Very lovely book I've been following as the seasons change. I'm a very big lover of nature so anything that can help me connect more I love. I love the format of the book and will be purchasing so I can jot in the actually book. Thank you for the ARC to see this amazing book before buying.

This book definitely wasn’t what I thought it would be and didn’t really appeal to me at all. I didn’t bother finishing it as I couldn’t see me gaining anything from it

I Absolutely loved this book. So much information in it and so many hints and tips not just for gardening but your own wellbeing. I also loved the illustrations throughout

And my favourite bit: I hope I got this right. Bluebell law: if you turn a bluebell inside out without tearing it, you will be able to find love. And my favourite if You pick a bluebell you will be lead astray by fairies wandering lost forever. Bring on the spring!

Loved this book, a true little gem. I firmly believe that the more time we spend in nature, close to plants and the earth, the better off we'll be, in every sense. As a species, humans have lost touch with what matters, and it's so easy to slowly start bringing the outdoors into your life, sometimes people need a bit of help.

What a lovely, fresh book with great little tips and projects to keep us connected to nature throughout the year. Each section was dedicated to a season, with details about the living world outside with which we can engage. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and will refer back as needed to ensure I remind myself of the power of nature and being outside. As someone who really feels the seasons and the changes they bring, I found this book grounding and sweet.

The author talks a lot about her children, so it is worth noting in case this is a trigger for some. The book, whilst based around the seasons, also revolves a little around the school calendar - great for parents but not so much for childless people.

Crossley’s lovely book is an ode to the enjoying the four seasons in nature. Beginning in spring and working through all four seasons, she recounts personal memories, gives recipes, craft ideas and other ways to enjoy the bounty that nature has to offer, leaving space for readers to scribe their own experiences with the natural world.

this was a completely different type of read to what I would normally choose so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

Some nice ideas for people who like to reconnect with nature and for giving ourselves a little bit of a time out from the hustle and bustle of daily living

One of my family’s biggest saviours and blessings during lockdown has definitely been the garden! Not only has it been a safe space to still enjoy the outdoors and have a run around, but it’s been an integral part to us slowing down, enjoying and connecting with nature in a way we haven’t done for a while. And that’s exactly what this pretty journal is about...

With seasonal reflections and activities, gardening tips and short recipes, think of this as a beginner’s guide to all things nature. The chapters are divided by the four seasons and I’ve zipped through spring and summer. The Informal, friendly tone makes this a really comforting and feel-good read - I particularly enjoyed the anecdotes and short facts that emphasise the affects of nature on mental health and overall wellbeing.

It IS a journal, which means there’s room for you to write your own thoughts and engage with prompts, so I wouldn’t recommend the kindle version, which is what I have! Time to get the paperback 😉

Such a beautiful, interactive book. The author, Willow, grew up in rural Wales and spent most of her young adult years in London. She was swept up in city life and forgot about the countryside. When her boyfriend got the offer of moving to the French countryside to look after a vineyard they both jumped at the opportunity. Willow talks about her mental health after she suffered from post-natal depression. She also packs the book full of gardening ideas for the whole year. This is definitely a book to savour and delve back into, mainly aimed at new gardeners this could also appeal to well seasoned gardeners as well with different ideas and reflections of nature.
