesting premise but I just could not get into it. So far we have basically spent the whole learning the backstory to every character in Kate's life and while I am a very character driven reader I just felt that it was an overload of information that wasn't needed at that point. I feel I learned nothing about these characters personality and found myself losing interest in it very quickly.

Unfortunately this was just not for me.

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book

I really enjoyed this, even if going on 12 dates in December did seem exhausting - it at least meant it was fast paced! All the characters were likeable and I loved the unpeeling of the back stories.

Absolutely great book! Had me in giggles.

When best friend Laura persuades Kate to participate in “the twelve dates of Christmas” will she find the one she has been waiting for? Or will it all end in disaster? This festive read is full of giggles and cosy jumpers

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the exciting concept of the main character going on the 12 dates. The main character was likeable, this is important to me. I enjoyed the humour and the supporting characters.
The setting was lovely as well, I loved that she always went back to the cafe, it was a comfort, a place of safety and familiarity. I felt like the cafe was a character in itself.
This was lovely, sweet and funny. It was the perfect Christmas holiday read which I would recommend and read again.

Loved the intrigue of this book and how different the premise of the dating scheme was.
The characters were well written and quite endearing.

A very pleasant romantic novel with a new spin on a tried and tested formula. All the people were plausible although I can’t imagine signing up for 12 dates with different people doing different activities but that is a generation thought. It was easy to read with a perfect ending

I loved everything about this book. The characters are believable, and the humour was spot on. The ending wasn't a surprise, but that didn't matter because it was all about the journey. Just fab.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book, I really relate to Petula being such a crafter. I love all that is the world of crafting.

The town Kate lives in, sounds lovely and a really nice community feel.

I think the concept of this book having 1w dates of Christmas is brilliant and so funny. I can really relate having been on some horrendous dates until I met my hubby. At the start of the book I couldn't wait to read about Kates 12 Dates and what daft people she got paired with.

When I read about dates one and two I could not wait to read about the rest.

Date 8 really shows you, you can't judge a book by its cover.

Date 9 - Adam, I was absolutely wetting myself at this date. Kate had such an amazing rebellious streak and the other people on dates were all laughing too when her date stopped out.

Just when you think she's found the one, it's a curve ball. I couldnt believe what I was reading, shocking, although I felt like there was something not quite right about him.

I absolutely loved the end of this book. I really relate to this book and Kates experiences because you find the love of your life when you least expect it. Kate comes across as a lovely, funny person and deserves to be happy.

Kates dad Mac really deserves happiness too. He's kind, stable and wonderfully generous.

The cafe in this book sounds perfect, I've always wanted to own a cafe and this makes me want one even more.

Loved this tale. An enjoyable romp through the world of blind dating. Some successes and a good dollop of disaster. All based on a Christmas theme.

Kate, an artist and designer for "Liberty" is still single longing for love, and has been signed up - not voluntarily- with an agency who offer "Twelve Date of Christmas." On her dating journey, she meets 12 men who cannot be more different from each other. This gives her experience and the chance to find herself. Eventually, she settles for one man.
Although it is very obvious from the very beginning who Kate was going to end up with, the journey that helped her get there was fun. I was so hooked on this book and read it in almost one sitting. The vivid description made the characters alive. The snow and description of decorations and lights, made this story a fairytale.

Thanks #Netgalley #JennyBayliss and publishers for offering me this book. Highly recommended.

This was a cute and cosy Christmas read, with an entertaining story-line, which I enjoyed, however, it was quite slow-paced at times and caused for some struggling moments to finish.

Lovely story that keeps you involved from the beginning right through until the end. Illustrating the highs and lows of blind dates and their outcomes. Definitely recommended to those readers who enjoy reading this type of book.

This was a delightful if predictable Christmas story. You could tell fairly early on what was going to happen but this story is so beautifully told that it keeps you involved until the end. The author has a wonderful ability to describe everything in detail from the scenery to the food and the outfits Kate wears. Kate lives in the village of Blexford on her own, but with family and friends close by. She works in London as a fabric designer for Liberty but helps out in the local café with Matt, the owner. Kate is looking for a partner in her life having been on her own for a while and signs up to a dating agency with a Christmas theme in the run up to the big day, where Kate is paired with a different man for twelve different events. The events themselves are really interesting and include wine tasting, an outdoor cinema, making a house out of gingerbread and even an Escape Room. Without giving too much away the dates all seem to have some sort of disaster even though Kate’s dates mostly seem quite eligible on the surface. It is a really easy read and the characters jump off the page. I loved hearing about the beautiful village which really sets the scene for Christmas. May read again next December! I read this in January and although a bit late for Christmas it is just perfect for lockdown. The descriptions of the Christmas scenes, food and decorations are lovely and set a beautiful scene that transports you to the pretty village of Blexford. Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.
